Could there be a group of people more excited about the Asbury Revival than the faithful intercessors who have prayed for decades this would happen? Well, there just may be one distinct group who are even more excited: The intercessors who were part of the original 1970 Asbury Revival.

I was in chapel on Feb 3, 1970, and pretty much lived in Hughes [Chapel] for the next eight days of glory! As an intercessor, I knew we must shepherd this movement on our knees. ~ Carol McClain Bassett, IFApray.org commenter

Here at Intercessors for America, we have been deeply moved by the comments posted in response to the articles and videos we are publishing.  The testimonies of revival are flooding the website and our hearts like a tsunami of kingdom power:

I was also a student at Asbury when the 1970 revival started. I was one of the several students that prayed with Jeannine Brabon every morning before chapel in the basement of Hughes. . . . the revival started on my sister’s 19th birthday, February 3, 1970. My parents and grandma all came from Florida to help celebrate my sister’s birthday. We didn’t do anything but stay in Hughes and worship together as a family. It was wonderful. We have never been the same since. ~ Linda McDonald, IFApray.org commenter

Even more astounding, we are learning how these young Asbury revivalists quickly traveled to other colleges to share the testimony of what the Lord had done:

In Feb of 1970, I was an unsaved student at Seattle Pacific College in Seattle. A couple of students came from Asbury to speak in my dorm about what they had been experiencing at Asbury. I had to have the love they did for Jesus, so I immediately left my seat and went forward to receive Jesus. ~ Steve Hall, IFApray.org commenter

For those whose lives were eternally transformed during the 1970 Asbury outpouring, how immensely rewarding to watch your children and grandchildren behold what you have testified about for all these years.

Behold the power of testimony!

The Hebrew word used in scripture for testimony can be translated as; Do it again. One of the reasons the Bible urges believers to always proclaim what The Lord has done is; when heaven hears a testimony, it becomes an invitation for The Lord to do it again.

Further, the New Testament teaches: Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy (Rev. 19:10).

When we speak a testimony of what Jesus has done in the past, mysteriously the spirit of prophecy is engaged. Prophecy can transform a present circumstance through strengthening, encouragement, and comfort (1 Cor. 14:3). But prophecy is also future predictive, which means the declaration of what the Lord has done can birth the same miracle to happen again in the future.

When our intercessors season their prayers with the testimonies of past revivals, brace yourself — heaven is piqued and rushes to earth to spark new revivals.

The Jesus Freaks of the Jesus Movement are now our beloved elders serving in places of honor. But in 1970, they were the students and hippies being saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. Sounds precisely like what has been happening over these past nine days.

My born-again experience happened in 1978. Even though it was the tail end of the Jesus Movement, the waves of living water were still breaking over the levees. To this day, I’ve never experienced a community of people who loved Jesus so much.

I talked to one of my best friends yesterday who was part of that same church community in 1978. He said:

Every time I look at what’s happening in Asbury, I start to cry. It feels just like it did back in ’78.

I could not have said it better myself. All of the commenters and converts from the 60s and 70s are sensing the same thing.

I was 30 years old in 1970 and was definitely impacted by that revival. I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with my prayer language and have never been the same! I will be 80 in one month and have been praying for another outpouring of His Spirit ever since. I witness this KY Asbury is another time God is moving and plans to include the whole earth this time. SO EXCITED. ~ Carolyn Dowdy, IFApray.org commenter

There is a scene from the movie Independence Day where the President learns his intelligence community had hidden a recovered alien spacecraft for over 40 years. Dr. Okun explains the ship was incapable of doing anything.  But, once the mothership came closer to earth, the spaceship’s systems all came to life: “See, we can’t duplicate their type of power so we’ve never been able to experiment. But since these guys started showing up, all the gizmos inside turned on. The last twenty-four hours have been really exciting!”

How many decades have our intercessors felt that no matter how hard they prayed, the power of revival remained elusive? And how many churches that genuinely hoped for revival wondered why they couldn’t experience the power they knew was available?

No one can duplicate the power of God apart from the Spirit of God.

Today, right now, heaven has come closer to earth. And as the currents of revival flow through the power grids of the kingdom in Kentucky and beyond, all those who have been crying out in sincere desperation are watching all the gizmos inside turn on again.

