A series of ads will play during the SuperBowl titled “He Gets Us.”  There is controversy over whether they accurately share the gospel or lean to a social gospel message. Have you seen them?  Share your thoughts in the comments below.

From Sportskeeda. The Super Bowl is a time when the best of the best in the NFL come together to put on an absolute show with much of the world watching. It’s also a time when advertisers put on their best show.

Pray for your fellow intercessor.

According to Fortune Magazine, a group of anonymous donors is preparing to spend a pretty penny on what has been described as an “authentic Jesus ad”. [Other disagree about their portrayal and its shallow gospel message.]

“It’s the latest in a series of commercials that have run for the past 10 months under the banner ‘He Gets Us.’” …

[The] advertisers maintain that they’re not being political.

“We’re not ‘left’ or ‘right’ or a political organization of any kind. We’re also not affiliated with any particular church or denomination. We simply want everyone to understand the authentic Jesus as he’s depicted in the Bible—the Jesus of radical forgiveness, compassion, and love.”

Despite the controversy, the advertisers expect the ads to run and do well during the Super Bowl. … They also plan on running more of the same ads long after the big game. …

What do you think of this ad campaign? Share your thoughts and prayers below.

I am thankful for the ads, amongst all the darkness, that is out in the media, It is a light in the darkness, and the darkness comprehend it not. Religion will not like it but every person needs to know that Jesus loves them and he was persecuted too.

Is it fair to say Jesus “didn’t get” the the money changers , the dove sellers, the ones that turned the Lords house into a “den of thieves” ?

You have to start somewhere to get the attention of those needing CHRIST. Yes, I like the ads and the surprise ending. It’s not traditional but is reaching out.

I wasn’t sure about the actual TV ads, although the one with the subtitle, “Jesus didn’t want us to act like grownups,” clearly ignored Ephesians 4:14. There is no question that the website “HeGetsUs.org” is a confusing amalgamation of just about every social gospel, humanist, or secularist viewpoint about Jesus that has ever existed. Just about every imaginable departure from salvation by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ as God Incarnate can be found there – and if any is to show up that they haven’t covered, it says they will welcome it. Also, it is clear from the composition of the text throughout that anyone who tries to correct or challenge them in any way will be treated as hate-motivated. I am truly shocked that the family owning Hobby Lobby reputedly put up some or all of the millions required for Super Bowl advertising. I had regarded them as Christians. But now I must ask what kind, if at all.

People may be giving their lives to ‘Jesus,’ but is he the Jesus of the Bible? Do they understand what that means? Are they turning away from sin and dedicating their lives to the holy King Jesus who is returning for His pure and spotless bride to whom we will have to give account? I understand that changing times might require different methods. Many evangelists were considered radical in their time for methods they employed that were considered outrageous and shocking, (like the Salvation Army), but we should take great care not to change the person of Jesus with the methods!

For years my church has been softening its messaging to the point that we no longer define, expect or even mention righteousness other than the fact that Jesus paid for it. They preach in general terms, (mostly how much Jesus loves, helps and cares for us.) They say they believe we should live Christian lifestyles but don’t define them although we have people living in open sin. Topics like sin, hell and judgement are not taught, neither do we address the woke, trans, LGBTQ+ movements, abortion or other current topics. At what point do we have the ‘different Jesus’ the Bible warns us about?

I don’t believe my church leadership are deliberate deceivers or wolves but I do think that the political correctness movement has neutered the Gospel we preach to the point that I doubt going forward and praying ‘the prayer’ without being taught the rest of the Gospel saves anyone.

I used to think 2 Corinthians 11:4 meant that false teachers would start new movements with different gods and named Jesus but due to the current state of the church, I believe it could include that but our current the problem seems to be that the Jesus we preach is so watered down and distorted, he’s unrecognizable as the God of the Bible. We need to pray like never before that we (and new believers) are not deceived – Jesus cannot be our Savior if He is not our Lord.

