Former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich on Saturday called for the creation of a truth and reconciliation commission to “erase Trump’s lies” and expose those who “enabled” them.
“When this nightmare is over, we need a Truth and Reconciliation Commission,” Reich tweeted. “It would erase Trump’s lies, comfort those who have been harmed by his hatefulness, and name every official, politician, executive, and media mogul whose greed and cowardice enabled this catastrophe.”
After he took flak from those accusing him of promoting totalitarianism, Reich appended a link to an article from The Conversation explaining the history of truth and reconciliation commissions and how they are supposedly intended to rectify historical injustices and heal the wounds of division.

The article said in part, “The goal of a truth commission — in some forms also called a truth and reconciliation commission, as it is in Canada — is to hold public hearings to establish the scale and impact of a past injustice, typically involving wide-scale human rights abuses, and make it part of the permanent, unassailable public record. Truth commissions also officially recognize victims and perpetrators in an effort to move beyond the painful past.” . . .
“The hope has been that restorative justice would provide greater healing than the retributive justice modelled most memorably by the Nuremberg Trials after the Second World War.” It concluded by claiming the United States needs a truth and reconciliation commission because of its “centuries of enslavement, state-sponsored racism, denial of civil rights and ongoing economic and social disparity.”
Reich’s idea echoed that of MSNBC host Chris Hayes, who earlier this month also called for a truth and reconciliation commission to “deal with” those who question COVID-19 protocols.

My goodness, this guy has an overwhelming allotment of hatred without a cause. As it says in Psalm 25, Amplified: Let those who forsake the right and deal treacherously without cause be put to shame and be disappointed. His rabid hatred blocks the love of God and leaves him devoid of compassion and courteous thinking, which leaves him without wisdom from God. When I read his words, it is as if arrows are being shot at me and they are not from the Lord either. I responded to this referenced quote on “social media”: “There is a Truth Commission! It is God!” I don’t think that is verbatim because I didn’t need as many words as are needed here. He is devoted to an evil cause and is being deceived by the evil genius of the world, who has no power over the Lord Jesus Christ! (John 14:30).
That’s the same thing that is happening to Christians in China now? I wonder if they are involved with this scheme. May the Lord give us wisdom in dealing with this development. (Oh and remind us to pray for those who are severe persecution in China and elsewhere.)
Where has the truth and reconciliation commission been during the fake impeachment of our President? Where was Robert Reich when Obama sent suitcases full of money to America’s muslim enemies without any sanction from our congress? Where was Mr. Reich when blm was tearing up innocent people’s properties? FATHER GOD please take care of ours and the President’s enemies as we pray that YOU Bless them according to YOUR WORD that tells us to Bless them that persecute us as Mr. Reich attempts to be trying to do to our President in JESUS Name!
Why don’t they set up truth panels for VP Biden and Senator Kamala Harris. Lord, we bind this double standard in Jesus’s Name and loose a spirit of truth and justice.
That is a socialists communist agendas under the democracy embrace..we pray that the American people become the American by standing for America and your families rights of speech and right to worship God and bear arms and the constitution. For whom the LORD JESUS YESHUA sets free is free indeed. That these democrat-socialist party and their leaders to global mandate chains of anti-American and antisemitism which enslave us to the slavery block of globalization groups taking away what you hold most dear the American dream of a United States a republic for which it stands one nation under GOD indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Not a socialists communist station bringing doom and gloom to one part of the melting pot of cultures and opportunities to prosper in the coat of many colors house of bread which is America. GOD OF HEAVEN BLESS AMERICA and restore her people to righteousness.
Father in Heaven, I pray that the holy spirit will bring forth the truth to those blinded by the painful and hurtful lies against our president, Donald J Trump. Father in your son’s name, the Christ who is the truth , the way and the life, I pray for those who are blinded and deaf to the truth, be awaken by the blood of Jesus. In Christ name I pray, Amen.
We pray for God’s truth and justice to expose the lies and hatefulness of those who speak and act against President Trump. Hold them accountable for their deceptive ways. Judge them for leading others astray.
