On Wednesday [September 11], the U.S. Supreme Court struck down an injunction against President Donald Trump’s asylum policy. The policy — which states that asylum seekers from Central American countries cannot apply for asylum in the U.S. unless they were first denied asylum from Mexico or from a third country — arguably fits under Trump’s constitutional authority, but liberal judges have repeatedly blocked it.

Trump celebrated the Supreme Court ruling shortly after it was published. “BIG United States Supreme Court WIN for the Border on Asylum!” he tweeted.

The Supreme Court’s order temporarily reversed a lower court ruling that had blocked the asylum policy in some states along the southern border.

While the order does not include an opinion from the Court, Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote a dissent. “Once again the Executive Branch has issued a rule that seeks to upend longstanding practices regarding refugees who seek shelter from persecution,” she wrote. “Although this Nation has long kept its doors open to refugees—and although the stakes for asylum seekers could not be higher—the Government implemented its rule without first providing the public notice and inviting the public input generally required by law.”

The Trump administration should have gone through the normal rule-making process, but the constant injunctions from liberal judges seem a clear attempt to undermine the duly-elected president’s authority. This particular case is also far from over, and the Supreme Court’s order admitted that it will “terminate automatically” under certain circumstances.

The Trump administration has made deals with Mexico and Guatemala that would keep many asylum seekers out of the U.S. while their cases are heard by an immigration judge.

There is also good reason to suspect asylum seekers are trying to take advantage of the system. Immigration courts deny more than 80 percent of asylum seekers’ claims, and they only denied 42 percent of claims ten years ago.

In Jesus precious Name, I thank our Triune God for guiding and providing leadership to manage and control the seemingly mass immigration of many people around the world. In Jesus Name, I rebuke the powers of darkness that create chaos. I plead for restoration of world governments that serve their people for the good of their citizens. I pray for all people who are suffering. I pray for their safety, and all their spiritual, physical, emotional needs in the turmoil. I pray a spiritual revival over and through the whole of the immigration problem. I praise and THANK THE LORD that He is SOVEREIGN and reigns over all. Amen

God is raising up many people at this time to pray all around the borders of this great nation of ours. Don’t know all the why’s that this is taking place. But I’ve seen other people posting the same prayers as God has directed me to pray. So I am inviting others to join us in praying for this great nation of ours. Let the Holy Spirit direct you as you begin praying for our nation & for it’s protection from attacks of the enemy, uprising from within our own nation, & the spiritual crisis throughout our nation. Lets become united in our prayers as we come together & agree as one for the safety of our nation.

Lord, I pray for those suffering in nations, especially Venezuela. I pray for just rulers and safe environment. Bring revival to the land so the people can live in peace and don’t need to leave their country for safety. I pray they won’t look to the US for their Haven, but look to their heavenly Father. Continue to give us wisdom to know who to invite in and who is not supposed to be in our land.