This article has an interesting perspective on the ads and uses one of their images that I found disturbing: https://email.revelationmedia.org/does-jesus-need-to-be-rebranded?ecid=ACsprvu-JZwA3sIvucCU5xS2-sy4ft5_CvjgJCDe9ttl0Tp1uY4q_ac7ijNv83TOOCFWoQF1QlaW&_hsmi=245536859&_hsenc=p2ANqtz-9fHCRZTpg-wdf_p45WQfe7wuzr_sMudD_0Ujlgft_vacOTLX0XAIFX7L1iZDzMmBtJ1KKzbg3QbF89dvxJpjaWudIC3g

I read the article/email to which you linked, from Revelation Media. I was very surprised, after what seemed like a Biblically sound beginning, that they plan to make their iBible and other materials available through this organization’s mobile app. We don’t need to ask if Jesus “needs rebranding.” Paul’s Spirit-inspired epistles answer that question if we truly study the whole Word of God. About the most charitable thing I can say about the idea of “rebranding Jesus” is that it will certainly appeal to those who accept the Progressive attitude that anything as old as the Gospel is just HAS to be outdated and ineffective. There’s a difference between “old-fashioned” and “timeless and eternal,” and some people, whether born again or not, just don’t get that.

IFA,
I think that you confused people with what you put here.
You put in the article from Sportskeeda but in the middle of it you put in the devotional GOD’S ATOMIC WEAPON – THE BLOOD OF JESUS.
This might have confused some of the people here into thinking that the image from the devotional was related to the He Gets Us campaign.

So to clear the misunderstanding, please direct people to the He Gets Us page which speaks about their agenda:
https://hegetsus.com/en/he-gets-us-has-an-agenda

He Gets Us has an agenda.

How did the story of a man who taught and practiced unconditional love, peace, and kindness; who spent his life defending the poor and the marginalized; a man who even forgave his killers while they executed him unjustly — whose life inspired a radical movement that is still impacting the world thousands of years later — how did this man’s story become associated with hatred and oppression for so many people?
And how might we all rediscover the promise of the love his story represents? Those are the questions at the heart of He Gets Us.
We’ve done a lot of homework on our culture. We researched how people feel about each other and what they think about Jesus and Christianity. We’ve connected with thousands of people of various faith traditions and those who claim no religion. We spoke to all kinds of people — different backgrounds, beliefs, and, yes, political affiliations. And this is what we’ve learned: From politics to sexuality and religion, so many of us feel like our values, beliefs, and identities are under attack by the ideological “others” around us. Many perceive those who differ with them on issues of justice, dignity, and humanity as not just wrong or misguided but also as evil. As enemies. We often see these “others” as close-minded, selfish, hypocritical — and if we’re honest, many of us respond in kind.
The more ideologically defensive we become, the more we are willing to sacrifice things like kindness, patience, and the respect and dignity of others for the sake of victory — the righteous ends justifying the dehumanizing means. And it’s tearing us apart. We experience it in politics, in the workplace, in schools, and even in churches. And at the heart of the conflicts is a fundamental disagreement about what it means to be good.
Throughout our shared history, Jesus has represented the ultimate good that humankind is capable of aspiring to. And though some no longer believe in God, most are still compelled by the idea of a person capable of unconditional love for others despite their differences. But many of us simply cannot reconcile the idea of that person with the way our culture experiences religion today. Whether it’s hypocrisy and discrimination in the church, or scandals both real and perceived among religious leaders, or the polarization of our politics, many have relegated Jesus from the world’s greatest love story to just another tactic used to intensify our deep cultural divisions.
How did we get here? And what might we learn from the example of Jesus to help move beyond the animosity we feel for one another? How can we rediscover the life and teachings of Jesus, the world’s most radical love activist? That is our agenda at He Gets Us: to move beyond the mess of our current cultural moment to a place where all of us are invited to rediscover the love story of Jesus. Christians, non-Christians, and everybody in between. All of us.

THIS MESSAGE ISN’T BIBLICAL!

https://hegetsus.com/en/how-did-jesus-deal-with-injustice

No matter what we think of Christianity, most people can agree on one thing. During his lifetime, Jesus set a pretty good example of peace and love. And it’s not like he had an easy life.