I was saved as a 17-year-old senior in high school in Lexington, KY during the 1970 Asbury revival. I am so excited to see the Holy Spirit moving so powerfully again on that campus and beyond. Come Holy Spirit! ~ Daniel Mingo, IFApray.org commenter

Indeed!  Come Holy Spirit!  Do it again!

Please continue to share your testimonies below in the Comments section.  You are helping to fan the flames of revival!

I was saved in 1974 when the revival fires had spread across the nation and I’ve never been the same since. I’ve been playing for revival lately, ever since the election and I’m not giving up. The fires of revival are burning and spreading and no one can stop them. God is sovereign and he will do it.

I was saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit in 1974 also. I have not been the same since. Prayers for the USA and Revival fires to come to every major city and college in our land. Lord Jesus, please hear our prayers. Amen

Thank you everyone who has responded here! I am in tears reading your testimonies. We are living in an era of a new revival and the scriptures are being fulfilled.

Adonai is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh and, blessed are those who have hungered and thirsted . . . For they are being filled.

While Holy Spirit is being poured out upon all, not all will be filled. So when people dismiss and discredit your testimony, don’t cast your precious pearl. Cherish it. Hold it close. And wait for the next opportunity to reveal it.

I also am deeply moved how many here plainly differentiate your salvation experience from the Baptism in the Spirit. This is a kingdom reality our modern church has lost. So keep testifying!

Acts 8: “Now when the apostles at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John, who came down and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit, for He had not yet fallen on any of them, but they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit

I was a 23 year old student at College of the Redwoods in the fall of 1973. A Vietnam vet, I gravitated more towards other Vvet students who were also there trying, as I was, to keep a low profile. In one of my classes was Tracy, a smart guy that didn’t seem to have the jaded outlook that most of us had picked up in the Muddy Country. While in Vietnam, Tracy had witnessed a miracle that changed his life forever. An advanced stages heroin addict that he knew, had been delivered of the addiction with no withdrawal torture when he called out to Jesus Christ to save him. Tracy began to share the gospel with me….one verse at a time from his little New Testament at the door of our 8 O’clock classroom 3 mornings each week. Eventually, I began to look forward to seeing what the verse of the day would be. I was a sinner whose heart was being awakened by the Holy Spirit.
Also during this time, my soul was being pursued by the enemy, Satan. I had found deep interest in searching out the paranormal. I read the books by and about Edgar Cayce, everything I could find on Russian experiments with what they called ectoplasm, supposedly a fourth state of matter, and lots more. I was feeling more and more confident that I was ready to experience astral travel and project my consciousness away from my body and into the universe.
I remember walking home to Field’s Landing one evening from campus. I had all of this dilemma rolling around in my soul. I knew that the gospel did not mesh with all of the other paths that seemed to be set before me. I knew also that I could make a choice but that the truth of the universe would be unaffected by my choice. My frustration launched itself from my mouth as I heard my own words: Well, which is it?

There was a big moon and it lit up something very small at my feet. It was only then that I realized I had stopped walking. I picked up a small porcelain baby Jesus that must have come from the manger of a nativity scene. The next word out of my mouth was, oooh! The God of the universe had just answered the biggest question in my life. The next morning I was headed for class when the conviction of the Holy Spirit became so intense that I just couldn’t go. I could not do another thing until I did the most important one. I walked to the far side of the lake to find privacy and there I got on my knees and asked forgiveness for every sin I could think of and also for the ones that I couldn’t think of. When I got back on my feet, something was extremely different. The WEIGHT of my sin was gone. The blood of my Savior, Jesus, had washed my sins away. I didn’t know that weight was even there, until it was gone. I was free like never before. Still am because it doesn’t go away. Tracy, if you see this, give me a reply. Rob.

In the mid ’70’s I had lived with constant pain about three years when a lady ask to lay hands on me. I got healed! The next day I got baptised in the Holy Spirit. I wanted to know about this God who healed, so I ask for the Holy Spirit . I had been saved at thirteen but was never taught about the Holy Spirit. He has been walking me through heart healing from the wounds of childhood abuse ever since. He brings power, peace, and joy to my ever day life. Praise God for this move and all those He is sending!

I LOVE how your testimony and so many others in this thread differentiate between the salvation experience and the baptism in the Holy Spirit. This is a biblical reality the modern church has lost. May all of us who experienced this continue to testify!

I was 35 in 1975 when I was propelled by the Holy Spirit to be Baptized. The joy I felt during that time was shared by my Sister who lived in another State but had also been Revived. I can still remember how vividly God’s presence was felt. He still shines to this day.

