I Prayed have prayed
God, we pray that Your holy revival fire would sweep across the nation. Bring every individual in America to You, Father, so that shootings like the one in Nashville will never happen again.

In times of great tragedy and turmoil, we have to remember that our help comes from the Lord, not from the government.

From Fox News. Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., said the school shooting in Nashville was “horrendous,” but he does not think there’s a role for Congress to play, and he resents that the tragedy has been politicized.

Speaking briefly with reporters on Tuesday, Burchett, who represents the Knoxville area but says he lived in Nashville before, said Monday’s shooting was a “horrible situation,” and added that lawmakers in Washington, D.C., are “not going to fix it.” He criticized those on the right and left who are politicizing the tragedy over the shooter’s gender identity or guns, respectively.

“Criminals are going to be criminals,” Burchett said. …

“And we’ve got a mental health issue in this country,” he continued. “We need to start addressing it.” …

Asked how Congress should respond to the tragedy, Burchett said that lawmakers would only “mess things up.” …

Instead of attempting a legislative solution, Burchett, a Christian, said, “I think we really need to revive up in this country. I think our ministers and our communities of faith need to come together and start preaching about love from the Bible.” …

Yes, it is up to The Church! We, you and I are The Church. We must humble ourselves, seek forgiveness on behalf of our country and pray then God will heal our land! If we keep pointing our fingers at our pastors/church leaders, we will not see God move.
Father God, I come humbly to your throne of grace and mercy. Forgive me for pointing fingers at everyone else expecting them to do something. Bring Your people to our knees so you might heal our land. Give peace and comfort to all those who lost a loved one in this tragedy. Help us to love one another and seek Your face. Thank you for your great love for us and for Your patience. We love you Father. I’m Jesus’ Mighty name! Amen.

I think Mr. Burkett is correct. It is past due. Faith communities must unite and come into agreement and regain the narrative that they are essential and foundational to providing the safest alternative good in society. Major upheavals tend to run in tandem with revival, revolution and transformation.
See Rev. Eddie Hyatt’s book, America’s Revival Heritage and other books by David Barton. That laws cannot legislate the heart, feelings, mind and emotions of mankind. is demonstrated on a regular basis, in behaviors of violence as road rage, domestic abuse and addictions. Mental health attempts to bring peace to the ongoing conspiracy of conflicted souls. Which, more than likely, should be handled in the spiritual realm of faith communities.
Laws set limits or constraints on outward behaviors that result from inner turmoil. Inner strife, contention reflected in bad behavior, can only be sorted out in atmospheres where the spirit of revival can thrive regularly.

Excellent comments and insights and understanding from Representatve Burchett!!! Excellent IFA interview today with Cheryl Sacks and her book, Fire on the Family Altar, starting movement of family prayers so our homes become centers for revival that spreads within our churches and communities/workplaces/schools, wherever we are, because God is with us and He is for us, and He is greater than anything and everything and this has been His plan for us from the beginning, that we would be with Him, filled to overflowing with love for Him as we know Him, trust and obey Him, walk with Him, sharing His love with others all around us!!! He is starting a fire of fervent love in us and it is to spread everywhere!!! Hallelujah, He is doing it as only He can do!!!

Dear LORD, we come before Your throne with thanksgiving and praise, lifting our petitions to You. We have become a nation of many words and utterances, no matter the situation. Vast amounts of resources paid for such (i.e. broadcasters, TV and radio hosts, attorneys, professors, self-described experts, authors and politicians, etc.). Jesus said in Mark 4:39 to the storm “Peace! Be still.” (ESV), three powerful, effectual words. Teach us LORD to recognize Your prompting, learn from Your word and follow our Shepherd’s example. Let us be hearers and doers of the word. In Jesus’ name, amen.

We need more in government like him, we need to turn to God, repent of our sins as a whole, once again one. Nation under God. We need to consult our Lord, pray for forgiveness. We have been continually trying to remove God and do on our own, see where that’s getting us? Allow God back into our government, our schools, even our churches have to stand for Jesus, May God give us his peace. amen

It is Jesus we need to accept and to recognize that our God who created the universe and also each of us as individuals is the savior of the world. If we give God the thrown of our decisions and we submit it HIS will, and that is clearly outlined in the Bible, we will have a revival and hatred will true to sweet aroma.

I believe Rep. Burchett is correct. Our help comes from God. Churches have been avoiding the difficult issues fearing that truth will hurt their attendance and bottom line. In fact , people are crying out for truth preached with love. That’s what Jesus does!