He faced insurmountable controversy. So often, he was the target of unjustified hate. How did he stifle his outrage?

Sometimes, he didn’t. Jesus channeled his anger in defense of others when it really mattered. When he saw opportunists taking advantage of the poor, he confronted them without hesitation. But he knew how to pick his battles. Once, a group of men spit in Jesus’ face, struck him, and slapped him, and yet, he did nothing to retaliate.

Living today, it’s hard to imagine how he swallowed his rage. We’ve all noticed our blood boiling when politics come up in conversation, and we’ve felt the temptation to lash out on social media. It seems that every day, we’re faced with something new to fight about. Even though our anger is often justified, it’s taken a toll on our ability to engage with one another. And honestly, it doesn’t feel good.

By telling this story, we reminded ourselves that even when we’re tested and trolled, we have the option of rising above.

I looked at their website. It seems like it is designed to draw in unbelievers, especially those who are gen-x who are rejecting the Truth they grew up with, etc. As their devotional studies go on, they contain more truth. They talk about repentance, etc. To me, they are reaching out to the lost where they are and about what they are thinking. Jesus did that. I feel slightly uncomfortable with the social gospel-ness of the messages, but I think that will touch more hearts and draw them to deeper truths of Scripture. Think about the Jesus People movement, many of whom are still strong in the Lord today.

Many years ago, a friend of mine who went to Bible college pointed out that a loaf of bread can have the most wholesome ingredients except for one, but if even a small percentage of strychnine is present, it can still kill you. The issue is not whether there is “some truth” present in the devotionals on HeGetsUs.org, but whether error is present and how intense it is. Just in their “…Has An Agenda” article, I found a wide variety of social gospel, humanist, secularist, and other ideas about Jesus, all of which they say you are welcome to keep. They even say you’re not expected to believe Jesus is God, when you start reading or later. Don’t break that bread with me, please.

I think Jesus Christ said no one can do evil in my name, and if the ad can connect with even one sinner and cause them to turn to seek more answers then Glory be to God, I’d much rather hear ads pointing to goodness virtue and Truth than ads pointing to vaping, alcohol and the devil .. let’s pray God move in a mighty way to draw more people to know Who He is and that yes He Gets us through it over it and above it if we put our faith and trust in Him and Follow Him .. continue to motivate and shine the light for Christ🕊✝️🕊

This particular group represents a clear and present modern danger to the Christian faith. This is NOT something that true believers in Christ should embrace; rather it should be exposed. This group promotes “acceptance” and “tolerance,” not repentance and sanctification. “Come out from among them and be ye separate” is not their message, but rather “He gets us and accepts us as we are.” But they refuse to go the extra step to say that after “acceptance” should come “renewing of the mind.” All Satan needs to to adjust our focus a little to win. We must stand firm in saying that, yes Jesus accepts us as we are; however, that acceptance and forgiveness must be followed by a complete and genuine renewal of our minds and hearts to a pursuit to be more like Him.

The commercials send a partial message, at best. What would be more effective is a photo of the remains of Sodom and the cities of the plains nearby after God had to bring judgement on them. The world today is exactly like Sodom and Gommorah was daily till God got sick of their unspeakable sins. Stand by for His judgement of our present day world, or repent in godly sorrow for your sins of unworthiness of His salvation. The present world is too jaded and hard hearted for a holy message to sink in. Most would scream curses of offense and demand messages from the demonic infested stars from the Grammys and the satanists in Hollywood. It is too late to save most of them. They no longer crave decency and salvation. A message of PRAY HARD FOR YOUR LOVED ONES AND YOURSELF would be more direct and truthful, also the message written on the wall of Babylon would be totally appropriate, from the Lord Himself.

Linda Lucas
February 12, 2023

I never really understood the Bible completely till I read it cover to cover. But I think a message from a true Christian would have bits of God’s Word that motivated them in the first place. I would not select this particular message. I would not use fear tactics, but would tell people about the love of Jesus and how He suffered many of the daily things we have had to deal with and how He used His love for people more often than His anger.