I was 20 years old in 1974 and suddenly life came to life! A community of believers came to life! We became one as we walked and talked Jesus. University students, youth, adults and older adults all walking and talking Jesus. I have never known anything like it. I see God moving among the youth and I have hope again.

This is what God gave me for our city. BUT He’s not speaking to just Erie. God is looking for places to rest . . . to lay His head. I don’t know why He says: “rest” when He wants to explode in America. Maybe it’s the way He enters. He comes in a whisper . . . gentle, soft, and sweet. (I Kings 19:12)

GOD WANTS TO REST IN ERIE

As I listened to Give Him 15 (https://www.givehim15.com/post/february-17-2023), this morning, I was overwhelmed with God’s presence. . . with His Goodness. There are no words to describe God when He enters the room.

As Isaiah I say: “I am a man (well woman) of unclean lips.” Peter said. “Go away from me Lord, I am a sinful man.” In the Presence of God, we see His Greatness and experience our limited humanity. But, we cannot be in God’s glory and not be changed.

Isaiah said, “Woe is me, for I am ruined, I am a man of unclean lips dwelling among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Hosts, the Lord Almighty.” Isaiah 6:5
In His presence God “wrecks” us. We are ruined forever. He changes us and we are never the same.

God wants to rest in Erie and, we Must be ready for Him. I am overwhelmed with expectation and anticipation of God’s manifest presence in our beautiful Erie. When I heard the prophetic words of Tim Sheets, My spirit connected with God’s Word. His presence overwhelmed me. I know His Word is true.

Tim said. “I saw hundreds of Ekklesia hubs becoming like spiritual volcanoes, erupting in their regions with great power.” Then, God spoke and said: “The new era I have planned will now be established in supernatural displays of My dunamis.” Tim said the word means, “I am now going to RELEASE supernatural displays of My power and energy. It is time for the volcanic hubs of My Ekklesia to erupt in great power. What has been boiling underground will erupt.”

This past Monday I was overcome with God’s goodness. I basked in His presence for hours. I have experienced His presence in the past but this was different. I describe it as a sweetness . . . an overwhelming love.

Then, in the stillness of His presence, God said, “America is going to explode in the Glory of God.”

I believe Erie will be one of those “volcanic hubs” that will erupt and explode with God’s glory. Erie will be know for Revival . . . known as the place where God rested.

God wants to rest in Erie. God wants a place to lay His head. He wants to manifest His glory. He wants to meet us face to face.

Can we handle it? Are we prepared to handle it? Will we be open to it? I believe the answer is: “Yes, Yes, Yes.” How can we not be ready. Can we say, “No” to God . . . do we want to? Those hungry for God will steward it. . . they must . . . they will.

Get ready. His Dunamis Power is going to explode. If you haven’t “experienced” it yet just know He’s waiting for you to say, “Yes.” Open your heart to receive Him. He wants to lay His head on your breast and speak tenderly to You.

“I was one way and now I am completely different–and the thing that happened in between was HIM!”
(Mary Magdalene in The Chosen). Jesus is manifesting Himself to our world in revivals through Asbury University as well as through the Chosen, a unique but solidly Biblically-grounded TV series which just completed its third season.

The Chosen brings out Jesus’s humanity as well as His deity, in ways no other movie has done. In a holy moment with His Father, Jesus changes water into wine–and afterwards joins in pleasantries and dancing with the wedding guests. Every episode is previewed and okayed by Evangelical, Catholic and Jewish theologians and stays true to Scripture, as far as what is provided for us in the text. But the development of each disciple’s character or of the people affected by Jesus’ miracles is based on “plausible speculation.” Director and writer Dallas Jenkins says “We explore the white space between the verses.”

Crowd-funding by enthusiastic fans permits millions around the world to see episodes free and in many of their own languages. Their responses, from people of all ages and cultures, share with raw emotion intimate glimpses into broken and healed lives like that of Mary Magdalene, who “was one way and [is] now completely different–because of HIM!”

