I Prayed have prayed
Thank you for this community who wants to be known for defending life and not for abortion. We pray blessing on this council and town for standing for righteousness.

Texas border city with a population of about 2,200 has declared itself a sanctuary for the unborn and has banned abortion. Waskom, Texas, which borders Louisiana 20 miles west of Shreveport, claims to be the first city in the nation to become a “Sanctuary City for the Unborn” by way of a resolution and ordinance unanimously passed by five members of the city council Tuesday night.

The ordinance makes organizations that perform abortions or assist in obtaining them “criminal organizations,” such as Planned Parenthood, NARAL Pro-Choice Texas, and others like them.

It was modeled after the city of Roswell, New Mexico’s resolution declaring it a “sanctuary city for the unborn.” But the Texas ordinance goes even further because it bans abortions within city limits.

“The Supreme Court erred in Roe v. Wade when it said that pregnant women have a constitutional right to abort their pre-born children,” the ordinance reads, in part.

Mark Lee Dickson, director of Right to Life of East Texas, presented the idea to the city council, frustrated that elected officials in Austin weren’t passing any “meaningful legislation that protects unborn life.”

“This is why we had to take things into our own hands and take it to the grassroots level,” Dickson told Fox News. “Due to the recent pro-life legislation in Louisiana being so strong and due to the risk of an abortion clinic one day moving to Waskom, Texas, we decided to do something to protect the city, which was passing an ordinance outlawing abortion in Waskom, Texas.”

Dickson added that in the past an abortion clinic was looking to move to Waskom, which would have served a 200-mile radius, making it an abortion destination.

In the city, known as “The Gateway of Texas,” Dickson said city officials would not make it a destination for abortion but instead focus on the Bible verse Amos 5:15, which says, “Hate evil, and love good, and establish justice in the gate.”

The move came two days after a right to life group held a rally with the First Baptist Church of Waskom against abortion.

“What city, what county, what state, is saying to the federal government, ‘here, we will no longer murder our babies?'” said Rusty Thomas, the national director of Operation Save America, a Christian conservative group. “Hey, Washington, D.C., you can do whatever you want to do. For this town, we’re saying no babies will be aborted. Not under our watch.”

I feel the Lord showed me that if family’s would pray over their children (especially wayward ones) to close their womb/sexually desire until marriage, He would do so. Quoted scricpure versus, God closed Hannahs womb…

Even Social workers in authority in communities can pray over things like human trafficking issues, etc

Blessings

Abortions are murder!! Everyone will be judge by the life they lived. No one will be able to explain to God that abortion are OK. Women’s rights do not supersede God’s rights! Sixth commandment – Thou shalt not commit murder!

God Bless the courage of the leaders of this town. I pray the protection of the Holy Spirit on this town & the people in it.

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord.

Living in California, I humbly ask for forgiveness on behalf of our states stand on abortion. I love the bravery of this city to guard the city gates from abortion. Lord, keep them safe from the attacks of the enemy and give them wisdom to stay one step ahead of these attack. In Jesus’ powerful name. AMEN So be it.

      Hi Cathy
Thank you for your prayers for us Christians in California my sweet Sister in Christ.
We thought we were going to be moving out of CA but God wanted to use us here. All we could say was “We are willing to do Your will“. We need His strength. It breaks my heart to see what is happening & even celebrated here. I can’t even understand how it must break our Father’s heart. Keep on praying. The fight I s NOT over yet.

We will stand with Mark Dickson, God hates hands that shed innocent blood. We will speak truth and not be afraid of what the world says about us. Romans 12:9 here Paul writes, Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. When Paul says “Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good” he is not rejecting the notion that evil is defined by what “I” abhor; and he is rejecting the notion that good is defined by what “I” hold fast too. There is such a thing as good and evil. Good and evil is a reality outside of us. They are good and evil objectively. There is reality out there.
Evil is not what “you” want to be evil. Liking something does not make it good and hating something does not make it evil. There is reality and then there is you. You don’t make it good or evil. Good and evil don’t change, we change.
Paul says, here is GOOD, and here is EVIL. Now bring your emotions and your will into conformity to what is objectively there. When you face the objective evil: hate it. And when you face the objective good, embrace it. Now what makes good good? And what makes evil evil? Verse 2: Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
The reason there is such a thing as objective good outside ourselves is that there is God outside ourselves. God has made himself known objectively and historically in Jesus Christ in Scripture.
If there were no God – if there were no Christ – then the good would be subjective, not objective.
There is God above you. And therefore right and wrong have objective reality apart from you.
Paul didn’t say “choose against evil and choose good”. His words are very strong, “Abhor” – loathe, be disgusted. “hold fast to what is good” means embrace it, Love it. Don’t just avoid it but hate it. Don’t just choose good, embrace it. The battle is to get our emotions changed, not just our behavior. The Bible commands that our emotions be changed. We must be born again. That which is merely born of the flesh loves the things of the flesh. That which is born of the spirit loves the things of the spirit (john 3:3-7; Romans 8:7-8; I Cor 2:14-16).
The new covenant, purchased for us by the blood of Christ (Luke 22:20;
I Cor 11:25 must be fulfilled in our lives, if our emotions are going to conform to God’s view of good and evil.
Ezekiel 36:26 “And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit and I will put within you.” God must give us a new heart if we are going to hate and love as we ought.
God decides what is good and what is bad and we follow that and call it love, because what God says is good is good for people, and what God says is bad is bad for people.

Lord, bless these individuals for their insight into the future of this city which borders Louisiana and preserving life in the womb. Allow your protection from heaven to permeate the radius of this small and surrounding TX/LA town. Forgive those who seek forgiveness for the criminal medical procedures of destroying these innocent lives. If the medical community ignores your warnings, do your will…I cannot imagine the horrors in hell that awaits those who murdered the innocent lives, while they practiced medicine. We understand, vengeance belongs to your justice dear Lord, and you will serve it accordingly. Amen!

I only have one concern that the Liberals will use this as a precedence for for forming a sanctuary city “for” abortion rights of their citizens. This might be opening a Pandora’s Box? Maybe a lawyer can tell us.

David, I understand your thought, but really, haven’t they already declared entire states “sanctuary cities” for abortion when they pass abortion laws? So, as I understand your concern, really it is already happening. Illinois is a sanctuary state for abortion killing. New York is a sanctuary city for abortion killing. . .

There are people like him in government and they are starting to come forward. They just have to be strong and pray for the strength of the Holy Spirit to speak up and do the right thing. God’s mighty army is starting to rise up because we have had enough of the evil in this country that God has so richly blessed. We cannot spit in God’s face by killing innocent babies because there will be a price to pay when God finally says “no more!”

Glory to God for the strong stand this Texas town is taking. May others begin to take a stand for life and not be shaken from their resolve in legislating for their towns. The Bible teaches….”choose life”.
May the body of Christ rise up and stand on Biblical principles, and may it happen all over America.