In 1 Corinthians 9 Paul talks of becoming all things to all men – as a Jew to Jews, as not under the law to those not under the law, to the weak as weak – that by all means he may save some. In that the church has not been sharing the gospel very much over the past several decades, I do pray these ads would draw people to Himself, even with the concern that Jesus might be presented as something of a self-help, good guy. For twenty million, I sure hope they don’t misrepresent Jesus.

The site talks of Jesus crucified, risen and in heaven. The refugee clip deals with Joseph and Myriam (Mary’s actual Hebrew name) going to find a place on their way to give birth to Yeshua. He actually was being persecuted even before His birth and certainly after, so He was “running” from those who wanted Him dead, too.
Here’s my point, Paul says that even if God’s message is peddled for profit, it’s still being preached. So, in a time when the word “God” is no longer ascribed to Yud Heh Vav He (YHVH-God’s actual personal name which He shared with Moses), but to some esoteric benevolent being, I think this group is doing what John did. His gospel, separate from the three synoptic gospels, went head first in to what truth was at a time when many were asking what truth was.
When Paul preached to those who didn’t know Christ, he soft shoed, as during the time when he said the people’s unknown god was actually the Creator of heaven and earth, and to the totally messed up Corinthian “christians” he wore his steel toe boots.
My suggestion is to pray for God to prepare hearts, minds and to open ears to receive the seeds that will be planted without interruption. If anyone has ever watched IFA, they’ll see first hand how the message can get disrupted, even on the prayer call lines.
Let’s give God the glory for IFA and for what He is about to do.

Yes, something isn’t right about these ads, I’ve seen a preview or two. Being culturally relevant can go overboard, in this case I think they are. It’s a weak presentation of our great Lord. All they needed to do was print the verse of John 3:16 up on the screen for the entire length of their commercial with no sound whatsoever and I think that would have made a much bigger statement. Remember the old days when you always saw the big John 3:16 signs near the goal posts? Would have been a very memorable replacement for that.

I have a different take on this that other have replied. I have seen these commercials and they are a bit distributing to me. They mention Jesus in each commercial but not one commercial talks about Salvation. These advertisements are called He Gets Us.. “Jesus was a refuge” at the end in one commercial . This is made up.. That’s a lie. There is nowhere in the Bible where is says Jesus was a Refuge. Secondly, there is a Spanish version of this commercial and it’s not called the Refuge ad, but called the Immigration Ad. These ads could be called emotional manipulation… It’s a projection of political and cultural narrative of Jesus. It’s watering down Jesus. It’s laced with a lot of Social injustice. Another ad is called Jesus was an “influencer”. Another one is called “The Rebel”.. I like the effort behind this and support the idea. I “hope” they will be bringing people to Jesus. I don’t know if there is doctoral evidence in what churches were a part of these campaign ads and they cost over 20 millions to do. If you go to their web site, they says we look at the biology of Jesus thru a modern lens to find new relevance and often overlook moments in each ones life. What does that mean? I kinda look at that statement as a bad idea. I guess we will find out how people come down these ads.

Although Jesus is love, He’s also just. And because of His righteousness He will judge the world.
If He didn’t love you He wouldn’t discipline you. Jesus cannot tolerate sin. That goes against His
divine nature. If you don’t give the whole message, you’re damning people to hell. You have to
confess your sins and trust in Jesus to save you. Anything less than this is doing everyone a very
harmful eternal position, hell.