Yes, I remember when The revivals hit our church, I was astonished at what God could promote, I knew it was God without being told. I was a proud young mom, from a Baptist background, but God did not seem to care he was on a mission. The revival hit our church we had started attending after we had been married about (7) years. A Revival hit and I had to attend every night as I was in the choir, The revival lasted about 3 weeks, this is where I learned about Satans demons and how they could attach themselves to people inside of their bodies. What a lesson it sent me on doing many researches since then. Also I was prayed for received The Baptism in the Holy Spirt, with evidence speaking in tongues, was slain in the spirit and on top of that God hit me with laughter – that took a while to stop. When God is on a Mission He does not stop until He accomplishes His mission. Thursday night I watched Flash Point and Wow it was a reminder of earlier years. The Flash Point and his regulars he has on FP Live each week were in Pensacola, Florida Where the Brownsville Revival hit in 1995. The Truth Freedom Tour was set to be there two days teaching Civics, and Constitutional laws and Minister to the people. The place was packed, it was powerful many were saved, But Friday night was all about God. Gene B. Introduced his panel, then he wanted to prove a point he had the Director Of Music at EMC, to explain what was important about Heritage. David told about how important it was to listen to music and praise the Lord, he said it was not all about singing, but just the sound of music can be used to change things. As David did when He played the harp to the King. The praise songs were picked by David, after the first song hands were being lifted up, the songs and just music were played on the piano. It has been a long time to see hundreds of men lifting hands praising the Lord. There was over 2,000 in the Brownsville church- instead of a evening of teaching; it turned Asbury Revival to hit Brownsville Church. More people came forward for Salvation, Tony S. Came forward with Habakkuk 2- “The Lord’s Answer
2 Then the Lord replied:
“Write down the revelation
and make it plain on tablets
so that a herald[a] may run with it.
3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time;
it speaks of the end
and will not prove false.
Though it linger, wait for it;
it[b] will certainly come
and will not delay.” The prayer was a revelation of awaits and appointed time. (Gods timing) God says wait for it, though it lingers, it certainly will come”
I started worshiping God and praising Him in my Great Room. As Habakkuk was getting frustrated God advised Him! But Gods answer to Habakkuk was and is the same answers He is giving us: “ Be patient I will work out My plans in My perfect timing” I know hundreds of prayers has went forth and I know they are being fulfilled. God wants us to trust Him. Friday night was like turning on a faucet of running water, Gods spirit Got turned on, Gene called two women from the audience to pray because He felt a Esther Spirit coming-he requested them to go out in the audience and pray for the women, many were slain in the Spirit, many United back with Jesus it was powerful, Then The The Holy Spirit touched Tony S. then Hank, they both were slain in Gods spirit. That’s not all then Hank called out and pointed to several ones who were having Medical problems; Hank called out exactly what the problem was, they were healed and they will be confirmed. . It was a Part of the Asbury Revival, Gene Bailey was not told by God of the Asbury Revival he had planned for the Students. Gene had these dates of the Tour on the Calendar many weeks before Asbury. God Thank you for your exact timing. There was so much to write about as I prayed-I cannot get it all said, as I want to make sure it is all true facts about Gods movements. What happened Thursday and Friday nights was almost like the Revival I was in back in the Late 70,s. God I stand in awe of your fame and timing of these Great Awakenings. C. 3 Habakkuk prayed : He stood in awe of God’s deed. “He said Repeat them in our day, In our time, make them known; in wrath remember Mercy. “ God still discipline’s in Love to bring His children back. God I know and feel your presence today as I read Habakkuk, because I felt what was happening in Asbury is what happened in Brownsville Church the 16, 17 of February 2023. As I studied I learned Habakkuk was to be sung as a psalm in temple worship. God thank you for all you do, thank you as it draws us back into your presence. God is alive and in control and we cannot see all He is doing. We hold faith and assurance that he is God and He knows what He is doing. Jesus I ask in your name keep the fires going at Asbury, I take Authority over and any hindrance that may try to stop this Miracle of Gods. I pray for strength, love, and Gods Wisdom, as they learn to obey, will be the tools to thwart the enemy. I pray they will be great warriors for Gods Kingdom. Be blessed I am.

The spiritual move at Asbury is as a great warm blanket of security, compassion, and love wraps around every one who enters. The calm is spread across the park like lawn and people wait their opportunity to enter in. Everyone coming forth is of an individual knowing that they were singled out for exactly the ministry they needed. Tens, Twenties, more, gradually being down front. Or in a row elsewhere. And in a crowd of hundreds each receives perfect personal, needs meeting, ministry direct from the Lord. . They come away with an awe of the depth of love encountered, and the supreme privacy iof that ministration. Astounded they are that everyone seeking is receiving individually while encased in a crowd of hundreds..
Car loads, vans, college busses, arrive with those who seek perhaps just to see. And when they depart a bit of the fire is kindled within them, And they carry it far and wide. Good News.

