Jesus, help us speak life instead of death, order instead of chaos, and faith instead of fear.

A spirit of fear is trying to permeate our nation due to the threats of the Coronavirus. The stock market is being impacted and entire cities are taking extreme actions to curtail any unnecessary exposure. Even as prophetic voices are exposing hidden political agendas, medical experts are clarifying the exaggerated alarms with practical wisdom and advice.

This past Monday morning, the Lord woke me up with the words, “Pray for Rome.” Not knowing why He would say this, I found out that over the weekend, Rome had begun shutting down their city due to the threats of the virus. I also saw that numerous cities in the U.S. were following suit and beginning to take drastic measures. I knew the Lord was calling the Church to pray specifically for cities and regions who were falling prey to a spirit of fear.

Pray about the spirits behind the coronavirus with the IFA prayer guide: Dismantling the Spirits behind the Coronavirus.

Pray and proclaim God’s Word over your community and this nation with IFA’s new bookmark-style  prayer guide:
The Power of Praying God’s Word in National Intercession.

We may not have control over the media’s propaganda or various political agendas, but we do have a say in what kind of atmosphere hovers over our own cities and communities. I believe this is where we have the most authority and the most responsibility in clearing the air and shifting the atmosphere from FEAR to FAITH. We need to rise up in our corporate spiritual authority to displace the illegitimate authorities that are seeking a foothold in our nation. In chapter 7 of my new book, “Moving from Sword to Scepter,” I talk about how intercessors can shift the atmosphere in their cities through prayer, worship, and a corporate spiritual authority far greater than any demonic threat or attack.

The posture of our hearts and the words from our mouths determine the atmosphere in a place. The power of our praises and our prayers can shift atmospheres in a room, a building, a neighborhood, and even an entire city. This is the amazing result of believers coming together in agreement and lifting up incense to heaven through their unified proclamations and worship. It permeates the spirit and displaces any demonic activity, making way for heaven to come down and God’s presence to be made known.

And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the hour of incense. And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. And Zechariah was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him. But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard…” (Luke 1:10-13).

In the early Church, the unity among believers was so strong that Scriptures speak of a “great grace” that was released in the city. This grace opened spiritual doors to miracles, signs, and wonders, along with salvations on a daily basis (see Acts 4:32-34). Earlier in this same chapter, it speaks of their daily fellowship and breaking of bread. Because of their corporate agreement and unified vision for the Kingdom, God’s grace empowered them to do far beyond what they could have done in the natural. This should be our desire as we come together as watchmen in prayer over our cities and nation. We can pray in such agreement with heaven that the atmosphere over the city begins to be permeated with the grace and favor of the Lord.

Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest?” (Isaiah 66:1)

Our spiritual adversary will continually find ways to spread fear, chaos, turmoil, and hopelessness over the land. It is OUR responsibility to displace those demonic spirits by keeping our corporate prayer altars ablaze. We must use our authority in Christ to displace rulers in high places and declare the work of the cross and the power of Christ’s resurrection.  It is the Body of Christ that has been given governing authority in the spirit to establish the preeminence of His blood over every threat, curse, and virus that seeks a home within our communities. Let’s agree together to speak life instead of death, order instead of chaos, and faith instead of fear.

  1. Amen and amen to Wanda’s message and to the above prayers. Let us remember that we are seated in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus far above powers and principalities which are under His feet. Let us remember we are clothed in the full armor of God. Let us remember that the weapons of our warfare are mighty for the pulling down of strongholds and imaginations and to bring these into submission to Jesus Christ. The Power of the BloodJesus Christ is against the machinations and lies of satan. May God re-invigorate and empower and protect our intercessors. In the Name above all names, Jesus Christ. Amen.

  2. 6 Surely the righteous will never be shaken;
    they will be remembered forever.
    7 They will have no fear of bad news;
    their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
    8 Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear;
    in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.
    Psalms 112.
    Dear Father, as the enemy has been unleashed to instill fear, I pray the enemy be leashed and bound by Your power. I pray You open the eyes of the American people to see the deception the enemy is putting forth. There is a lot of smoke, but not much fire, much roaring but not much bite. We see you satan and how you work. You are a liar and a troublemaker. Your frustrated because you thought you had free reign over our country, but God intervened. Now your plans are being thwarted and you fight back The only way you know how. You play dirty.

    I pray dear Father that You raise up Your army of believers and teach us to walk in the power You have given us. Help us to not fear, but understand with discernment that this but a season of testing and that if we stand strong it will pass an Your will be done. Teach us to be instruments that bring peace and love to our country. I pray You show us how to lean on You alone for everything. May we understand that our only security is in You. I pray for comfort and healing for all those affected by the virus. I pray the time for this trial to be shortened. May it burn itself out and recede quickly. I pray for the President and his team. Give them strength and protection from all harm. Give them wisdom to make proper decisions in this time of stress. And God, shut the mouths of the media that are being used by the enemy to whip up such a frenzy. We thank You, in faith, and trust You that Your plans, guided by our prayers are moving forward to bring restoration to our country.

  3. I come against the spirit of fear according to second Timothy 1:7. God did not give us the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. I come against lying spirits in the media that would cause a false sense of fear in the world. I call on God and his saints to pray in power and faith to overcome these evil spirits in the mighty, holy name of Jesus.

  4. The church is paralyzed also with fear! Rise UP and take your ordained place in prayer and in shouting the Word of God over the demonically inspired false fears of a man made and false pandemic.