Luann, I agree, you must confess your sins and submit yourself to Jesus, however…. we are to be “Fishers of men” and a fisherman must first “catch” the fish BEFORE he can “clean” the fish. There are steps between hearing about Jesus and then accepting Him as Savior for most people. There are many who have been terribly wounded by the church and religion… there are those who have no knowledge of Him, and everything in between. Many people need to come to a place of trust and understanding before they get to the salvation part. Many churches fail either by NEVER giving the salvation message of repenting and confessing and accepting OR they shoot it with everything they’ve got without first demonstrating the characteristics of Christ and godly living in a way that a person can grasp.
I’m not saying that a salvation message displayed isn’t a good idea, just that there are many who would not even get it because the church has done such a poor job living and demonstrating the love and salvation of Christ. That can hardly be done in a 45 second ad.
In the bible, when Jesus encountered those who needed healing, he didn’t preach salvation to them first, He healed them, He loved them and He demonstrated that to them. A lost and dying world desperately needs to know that God IS love, Jesus loves them and wants them to surrender to Him… and WHY, but most do not get to that place by seeing or hearing a message of judgement as their first encounter.
Having said all that, I have NOT seen any of these ads, so I do not know whether to be excited or dismayed…. but I will pray that whatever intention those sponsoring them have, that above ALL, the Love of Jesus will shine through and capture the hearts and minds of those who see them and that they will seek Him as Lord & Savior of their lives! That God would receive ALL the glory!

Jesus is our Savior. So much of the ads do not show Jesus, but just a human showing humanity. The message is not about believing in Jesus as the sacrificial lamb to atone for our sins, so man kind does not spend eternity in hell where there is NO GOD. Hell is not the party capital of the afterlife. Belief in God through Jesus is to save us from Hell. Allows God’s plan of Eden to be on the new earth after the end has come. We can enjoy the comforts here on earth through belief. But the after life will be so awesome. Belief will get you to pass from hell, good works will give you more. Lots of good people will be in hell. The only way to Heaven (new Earth) is through Jesus. You only have this chance. Do it today ! Now! You are not promised another second. God does not want any body to go to hell. That is why he made a way for ALL.

I just spent the past several hours watching the videos through the links listed in some of the previous comments. They included actual footage of some of the ads. I am horrified by the picture they paint of Jesus.

Jesus is shown as a tattooed gang leader, just another fallen human being. Instead of drawing people out of their sin and degradation, He joins them in it. There is no mention of our sin and need for a savior, nor of His glorious identity as the Son of God. Mary is depicted as a teenage unwed mother, that they don’t know who the father is.

These ads do not glorify the real Jesus. Just “getting people talking” about Jesus is worthless and even harmful if all they know about Him is what they see in these ads–a deeply flawed and heretical picture of Him.

Paul said in Romans 10.14, “how are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard?”. Non-believers watching these ads will NOT have heard about Jesus. The Jesus they will see is just as lost, just as cynical as the viewers may be, and totally unable to save them. Even worse, the viewers will have no idea that they need to be saved.

May God bless the two Christian quarterbacks. Hopefully they will give a clear and winsome picture of Jesus, and that people will “get talking” about that!

I agree, Roxanne. The only “commercial” message that satan would allow and endorse for football fans is a lukewarm gospel that people who love sports more than Jesus would dismiss. If you are interested in salvation, go to someone who is totally sold out to Jesus and knows the Bible well. Right now in America, most audiences like these come to watch satan’s antics, not God’s. Just my opinion.

I look forward to seeing these ads; however, I’m a little skeptical that they might not show Jesus in His total character. In Mark 1, Jesus’ first words are ” . . . the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” All the love and compassion and ‘getting us’ does not save people. They must admit they are sinners and receive it personally. We continue to pray for the lost to have ears that can hear, hearts to be softened and minds to be changed, that they come to the saving knowledge of the truth.

She several friends contacted the website and pretended to ask real questions. The answers given were biblical and sound . The author didn’t like the answers since she is decidedly anti Christian. I researched more and believe this campaign is trying to engage those otherwise unreached.

