It’s been said that if you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything. These days, the Left has a lot to remember because there are so many lies to keep up with. Nevertheless, those who cherish truth should not be discouraged because God is always working behind the scenes to bring it out into the open.

Radical Transgender Rights Bill Passed in Colorado

This week, the lies trumpeted by the Left were plentiful, but the voice of the truth could still be heard loud and clear. The first lie involved Colorado’s new law called the Protections for Transgender Individuals Act (HB25-1312). Also known as the “Kelly Loving Act,” this bill allows the Colorado government to essentially “kidnap” a child from his/her parents if they “deadname,” “misgender,” or disagree with the child’s preferred gender identity. WND reports, “It represents the most totalitarian legal destruction of parental rights in American history.”

The Left sees the Kelly Loving Act, named for a transgender “woman” who died in the 2022 mass shooting at Club Q in Colorado Springs, as a “beacon of hope to trans people across the country.” Trans activists contend, “our organizing works…To be trans is to know how to struggle. We will not stop this work until every trans person is safe and free.”

The Far Left, Marxist-leaning Red Phoenix News sees the passage of this bill as a grand triumph in a time where they claim that the Trump Administration is trying to “erase the existence” of trans people. They insist that “transphobic harassment” is a threat to the mental health and safety of people everywhere.

Parental Rights Thrown Under the Bus

Colorado Representative Jarvis Caldwell has fought long and hard against the Kelly Loving Act.  He states, “God willing, my kids will be by my side as I lay on my deathbed and take my last breaths on this Earth. NONE of you will be! YOU don’t care more about my kids than me…stop putting yourselves, the government, between us parents and our children. We are sick and tired of it. It’s not about hating trans people. It’s about putting yourselves in between us and our kids.”

The Center for Baptist Leadership notes that the transgender bill is “easily the most radical piece of legislation Colorado has ever seen.” While many brave pastors fought against the egregious legislation, there were “many Christians who turned a blind eye toward the bill.”

Religious Rights Under Attack

Pastor Michael Clary warned, “The downstream effects of this bill would make sharing the gospel illegal, since the gospel requires preaching God’s law, repentance of any/all sin, and explicit faith in Christ for salvation. If a Christian pastor or parent told a child to repent of embracing transgender identity, that would be a criminal act that could even lead to the state forcibly removing the child from the home.”

The Left wants everyone to believe that the trans community is being discriminated against and deserves special “rights.” Truthfully, those targeted by discrimination and injustice are people of faith who want to live their lives biblically, as well as anyone who acknowledges that a person cannot change their sex/gender just because they feel like it. The mental health of transgender people who aren’t living in reality is being protected over those who recognize the biological design for men and women. The truth is that God made humans as male or female. This cannot be changed through new names, pronouns, or surgeries.

Don’t Mess with Our Kids

Another explosive lie told by the Left this week involves a worship event that was held in “the heart of the Queer community” at a park in Seattle, Washington. The conservative Christian group, Mayday USA, sponsored the rally called Don’t Mess with Our Kids. Supporters of this movement “refuse to stand idly by while the children of our nation are indoctrinated by a liberal, political, and sexual agenda that seeks to destroy their God-given identities.”

Anger Erupts on the Left

Protesters in the hundreds made their appearance at the Christian event, waving transgender flags and yelling, “Go home, fascists.” In spite of this, worshippers sang songs peacefully and proclaimed the name of Jesus.

Members of the Freedom Socialist Party, Organized Workers for Labor Solidarity, and the Puget Sound Mobilization for Reproductive Justice and Radical Women were just some of the protesters at the event. With signs, banners, and shouts, they aimed to send a message that “bigotry is not welcome here.”

The scene quickly turned chaotic when angry demonstrators began clashing with the police. Officers arrested over 20 individuals on charges of assault and obstruction. As a result, the event had to be shut down early.

