I Prayed have prayed
Father, thank You for Senator Manchin and his stance on the filibuster. We ask that You raise up more leaders like him to defend our nation.

Sen. Joe Manchin in an op-ed said that he will not vote to nix or weaken the filibuster.

“The filibuster is a critical tool to protecting that input and our democratic form of government. That is why I have said it before and will say it again to remove any shred of doubt: There is no circumstance in which I will vote to eliminate or weaken the filibuster. The time has come to end these political games, and to usher a new era of bipartisanship where we find common ground on the major policy debates facing our nation,” Manchin wrote.

The West Virginia Democrat called for bipartisan compromise rather than ramming legislation through the chamber on a party-line basis: “We will not solve our nation’s problems in one Congress if we seek only partisan solutions. Instead of fixating on eliminating the filibuster or shortcutting the legislative process through budget reconciliation, it is time we do our jobs,” he said. . . .

Even in cases where the filibuster is not an obstacle, unless Senate Democrats are able to secure some Republican support, any one member of the Democratic caucus could derail plans to pass legislation by a simple majority. . . .

Amen. Praying that more leaders will begin to take a stand for what is right. Let everyone who profess a relationship with Christ Jesus be brought under conviction & heart repentance as the light of your dear Son is being revealed in Jesus Name. Amen

I commend him. If the US Senate does not have a filibuster, there is no need for a Senate,

I will wait to SEE what Senator Manchin DOES! I will also pray that God will speak to this Senator and “open the eyes of his understanding.” I don’t know if he is a believer, but I pray that he is. If he is, I pray the Holy Spirit will guide him and give him the courage and wisdom to make godly decisions, and to stand boldly for what is right!
However, my hope, and I am sure yours, as well, is in the God, who is above all gods, the CREATOR of heaven and earth, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the GREAT I AM, Sovereign God!! That said, God uses His people to “stand in the gap.” He expects us to do our part, too.

Praise the Lord! He is using good sense. We need to have open conversations between the 2 major parties in America and not quell the voice of whoever happens to be in the minority at the time. I hope there will be more democrats in the Senate as well as in the House who will stand up against trickery. I must have not been the only one who wrote to Senator Manchin about my views (I’m a West Virginian)!

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for giving this man the morale courage to stand up against the corrupt plots of his own party. May his courage on this matter inspire more in his party to turn away from their current path of evil and instead seek truth and justice for all our nation’s people. May the wicked and corrupt be removed from government and brought to justice. In Jesus precious name I pray O Lord, Amen.