Unless you tell them about sin and salvation then its just a watered down message and not the Good News.”Having a form of godliness but deniying it’s power. From such turn away.” 2 Tim. 3:5. To believe in the name of Jesus is to recognize that God is Salvation. This group supports homosexuality, gender confusion, and open borders. They are against traditional teaching which is given to us by the Holy Spirit. Use some discernment and go to their website and read “about us.” May God open your eyes to those preaching to itching ears. “Is not My Word like a fire, declares the LORD, and like a hammer that breaks a hammer in pieces? “

“He Gets Us” website and ads blaspheme Jesus.
It depicts Jesus embracing the very sin He died to save us from

Christian evangelicals and principal owners and executives of the retail chain Hobby Lobby are using Jesus and the Bible to promote the mass entry of illegal immigrants and the far-left LGBTQ agenda.

According to an extensive report from Revolver News, these ‘conservatives’ “are behind the new ‘He Gets Us’ and ‘Jesus Was a Refugee’ ads that are blowing up.”

“These ads use the Bible and Jesus to validate and even promote the chaos at the border and also to appeal to the LGBTQ/trans communities. And these Evangelical groups say they’re just getting started. Apparently, they plan to make this a full-fledged PR campaign,” the report continues.

As noted by NPR:

*The ads all stem from the central idea that “He Gets Us”. They discuss how “He” (Jesus Christ) was a refugee, had disdain for hypocrisy, and was also unfairly judged like other marginalized members of modern society.

I heard a sample of the ads. They are not about a SAVIOR, and they play into victimhood and the flood of illegals crossing our border. NOTHING about repentance or Lordship. One of the sponsors is Hobby Lobby, for which I have great admiration and appreciation. They were undoubtedly suckered by the producers. Sooooo watered down. “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” (John 12:32)

I don’t think these ad are good. They liken Jesus to just a human being who is like us and had struggles here on earth when He is the Son of God and He willingly came and knew exactly what He would go through. He is perfect and sinless. He is not a refugee or an illegal alien or LGBTQ. He is God in the flesh and holy and just in all His ways. These ads try to soften sin. You can’t sell Jesus.

When this ad campaign first began I was impressed. The ads were depicting Biblical truth of who Christ really is, His true character. Some of the later ads I have seen appear to me to be more political and lean more toward the “woke” ideaology.
Also, presenting Jesus as being a refugee is wrong, he and his family fled to Egypt for a short time, but Jesus grew up in the Galil and began and ended His ministry in Israel. I would not truthfully call Him a refugee.
Why would you do this unless you are promoting the illegal border crossings and all that entails? This only one example of these ads portraying Jesus and how “He Gets Us” in a way, that in trying to be “relevant”, is embracing “wokeism”.
I will see the ads while watching the Superbowl and am praying that they accurately portray a truthful and Biblical picture of Jesus Christ.
I am praying all those invoved in creating and those financially supporting this campaign.

If you are referring to the ‘He gets us’ campaign paid by Hobby Lobby, this is not a portrayal of His character. It’s blasphemous and very much what Jude describes. You can see the ‘Rebel’ ad in YouTube for example where troubled tattooed inner city kids jump fences and break the law, this is not our Lord. Jesus didn’t break the law, He said to give to Caesar what is Caesars. His issue was with the hypocrisy of the Pharisees. This is blasphemous and irreverent of our Savior. I pray that everyone here send an email to Hobby Lobby to tell them to stop this campaign . They’ve hired the wrong people.

The very FIRST thing that affected my heart & [S]pirit in a heavy, negative way, was the title, “He gets us”. That is blasphemous & greatly offensive to Thee Almighty, Holy GOD & SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, our CREATOR!

Those three words reveal the true author & promoter of such a campaign, who comes as ‘an angel of light’, but is the Master Deceiver….(many will be lured through such deception.)

The Holy Spirit is revealing that this is a precursor of paving the way for ushering-in of the anti-Christ.
HESUS has warned us to be alert, awake, watchful…and in prayer.

These ads are not proclaiming Jesus as Lord and Savior, but rather portraying Him as a refuge and influencer. A sinful people do not need Jesus to “identify” with them, but they need to be transformed by His saving grace. With some of the sponsors I have heard, I pray this is a misdirected effort that can be shifted to the true message of the Gospel.