The Lord saved me in 1970. I believe it was from the ripple effects of the Revival that was going out far and wide across this nation. What a treasure it has been to know and walk with the Lord Jesus all these past 52 years! Our little prayer group in Shelbyville KY has been praying for revival and young people to experience the Treasure we have. I give thanks to our gracious and wonderful Lord.

We are survivors, saved by God from a from generational substance abuse, violent on occasion, upper low income.
Two sisters murdered one as an infant and the other in her 50s.
I must admit my substance and absolutely lost with no idea what normal looked like. Had it not been for our oldest sister from another Mr we would still be lost.
I met Jesus in a little church on the edge of town. He spoke to me there. When I got home my dad was mad 😠 and so began my roller coaster spirit life. Many chapters in my part of HIStory and the only thing that has remained is Jesus.
My Prayer: Thank You Jesus!!! Thank you for loving us enough to never give up on us. Thank You My Lord.

I’m always looking for keys that open the “doors” of heaven. Last Sunday a lady is testifying at Hughes Hall at Asburyt . She and her husband lived in Malaysia. They were terribly burdened for America. He had a very lucrative job as a college professor. He quit his job, moving he and his wife to Wilmore Ky to be a full time intercessor for revival in America. I could not hear if they even knew about Asbury or its history.

Does anyone remember Melodyland in Orange County California? I was born again there at age 18 in 1972. After growing up in church I finally understood what Jesus & being saved by grace was all about.. not that of ourselves that no one can boast. We are sinners in need of a savior no matter how good we think we are.

Yes, Lynn, I remember Melodyland. I was a student there at Melodyland School of Theology in 1976/77. I saw many saved there and glad to know that you are one. Many were sent out from there by God to minister. It was a special time of revival and this time, right now, I believe will be much greater. There are so many believers whose paths have crossed as we have responded to Holy Spirit’s leading. There are NO coincidences in the Kingdom! Imagine the reunion in heaven! Bless you, Rob.

I was saved somewhere around March 20, 1970. I didn’t know anything about the revival that had happened at Asbury. I was in Rhode Island. I happened to notice an advertisement in a local paper that Revival Services were happening. So I decided maybe I would check it out.
I was in the U.S. Naval Seabees at the time. I would drive around, go to a few bars, but I wasn’t enjoying that very much. So that evening I drove to the address, unimposing building with only about three cars there. It was a wonder I even went in. I visited that night, and a couple other nights that week. On Saturday night
I went to the altar, I prayed, but didn’t really experience anything.
I smoked at the time, the preacher had tapped the cigarettes in my pocket and suggested that I needed to give those up. The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and I shouldn’t desecrate the temple. By the time I got to my apartment I was needing a cigarette pretty bad. I knelt down by my bed and asked the Lord, “What about giving these cigarettes up?” I heard a verbal voice, “Reverend Harvey has given you your answer, give those up and follow me.” I turned and looked around the room, who had said that? I decided it was the Lord.
I did start giving them up, it took a month of constant physical craving to finally get through the worst of the craving. As I followed Jesus, obeying step by step, the sky was bluer, the trees greener, the air fresher.
There were about 10 people that had gotten saved in that revival. So, God was working in more places that just Asbury. I’m thankful for that.
I’m thrilled to hear of God’s moving at Asbury here in 2023. I’m praying that the revival at Asbury will spread all over the nation.

My husband and I were both saved during an evangelistic service in November of 1968. We were “dating” at the time and I encouraged him to come since it was happening every night for 7 nights and we could sit next to each other every night! Being 15 this was an incentive, and it was for him as well since he was Roman Catholic, but this was being held at a Presbyterian Church where I attended. During that week many, including my mother and the two of us, came to know the Lord as our Savior. Then in about 1972 there were 6 young men from our congregation including my to be husband who decided to attend a Christian college and go on to seminary to become pastors. That has never happened before or after at that church. We see this time as being part of a revival that was happening in Baltimore, MD at that time period.

