I Prayed have prayed
Father, we ask You to protect our power grid. Open our leaders' eyes to the vulnerabilities in our grid and show them how to fix them.
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Just two weeks ago, a devastating winter storm left many in the United States without power. And, according to a grid watchdog group, the blackouts are likely to continue for as long as our grid relies on wind and solar power.

Let the IFA community know how to pray for you.

From Just the News:

“The overall resource adequacy outlook for the North American BPS is worsening: In the 2025 LTRA [long-term reliability assessment], NERC finds that 13 of 23 assessment areas face resource adequacy challenges over the next 10 years,” the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) report states.

During January’s Winter Storm Fern, many parts of the U.S. grid neared the point where demand exceeded supply. If the grid continues to shut down fossil-fuel generation and tries to meet demand with intermittent wind and solar, according to NERC, more Americans will face blackouts when demand is high.

As electricity demand grows, including data centers, the nation’s grid is relying on intermittent wind and solar resources to meet that growing demand, NERC explains, while plants running on reliable coal and natural gas are slated for retirement over the next five years. “The continuing shift in the resource mix toward weather-dependent resources and less fuel diversity increases risks of supply shortfalls during winter months,” NERC warns.

According to NERC’s 2026 assessment, half of our nation’s power grid will be at risk of blackouts in 2030. According to Isaac Orr, vice president of research for Always On Energy Research, this is due in large part to the shutting down of “reliable power plants, including those powered by coal. Many of our leaders, including those in the past administration, have campaigned for fossil fuel-powered plants to be shut down in a bid to protect the environment, leaving communities with less reliable and less potent renewable energy.

According to Just the News, the shortcomings of this push for renewable energy were demonstrated clearly by the winter storm in late January. Apparently, states in New England, facing power shortages and blackouts, decided to use coal-based power in order to keep the lights on in their cities.

As our culture and society continue to demand more and more power, let’s ask God to protect our grid, and let’s pray for wisdom for our leaders as they consider both fossil fuels and renewable energy.

Father, none of this catches you by surprise, and we know that you have the solution, namely this nation turning its heart back to you. As we do, our prayers will be answered. I pray that the people of the world will bow “the knee” to you and give their hearts to you in total surrender. Then many changes will happen for the better.

I’m praying that the government realizes that the wind farms are using too much electricity to exist, and are costing more than it’s worth early enough to protect the grid.

I have NEVER been a fan of the solar panels or the windmills. the solar panels in the large swaths of acres create high heat that kills the birds who do not know that they should avoid that whole region and fly far away from that stuff. and the birds that get sucked into the pull of those awful windmills don’t know how to avoid that pull either so either of those forms of “energy” do not do anything but drain the American people of millions and millions of dollars.
God bless some folks who can fight for oil and gas and lots of it. and keeping the dams that generate the power that turns the turbines.

Father, we praise You for Your power covering our power in the US. We praise You for Your Holy Spirit’s energy exceeding our energy needs. We bless You for our ‘grid’ being subject to Your Greatness.
In Jesus Name

In the authority of Jesus Christ we bind the spirits that are trying to cripple our energy here in America. We pray along with other intercessors that 2 can put a thousand to flight how many more if millions of people pray in faith. Let faith arise. And our enemies scatter. In Jesus’ name.

I live in one of the affected areas. All customers received a notice about four days into the arctic vortex that we needed to cut back on our power usage because the grid was endangered. This after our state government passed a mandate to stop investing in oil/coal/gas powered plants and ONLY invest in green energy going forward. Our county just completed a HUGE solar farm (over 400 acres) and between it and two others, they provide about 5% of our electricity, Please pray that our leadership come to their senses and start investing in more reliable power sources!

It’s a vexation when I read here or anywhere else when believers don’t understand that all the moves “they’ve” made to change (very obviously for worse) the way we (USA) have done things in the past- that’s they are motivated by the desire to completely destroy this nation. WE stand in the way- this nation, its constitution, founded on a biblical foundation, etc. We need to first understand those things BEFORE we can pray from an appropriate perspective. Beyond that, it is satan straight up.
He is the ROOT enemy who merely uses flesh and blood to do his bidding.
His plan would be this if it were to succeed. The United States of America would indeed be removed as a sovereign and powerful nation. Then satan would go after those who had been on his side, to destroy them. Because he is out to destroy anything that is in the image of God, whether they are on his side or not.

