It’s been said that you can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time. The Left seems to think they can fool everyone all the time, but they are only fooling themselves.

Being Woke Doesn’t Pay

The first lie told by the Left this week has to do with one of America’s favorite, nostalgic restaurants–Cracker Barrel. For decades, the family-friendly, southern-style atmosphere has drawn in people from all walks of life. At Cracker Barrel, one can step back in time, relax, and eat a heapin’ pile of biscuits and gravy with a smile.

Unfortunately, the Left loves to ruin a good thing. Cracker Barrel’s new CEO, Julie Felss Masino, took charge less than a year ago and decided the restaurant was “not as relevant” as it used to be. This is why the iconic logo recently received an update. The original logo featured the figure of an “Old Timer” in overalls leaning against a barrel with the words Cracker Barrel etched on a gold background. The “update” removes the “Old Timer” and the barrel, leaving behind only the words Cracker Barrel.

New Logo is an Epic Failure

The minimalist design didn’t get the rave reviews the company was hoping for. Sean Davis, the CEO of the Federalist, says, “The new logo is so dead and lifeless, Democrats are thinking of running it for president in 2028.” Upward News commented, “The latest rebrand–removing Americana décor and the white man from its logo to make the chain ‘more welcoming’–is not a fresh marketing pivot. It’s the culmination of a decades-long effort to bring Cracker Barrel into the good graces of the progressive establishment.”

Changing the logo isn’t the only woke move made by Cracker Barrel. During Pride Month in 2023, they featured a rainbow-painted rocking chair on their Instagram post along with a message saying, “Everyone is always welcome at our table (and our rainbow rocker).” This did not sit well with longtime customers who saw “the rainbow version as needlessly hijacking an iconic symbol.”

Initially Leftists seemed to be clueless about the backlash Cracker Barrel received. Even as stocks were plunging and countless customers everywhere were complaining, the CEO seemed to think the feedback was “overwhelmingly positive.”

Cracker Barrel Does a 180

After a few days of undeniable backlash, Cracker Barrel quickly changed their tune, deciding to scrap their new logo. Below is their response on social media.

“We thank our guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel. We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our ‘Old Timer’ will remain. At Cracker Barrel, it’s always been – and always will be – about serving up delicious food, warm welcomes, and the kind of country hospitality that feels like family.”

The Left wants you to believe that “wokeness” means relevance. The truth, however, can be seen in the reaction to Cracker Barrel’s new logo. Customers made it very clear that going woke means going broke. Americans like Old Timers, barrels, and nostalgic America, not the Left’s so-called “progress.”

Museums Go Woke

As if things weren’t woke enough, the second lie told by the Left this week involves woke museums. On August 19, 2025, President Trump wrote on Truth Social, “The Museums throughout Washington, but all over the Country are, essentially, the last remaining segment of ‘WOKE.’ The Smithsonian is OUT OF CONTROL, where everything discussed is how horrible our Country is, how bad Slavery was, and how unaccomplished the downtrodden have been—Nothing about Success, nothing about Brightness, nothing about the Future. We are not going to allow this to happen, and I have instructed my attorneys to go through the Museums, and start the exact same process that has been done with Colleges and Universities where tremendous progress has been made. This Country cannot be WOKE, because WOKE IS BROKE. We have the ‘HOTTEST’ Country in the World, and we want people to talk about it, including in our Museums.”

A White House letter released on August 12 stated, “As we prepare to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our Nation’s founding, it is more important than ever that our national museums reflect the unity, progress, and enduring values that define the American story. This initiative aims to ensure alignment with the President’s directive to celebrate American exceptionalism, remove divisive or partisan narratives, and restore confidence in our shared cultural institutions.”

Executive Order Seeks to Restore Historical Truth

President Trump issued an executive order in March 2025 called “Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History.” Museums are expected to align their displays and exhibitions with this order. A comprehensive internal review is being done for the National Museums of American History, Natural History, African American History and Culture, and American Indian; the National Air and Space Museum; the Smithsonian American Art Museum; the National Portrait Gallery, and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.