In 1972 after 35 years of feeling unloved, rejected, not valued, I received Jesus and the Baptism of Holy Spirit in one session with Jesus. The Bill and Gloria Gaither song, “He Touched Me” is my story. “Shackled by a heavy burden, neath the load of guilt.t and shame, then the hand of Jesus touched me, and now I am no longer the same”. Two years later my wife and three daughters became born again and Spirit baptized. There are no words to describe the liquid love that engulfed us. Now after 50 years, in our 80’s, we are still ministering healing and deliverance to God’s people. Thank you Jesus for the greatest event in our lives.

I am so praising Jesus for His outpouring of love, Holy Spirit presence, salvation, and move!! ♥️ I received Jesus as my Savior as a 17 year old senior in high school at a revival. I hadn’t heard of the Jesus movement or any other revivals until the last four years. (Except Billy Graham’s) I’ve been praying for revival ever since! All glory to Abba God! I’m praying IFA’s Revival prayer points over Asbury and all schools as I sense revival will break out in high schools, middle schools and elementary school throughout the US and the world! ♥️
Also, everyday I am praying, “Lord, where do you want to have revival in my life?!” Jesus, let us be ultra sensitive to your Spirit in praise, leading, repentance and prayer!!
Praise you, King Jesus!!

In June of 1968 several churches in Charlestown IN went together for a Lay Witness Mission. The people that came to share were from Asbury. That weekend 3/4 of our little Christian Church received Jesus. Including my husband Tom and I. The Lord took us from Tom being a small town basketball coach to a teaching ministry as far away as Australia, India, Germany, and Ecuador and pastored for 35 years. I know of at least 6 churches that are still thriving today that came out of that weekend. I recognize some of the names in media reports as being in Charlestown that weekend. To God be the Glory!! I’m from Charlestown, Indiana, as well. And I remember the Lay Ministry/Jesus Movement, Bonnie!
My first son was born in ‘68 so the movement happened after i graduated. But, one of the Lay Ministers was from our church, Pleasant Grove Methodist. He was a mentor to me in my Spiritual life. I then prayed, with my best friend, to receive Jesus in 1973. She became a believer as a direct result of the Lay Ministers Mission to bring the Message to Charlestown. Praise God and Hallelujah!! Lord, Jesus, bring the revival that this Nation so desperately needs!

We were juniors at Houghton College in New York in February of 1970 when Asbury students came and shared what was going on and our campus stopped classes and had extended chapels for several days. Now, our oldest grandchild, a granddaughter, is a freshman at Asbury and experiencing this revival. We are so excited to have her witness the work of the Holy Spirit and see how real Jesus is!!!

It’s thrilling this is happening again! I wouldn’t be a Christian, except for the charismatic renewal that took place in the early 70s in northern California. It was real and show the love and power of Jesus and our heavenly father. Every denomination was caught up, but especially the Catholic Church. No longer ritualistic, but the freedom to praise God and worship, and to feel his presence. Incredible!

In 1974 I was 35 Jesus came into the conference room where I was working alone on a system’s project at Caterpillar Teactor Company in Mossville, IL. I wasn’t a Jesus person, was not baptized, and was never a church member. However, I was married to my Cradle-Catholic wife for six years going to mass with her every Sunday. After this encounter I was being led by what I was later to know as the Holy Spirit and ended up at a Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship Int’l (FGBMFI) dinner meeting in East Peoria, IL and went forward to accept Jesus at the invitation. I later saw it as me going forward as a very sinful man with much baggage, stepping through an unseen Spiritual barrier from this Fallen World world run by Satan into the Kingdom of God.
When going home that night on I-74 to Morton, IL, all of the sudden God branded into my heart, soul, and mind that He was real, Jesus was real, His Word was real and I was to learn from His Word and that group that I’d never met before. Well I did and then embarked upon a life altering journey and my wife later found what I had found, and our new Life in Christ was great. Not a bed of roses as you do find that you have the same enemy Jesus had, as He mentioned in His Word, but you learn to deal with it with the help of the Holy Spirit and the Fellowship of your brothers and sisters in Christ.

To God be the Glory that He Saved a wreck like me!

I was saved in 1970 and part of the Jesus Revolution. I served in ministry for 30+years. I was hurt by church leaders and church people. I now attend church but just sit on the back row. I think there are a lot of “us”. May the Lord revive us.

Yes don’t let what people have done rob you of the joy of the Lord. I believe that satan has used these hurts and pain to immobilize God’s people. Rise up shake off the hurts and move forward. We need you

My revival started the day my wonderful husband of 65 years went to be with Jesus 11/14/22. I thought I would be devastated, but instead God filled me with His peace, love and joy, and He has continued filling me 24/7. I praise His awesome name!