Christians Blamed for the Violence

Seattle’s Mayor, Bruce Harrell, blamed Christians for the violence at the event. He stated, “Today’s far-right rally was held here for this very reason–to provoke a reaction by promoting beliefs that are inherently opposed to our city’s values, in the heart of Seattle’s most prominent LGBTQ+ neighborhood. When the humanity of trans people and those who have been historically marginalized is questioned, we triumph by demonstrating our values through our words and peaceful protest–we lose our voice when this is disrupted by violence, chaos, and confusion…In the face of an extreme right-wing national effort to attack our trans and LGBTQ+ communities, Seattle will continue to stand unwavering in our embrace of diversity, love for our neighbors, and commitment to justice and fairness.”

Ross Johnston, a preacher and one of the organizers of the Mayday USA event, wrote on X, “The audacity of the Mayor of Seattle to claim that we as Christians were attacking is bigoted and the rhetoric of a God-hating politician whose ‘power’ came up against a superior force…PS: all arrests were from the protestor camp.”

Conservative best-selling author and radio host Eric Metaxas responded, “The Mayor of Seattle owes Christians in this city a heartfelt apology–and as soon as possible! This sort of bigotry toward ANYONE is unacceptable. Shame on him and ANY leaders who are THIS ignorant of the American concept of Religious Liberty. Totally unacceptable.”

The Left claims their rights are being assaulted when the truth is that there’s an open war on religious liberty, especially in liberal cities like Seattle. The First Amendment guarantees Americans the right to gather and worship peacefully. This is what Mayday USA was doing when the event was violently attacked by protesters. The only bigotry in this situation was against Christian worshippers who were exercising their God-given rights.

Medical Journals Under Investigation

The third lie told by the Left this week has to do with some of the country’s most prestigious medical journals. The U.S. Department of Justice launched an investigation into journals such as the Lancet, New England Journal of Medicine, and JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) for pandemic bias, fraud, and corruption.

During a recent podcast, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stated, “We’re probably going to stop publishing in the Lancet, New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, and those other journals because they’re all corrupt. And even the heads of those journals, like Marcia Angell, who for 20 years was head of the New England Journal of Medicine, says that we no longer are a science journal. We are a vessel for pharmaceutical propaganda.”

In fact, Marcia Angell has publicly admitted, “It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as editor of The New England Journal of Medicine.”

The Left cites harassment and intimidation as the reason why the once highly acclaimed journals are being targeted. As DOGE moves to cut federal funding for science, health, and research, they claim they are victims of a “wider radical dismantling of the USA’s scientific infrastructure.” Additionally, the left-leaning NPR decries that the Trump Administration has been trying to stifle communication of federal scientists by forcing them to scrub “woke gender terminology.”

In contrast to these comments, the current editor-in-chief of the Lancet, Dr. Richard Horton, has admitted on record that, “The case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps half, may simply be untrue. Afflicted by studies with small sample sizes, tiny effects, invalid exploratory analyses, and flagrant conflicts of interest, together with an obsession for pursuing fashionable trends of dubious importance, science has taken a turn towards darkness.”

Cardiologist and medical freedom advocate Dr. Peter McCullough and other doctors have encountered what they call the “Journal Cartel” firsthand. They maintain that their peer-reviewed studies were relentlessly censored. During the COVID pandemic, studies that linked the COVID-19 vaccines to injuries and death were rejected or retracted. Research citing the effectiveness of alternative therapeutics for COVID was ignored.

In truth, the reason for the investigations into medical journals is that “gatekeeping, targeted censorship, and unethical retractions have suppressed urgently needed, life-saving research—particularly any that challenges pharmaceutical narratives regarding vaccine safety.”

Each week, more and more lies will bubble to the surface, but the truth will always drown them out. Thorough research, discernment, and prayer are the remedy to being drawn into deception.

Lord Jesus, give us eyes to see and ears to hear so that we may always perceive what’s true in a world full of lies. Help us be alert and wise as we read and watch the latest news reports.