The Left isn’t thrilled with President Trump’s order. NPR reports, “Trump Administration critics, including multiple Democratic Congressional representatives, like Rep. Bennie Thompson, have said this year that the President is trying to erase ‘black voices and history.’ The New York City Bar released a statement in June saying that it seemed like the president and his administration are trying to dismantle the 1964 Civil Rights Act.”

Far Left MSNBC Morning Joe co-host Jonathan Lemire reacted to Trump’s plans by declaring, “This is really bad and really, really dangerous. A nation needs to know its history. It has to be honest about its history to learn from it, to honor it, and also to then grow and improve for the present and future. There’s no way that rewriting a history to fit one president’s vision is good for a nation’s health or good for a nation’s democracy.”

The problem with the Left’s reaction is that the whole reason for the executive order was that woke museums are already rewriting history. America is suffering as a nation because of critical race theory and “progressive ideology,” which skews the facts and causes widespread division. The Left wants you to believe that woke museums are saving democracy, but the truth is that they are upending it.

Mail-In Ballots Must Go

The third lie told by the Left this week has to do with mail-in voting and election machines. In a detailed post, President Trump explained,

“I am going to lead a movement to get rid of MAIL-IN BALLOTS, and also, while we’re at it, Highly ‘Inaccurate,’ Very Expensive, and Seriously Controversial VOTING MACHINES, which cost Ten Times more than accurate and sophisticated Watermark Paper, which is faster, and leaves NO DOUBT, at the end of the evening, as to who WON, and who LOST, the Election. We are now the only Country in the World that uses Mail-In Voting. All others gave it up because of the MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD ENCOUNTERED. WE WILL BEGIN THIS EFFORT, WHICH WILL BE STRONGLY OPPOSED BY THE DEMOCRATS BECAUSE THEY CHEAT AT LEVELS NEVER SEEN BEFORE, by signing an EXECUTIVE ORDER to help bring HONESTY to the 2026 Midterm Elections. Remember, the States are merely an ‘agent’ for the Federal Government in counting and tabulating the votes. They must do what the Federal Government, as represented by the President of the United States, tells them, FOR THE GOOD OF OUR COUNTRY, to do. With their HORRIBLE Radical Left policies, like Open Borders, Men Playing in Women’s Sports, Transgender and ‘WOKE’ for everyone, and so much more, Democrats are virtually Unelectable without using this completely disproven Mail-In SCAM. ELECTIONS CAN NEVER BE HONEST WITH MAIL IN BALLOTS/VOTING.”

President Trump’s post got the Left twisted into a pretzel. The New York Times responded to what they called a power grab by writing, “The president had a plan to get rid of election procedures that he alleged were scams. He intended to dictate, apparently by executive order, how states should count and tabulate the votes. This was stunning. The only modern president who had refused to concede a certified election defeat now proclaimed his authority over election rules nationwide. Mr. Trump vowed that he wanted nothing more than to ‘help bring HONESTY to the 2026 Midterm Elections.’ Having tried his best once to undermine our constitutional system, Mr. Trump is the last American—literally or near enough—who should be entrusted to supervise the integrity of the vote.”

Unfortunately, the Left doesn’t acknowledge the major problems with ballot harvesting, fraudulent signatures, and gross negligence at voting precincts that occurred during the 2020 election. They are not concerned with voter verification or the fact that polls have shown that up to 40% of Americans no longer believe in the legitimacy of presidential elections.

The truth is that the identity of voters must be verified. A mail-in voting system that bypasses this security feature will be ripe with fraud. Additionally, voting machines, like the ones used in the 2020 election, can be hacked. Votes and numbers can be changed, resulting in fraudulent results.

America needs a voting process that’s fair, honest, and secure so its citizens can trust that their vote counts. Mail-in voting and voting machines fail the smell test when it comes to election integrity.

Lord Jesus, the lies are never-ending, but we are thankful to be given wisdom and discernment that comes from You. Please guide us in all matters of truth.