Father God, please, through Holy Spirit, give the leadership teams of every Campus, extra energy… but especially wisdom to push through to REFORMATION! Let it not stop this time at people being revived, or coming to Salvation, but help us push through to a higher level in relationships with You, Our Triune God, and a renewal in thinking, understanding, what The Bride of Christ is and looks like.
Let us NEVER go back to where we have been.
In Yeshua’s Holy Name.
Yes and Amen!

Thankyou for all the revival testimonies! I am so excited about what is going on at Asbury and all over our country with the revival – I am an intercessor – this is an answer to prayer – I work with my youth group
and tell them what is happening with revival. Blessings to all of you for your great communicators at IFA.

My pastor and much of the congregation is lukewarm. We have upbeat songs that cater to our emotions, but the focus is seldom Jesus. It’s an AG church. Faith is spent on temporal things. Help! I’m in mourning.

Father! Please, in Your Precious Son’s Name, grant the leadership if this church repentance, (2 Tim 2:25), give them a DEEP hunger and thirst for something MORE and give them wisdom for when You show up in the Sunday morning service, to step back and let Holy Spirit have control. Cultivate the hearts of the congregation even NOW to WANT MORE OF YOU and help them RECEIVE what You so desperately want to pour into each and every one of them.
    In Yeshua’s Holy Name.
    Yes and Amen!

I resonate with your pain, Linda. I was recently looking for a church after a move to a different state. So many of the churches, I visited had “worship” that was focused on themselves, their needs, and what He could do for us, rather than on who He is, and honoring Him. I decided it was a sign of the times. But I ached to participate in true, God honoring corporate worship. At one point I decided, I would just wait until heaven, where we can worship Him for eternity. This is why I am so thrilled to hear about what is going on at Asbury, and to see the young people, worshiping Him in spirit, and in truth!

I was saved in 1972 at the age of 20. I was meeting Jesus people on the streets and in food camps. God used that to draw me to him they seemed very sincere and so I came to know Jesus in a Baptist church at that time I felt the drawing from the Lord . I have been serving the Lord ever since and a very committed Christian. I led my son and granddaughter to the Lord also.

Father, thank You so much for what You started in Asbury and has spread to 27+ other schools. Thank You that this is JUST THE BEGINNING!
I ask, Father, that You capture the hearts of each person…. not JUST the ones whose hearts have been hungry for MORE, but especially the hearts who don’t know You at all. I know of people in Wilmore, KY who have NO relationship with You at all, their minds don’t even go there, but in fact are resentful that their town has been disrupted… open their spiritual eyes and ears to see and hear Your Truth, if no other way than through the words and actions filled with LOVE of all who come.
We bind and rebuke and cast out any evil forces that are trying to hinder the unsaved from stepping into their destiny designed by You.
In Yeshua’s Holy Name. Yes and Amen.

I was born again 1976 and Spirit filled in 1978. All part of the Spirit of God moving through and beyond the Jesus Movement. Let this never stop and many not only to be saved, healed, delivered and set free but also to be discipled and to carry this to the nations!

I love that you distinguish the difference from being born again and being filled with the Spirit. That is a biblical model the church is fast losing. Yes, they can happen at the same time, but Azusa Street was centered on the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, which is where all the power is. Thank you!

I was saved during the Jesus Movement in 1972 in New York City. He rescued me from a life of drugs, alcohol, prostitution and a boatload of guilt. I wandered off His path for a time but His limitless love and forgiveness welcomed me back with open arms. Oh, that everyone could know the love of Jesus! Praying the revival spreads!

There is no redemption without remission of sins. The Word commands repentance and baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; plus receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38). Its being born of the water and the Spirit (John 3:5-8)
Need a type and shadow? Look no further than the Red Sea crossing:

The first passover slayed the firstborn of Egypt, which broke the bondage, giving hope where there was none. Israel made a joyous victorious departure…. but wait!.. God told Moses to turn away from the land route to the promised land, for the people were not able to take it, and would have turned back to Egypt.

He sent them to the Red Sea, where “they were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea” (1 Cor. 10:1, 2). It was at the Red Sea that the curse of Egypt was removed from ALL that went through it.