Thankfully, because of our God and his stated plan, this scenario will never take place.

Ironic how the past administrations pushed for ‘Green Energy’ and realizing it cannot sustain power in storm conditions. But of course they will pursue it until they live in an area of ‘green energy’ and loses their power.

They probably have generators which require fuel to keep them operating but will not allow us to use them. “Rules for thee but not for me” is their motto!

The 1st people to cut electricity to are those pushing to shut down fossil fuel power plants with no solution to provide energy to our growing population. They have been indoctrinated into the lies of satan or are seeking more control over we the people. They also want 0 or negative population growth which is in direct conflict with God’s command to populate and care for His creation. These solar and wind have hazardous waste associated with them and they take farm ground out of production and cut down thousands of acres of trees. The trees that are a big part of cleansing our air. Lastly God is in charge those narrowed minded people who think they have power over our planet need to seek God’s forgiveness and repent of their sins. I trust in God. 🙏😇🙏❤️

I heard that in communist countries they used to turn off electricity at night to conserve power which meant no heat. I bet the party members didn’t do without power or heat but they expect the peasants to!

Nuclear power is the greenest energy we have, outpowering solar, wind, etc. It has been highly politicized, much of it isn’t true. When you get the bottom line facts, it turns out that nuclear power is more green than wind and solar because of the processes used to make those power sources.

I’ve been saying this for years and I will say it again. Build new nuclear power plants that produce clean energy.

Renewable sources of energy will work when they will. Sadly, we HAVE to have power from coal and hydrocarbons because they can operate at all times. Do you want your power to always be on? Do you want your water to always be available through pumping? Then you will HAVE to have power from coal and hydrocarbons.

green energy is a joke right along with the man-made global warming hoax that has been sold for 50+ yrs ( the old saying goes if you tell a lie long enough people will believe it) don’t buy it we are NOT going to destroy God’s planet , he will as the bible says

I’ve known this as a fact since the early 70s. The global elites decided to use the environment as a way of controlling the planet. At that time I thought how could they control us with the environment. You are so right. Tell a lie long enough and the minions will believe it. including intelligent government leaders. it is all a hoax and for people to fall for it, I have concluded, they are fooled by demonic deception, meaning their thinking is controlled by demons. For people to make decisions that are against their own well being, they have been turned over to a reprobate mind as stated in Roman’s 1. They have no discernment. Even so, come Lord Jesus.

Revelation 11:18, states that God’s wrath will come to “destroy them which destroy the earth” (KJV) or “destroy those who destroy the earth” (NIV/ESV). It highlights a future judgment on those causing destruction, interpreted as both environmental devastation and moral corruption.

Who determines the power source for electric power plants? The electic company?

Add into the current demands, the future increase in electric vehicles, these new AI data stations (I don’t remember their exact nomenclature!) and the previous egregious issues with solar and wind, we have been shown the outcome IF we don’t stay with and build upon generation that works. Consistently.

City Councils and State Legislatures are often involved. And, of course, Federal involvement via the EPA and Executive level involvement through Executive Orders.
There are multiple governmental and non-governmental organizations pushing these unsustainable, truly nonsensical ideas.

Lord Jesus, I pray that You will cause our leaders to be concerned about the fragility of our national power grid. Please highlight the fact that solar and wind usage to be a part of our power grid is not a reliable source of energy. Please give guidance and wisdom to our leaders as to what needs to be done to strengthen our fragile power grid. Thank You Jesus.

Dear lord, I just pray that they realize we really need electricity more than ever with everything coming up and running we need it. When I was thinking of electricity, I think of you because you are the light and I pray that you put wisdom and knowledge in them what this could do to us not to harm us, but to help us.

Yes, I pray our leaders in government will stop relying on green energy for our electric demands. God gave us plenty of coal and natural gas for good reason. GOD BLESS AMERICA! GOD BLESS PRESIDENT TRUMP!
