A content moderator who reviewed videos for TikTok is suing the social media company, alleging that it did not protect her from suffering psychological trauma after “constant” exposure to violent videos that showed sexual assault, beheadings, suicide and other graphic scenes.
For as long as 12 hours each day, Candie Frazier and other moderators reviewed “extreme and graphic violence,” including videos of “genocide in Myanmar, mass shootings, children being raped, and animals being mutilated” in an effort to filter out such content from being viewed by TikTok users, according to the lawsuit. The legal action was filed in federal court in California last week against TikTok and its parent company, ByteDance.
Frazier developed “significant psychological trauma including anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic stress disorder” as a result of her exposure to the videos, according to the lawsuit, which is seeking class-action status…
TikTok also said this month that it would adjust its algorithm after an investigation by the Wall Street Journal found that the technology could feed users streams of content focused on subjects such as depression and extreme dieting…
Similar allegations have been made by content moderators for other social media companies, including Facebook. Last year, Facebook (whose parent company is now called Meta) agreed to a $52 million settlement with thousands of moderators, after a lawsuit alleged that Facebook failed to protect them from traumatic content.

People keep complaining about social media, but they keep using it and allowing their children to do the same.
Just think what the impact could be if the majority of Christians stopped using these wicked platforms.
Break the addiction and protect your children. Amen.
Do a search on TikTok, it is all bad. The Chinese government is evil beyond belief and what they are pushing on Americans is (so) NOT allowed in their own country. Many Americans have become unable to live without this app which is nothing but a propaganda tool.
As I was typing I heard, “tune in and tune out.” Abba Father, we are so off course. Help us to tune into You and tune out the noise of social media. So much pain and suffering is called entertainment, it is supported. So many innocent children are being abused in countless ways, it is promoted. I pray platforms which are wholesome will replace TikTok and the like. Forgive us Lord, I cry out to you for ALL who are being hurt for the sake of perversity. I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, who humbled Himself unto death, for the sake of a sinful world. Amen

Remember this..every minute of time any of us-, or anyone.. spends there..our personal info is being sold to fund the sexual torture and death of children, and women- in human trafficking-, coming up through the southern border.
Sorry to be graphic..but it has to be said. Even If- we ” opt out” They. Do. It. Anyway. Because ‘they’ Do not have any concern for the law-much less human life- to put it mildly…hundreds of millions of dollars have jaded their hearts and souls..yall know his name- founder of that platform..and a whole society of behind the scenes minions that orbit there.. Its beyond- time- for us to be out of there. I uninstalled about 3 days ago.
Lord-, I pray for this woman-, this young girl -or whatever age she is.. that was employed by Tik-Tok- will be able to find You-.. in her journey, somehow will be able to receive the emotional and spiritual healing she needs- to be separated from that evil source of depression- that takes residence after prolonged exposure- and that You will send someone along side her.. in Your mercy,..that will be a conduit of Your healing.
Lord I pray for her healing by the power of Your holy spirit that your healing blood would flow through her.
In the Mighty Name of Jesus.