Peter, using the account of the flood washing away a sinful world, said “the like figure, whereunto even baptism doth also now save us… ” (1Peter 3:21). This is not legalism, for using the type and shadow of the Red Sea, even the Israelites were not given the Law until after that great deliverance.

To declare remission of sins without baptism, is like declaring Israel being saved from Egypt without crossing the Rea Sea.

Jesus Christ’s words in Mark 16:16 are in harmony with all the baptism types and shadows.

Obey Acts 2:38 to be born again the Bible way!

I’d grown up in church so I knew the Bible stories, but never heard that I could have a personal relationship with the Lord until I was in college at K-State in 1973. I was invited to a fellowship group where I heard for the first time Tongues & Interpretation. I was baptized in the Holy Spirit that weekend, and as I prayed out loud in my dorm room the next week, I got my Holy Spirit prayer language.🙌🕊 I’ve never been the same.

I am so thrilled that revival is happening in Asbury, Tennessee, and in Egypt. Jesus promised that in the last days(we are there now) he would pour out the Holy Spirit upon ALL flesh. I am so hopeful that a Great Awakening will come to pass in this nation, and the entire world. We so need a fresh manifestation of Holy Spirit today! Thank You, Jesus, for what is happening in various revivals throughout the world. May the spirit of revival spread like wildfire. May lives be changed by this tremendous outpouring of Holy Spirit. Thank You, Jesus.

I was raised in a wonderful Christian home but remember sitting in church as a teen thinking “there has to be more than this that Jesus has for us”. Going to a Christian college I did not find “it”, in early 70s my husband & I heard Lonnie & Chuck Smith from Calvary Chapel CM talking @ Fashion Island Newport Beach…we went then to Pastor Chuck’s church & the Word so came alive & we have been forever grateful! Now a generation is seeking His truth, His fullness wanting more & how grateful we are to God for what He is doing. I feel He is gleening the fields in these last hours…God bless them all & may more come to know the fullness of life Jesus has for each one! Maranatha 🙏

Lord please pour out Your Spirit upon all flesh. May everyone on Earth learn about You and Your mercy, love and grace. May all believers at least reach one other person with the gospel of repentance. May You Lord step into the lives of many people and call them to You. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

I was part of the Jesus movement of the 70’s. I was a senior in high school when the winds of revival swept through Washington state where I was living. Although I was raised going to church this was the first time I knew Jesus was really relevant to my life, that He loved me, that He had died for me, that I was forgiven, that He would never leave me. I remember the hippies throwing away their drugs and syringes and getting high on Jesus instead. I remember the awesome peace I felt for the first time in my life, witnessing on the streets as a new born child of God. The Holy Spirt of God has never left me. He has been faithful. I am watching and listening to this revival at Asbury, the hair is standing up on my arms and neck. I feel the electric charge of His presence as I watch and listen and tears are rolling down my cheeks. Praise God, Praise God, Praise God!

It is so encouraging to hear about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Asbury and other campus’s as well.
I came to know God’s love personally after praying with Arthur Blessit at the Minnespolis Auditorium in the fall of 1969. Paul Stookey from Peter, Paul, and Mary was there leading the music. A week or so later I was at a West Bank Coffee House and the Spirit went through us like a bolt of electricity when a person said God reveals himself in many ways through many different people and they are all valid. Everyone in the room experienced it. Within a year or two, people in Intervarsity Christian Fellowship were hearing about the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit and praying in tongues. I prayed with friends and received the Baptism and speaking in tongues as well. We were also active in witnessing on campus.
In 1973 my wife and I became involved in a Christian Community called Servants of the Light. They held public prayer meetings centered on worship where the gifts of the Spirit were manifest. I remember one non-public gathering where some of us were doing cartwheels because of the overwhelming joy of the Lord. We attended many conferences that were held in auditoriums and stadiums. The Lutheran Conference on the Holy Spirit was held in Minneapolis for a number of years. We attended and served at Catholic Charismatic Renewal gatherings in the Notre Dame football stadium. There was a Conference on the Holy Spirit at the football stadium in Kansas City in 1977 which brought together the various streams of God’s people, Catholic, Lutheran, and non-denominational. It was a time of amazing unity and worship.
I heard about IFA around that time under John Becket’s leadership and received their newsletter, always a refreshing and encouraging read.
Praise God for the outpouring of his Spirit! Come Lord Jesus come! The Spirit and the Bride say come!