I think we are wise to really check out who this is promoting this and for what reasons. Is this really the Jesus of the Bible? I’m any case, the Lord can make good out of any situation, so I pray that He bring people to Him even if this ad/group seems “off” from what the Bible actually teaches. But may our eyes be open to the truth and not fall into any traps of the enemy!

Good it is time to show that Jesus doesn’t care what Church you go to there is not just one denomination going to heaven. It’s the Church that is in you, your presonal relationship with Jesus. As brother Paul wrote “let each one work out his own salvation with fear(reverential awe) and trembling”. We need to know that Jesus loves us and the only way to salvation is through Him and once you believe that He is Gods only begotten Son came and died for all mankind and rose from the dead and is at the right hand of the Father making intercession for all that believe, then the Father gives us His grace so we can come into His presence to have forgivness. Amen.

February 11, 2023

The Jesus they are portraying is NOT the Jesus of the Bible. He was not a refugee or an influencer or a rebel; he was God in human flesh and He died for sinners. They do not get the message right and just trying to make Jesus relevant is not the way to bring people to Christ. There is way more to this ad campaign than meets the eye. It’s completely woke and a misrepresentation of Jesus and the gospel.

Almighty God, you know all things. My prayer is more and more people will think and investigate the truth of what the ads say and the pictures they use. You sent your son not as a royal leader, but as a carpenter; not in fine clothes but as a servant. In the investigation, I pray you will reveal the Truth and all people will respond to Jesus who is the TRUTH and they will be set free indeed. In your prescious son and our only savior, JESUS I ask these things.

I wonder whose idea it was to twist the holy gospel of Our Savior, JESUS CHRIST? Who is it that would want to.distort Truth for a secular, watered down, “woke” version of the gospel—-that could cause people to have false hope in a fake Jesus? Would it be God or Satan desiring people to go to hell because of believing a lie?( revisit Gen. 3 –Satan, the serpent deceiving Eve)

Because of our pride, we humans are easy prey for Satan’s strategies— even the elect can be fooled if we take down our guard. Jesus warned us in Matt. 24:4,5, “See to it that no one misleads you, for many will come in my name, saying. ‘I am the Christ, and will mislead many.’ ”

People are always worried about being political. Why? The Founding of our Nation is entwined in Biblical Principals. This is something that cannot be separated and done purposely. Separation of Church and State means the GOVERNMENT stays out of Church affairs, ie church leaders had a right to refuse shutting their churches when the gov said to shut them, instead they complied.

The Democrat Party and their Republican supporters want to change our country from one founded on Biblical values to one founded on liberal values and ideologies. They are using fear tactics to silence Christians and get them to comply; Being Political is one of them. In essence the wolf is leading the sheep astray and to the slaughter. If Christians really knew their American History and the Bible, they would be able to discern what they are trying to do.

A prayer for Superbowl LVII: “Father, we love it when U converge on our culture! Thats encouraging for a change. I think now that it has been established that we have such a strong front in acknowledging that it is not ungodly to love our nation and what that represents and that yes America was founded in Christianity and is a Christian nation.. it is okay- even commendable- to present Jesus without a political affiliation for greater viewing of the public of the America and the world. Remember that the first definition.. or one of the beginning definitions of nationality- is in the Bloodlines described in Scripture.. the Bloodlines of humanity. Being a nation is not a sin. And in our knee jerk super sensitive constantly staring in the mirror of the internet culture-, everything has been hyper attenuated.. let’s just be thankful that Jesus is being presented to the world in this way-. and that Hobby Lobby has the money to put up to do this.

Lord thank you that you are providing this Avenue of attention.. -,and declaring the banner being held high-,for your son Jesus, that we all may rejoice.. Lord lately I have seen you causing me to be more sensitive to your presence as I read& pray your word-,and in viewing symbols such as the one in this ad -,about “God’s Atomic weapon” showing the nails superimposed over the crown of thorns.. Lord-,what a great creative idea to display it that way. Thank you for your mercy Lord and that the world may be impacted in this way-, for your Son Jesus, – in Jesus mighty Name, Amen
