A strange package has been sent to people in multiple states: random, unidentified seeds from China.

Residents in Washington, Utah and Virginia have received small packages of seeds in the mail that appear to be sent from China, officials said.

“Today we received reports of people receiving seeds in the mail from China that they did not order,” the Washington State Department of Agriculture said Friday. “The seeds are sent in packages usually stating that the contents are jewelry. Unsolicited seeds could be invasive, introduce diseases to local plants, or be harmful to livestock.” . . .

“Invasive species wreak havoc on the environment, displace or destroy native plants and insects and severely damage crops,” the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services said in a statement Friday. “Taking steps to prevent their introduction is the most effective method of reducing both the risk of invasive species infestations and the cost to control and mitigate those infestations.”

Lori Culley, who lives in Tooele, Utah, told Fox 13 that she found two small packages in her mailbox Tuesday that had Chinese writing on them.

“I opened them up and they were seeds,” Culley told the news station. “Obviously they’re not jewelry!”

In Utah, at least 40 people had received mysterious seeds, Fox 13 reported. It is unclear how many people in Virginia and Washington were mailed a package of seeds, but officials said “several.”

What do you think about these mysterious seeds sent by China?

DO NOT BURN. Contact Dept. of Agriculture (if they can be trusted) Contact Police Department or something but don’t open, burn, or dispose of in trash.

It says they were mailed and received, but not what has been done with them. Coming from the CCP we can pretty much deduct they were sent for unholy, unhealthy reasons. Why weren’t we told what has been done with them – and where they should be delivered if it happens to us.

I don’t think anyone should use them in any way, and should be turned over to the government to be examined and find out what exactly is in them. WE CANNOT TRUST THE CHINESE in any way shape or form.

China wants to destroy the United States of America and take it over. Throw the seeds away because they will do harm and not good. Did you know that China owns Wal-mart, Costco, 5-Star hotels and motels, as well as other famous companies. They continue and/ or give them Americanized names.
Do not let China take over this country and make it Communist. They own Yellowstone also.

The seeds should not be thrown away! They need to be turned over to the government to receive proper examination and disposal. If they wind up in a dump or landfill they could spread and contaminate.

I pray that people who receive these seeds will be very careful and not just throw them out. They are potentially dangerous being that China did this type of thing. They are very underhanded and want to destroy us any way they can. As Katja Donato says, don’t even open them but send them on to the USDA with a warning on the outside of the package. Otherwise, maybe burn them unopened. We are definitely in warfare with China.

I WOULD NOT BURN THEM Some things shouldn’t be burned because it puts the poison into the air to breathe. For example, you should never burn poison ivy.

How do we dispose of them if they are potentially dangerous?

These seeds could be purposely contaminated with crop diseases or pests. The USDA doesn’t even allow the transport of agricultural products, such as fruit, plant parts and seeds across some state lines to protect states such as California and Hawaii from agricultural losses. As a crop scientist and entomologist I would advise people to not even open these packages and to forward them to the USDA with a warning on the outside of the package. China wants to destroy our country in very creative ways as we can see with their Covid-19 strategy.

Thank you for this information/insight. Also explains why in times past I’ve been unable to bring home some fruit from travel to California. I live on the East Coast and they have fruit there that we don’t see much of here.

The report I heard on the radio today said not to open them. If you have opened the package, seal it up and put the packet inside another bag/envelope and turn them over to the USDA.

The best way to discard the seeds are to burn them. This will make ensure that they will not grow.

Burning them could also put spores into the air. Someone needs to provide advice on what to do with them.
