Lord, we pray that You would find our appeals to You to be acceptable, and that You would be moved to act.

As if to punctuate the press conference Friday, with the unveiling of many preparations and plans to care for citizens in the wake of the coronavirus crisis, President Trump called for a National Day of Prayer on Sunday, March 15.  The President followed up with a tweet that expressed this:

“It is my great honor to declare Sunday, March 15th as a National Day of Prayer. We are a country that throughout our history, has looked to God for protection and strength in times like these…No matter where you may be, I encourage you to turn towards prayer in an act of faith. Together. we will easily PREVAIL!”

We can be thankful that we have a President who values the power of prayer!

Many of you have been faithfully praying about this health crisis since its inception, but there is power in unified prayer and humbling ourselves before the Lord.  Share this proclamation with friends, family members, fellow churchgoers and more, to join together in unified prayer about the coronavirus on Sunday.  If you are looking for prayer points to pray, IFA has several prayer guides that can help guide your prayer time.

IFA has also created a prayer guide that focuses on finding peace in God
during this turbulent time–it is a great resource to share.

May we see greater receptiveness to the gospel during this time when people are looking for answers, comfort, peace, and protection. Look for opportunities to share with those you know.

  1. Prayer for America
Heavenly Father, I come to You now in the Name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father, I pray that You will keep American under Your wings and help her to continue to abide under the shadow of the Almighty God. Heavenly Father, I pray for the President of this nation, all of the Executive Branch of this nation and all members of Congress and the Senate of this nation, all of the leadership of all local, state, regional, and federal agencies, commissions and governments of this nation. I ask You to guide and direct the leadership of this nation in every way. (Romans 13:1-4)

Lord, thank You for Your protective hand that has shielded our nation. Thank You Lord for hearing the prayers and requests of Your people on behalf of this nation. Heavenly Father, I pray in the Name of Your Son, Jesus, asking You to give us divine protection for Your people of this nation, according to John 16:23. I’m asking You, Lord God, to ensure the safety of Your people and to keep our nation from harm’s way and provide protection from plans of destruction that have been plotted against us. I pray Father, that you would extend a hand of protection against all of the destructive forces of terrorism against Your people and this nation. I pray that You will protect this nation from evil attacks or acts of terrorism, and stop the aggressors or terrorists that attempt to bring destruction against our nation. I pray that You would give wisdom and discernment to those who provide protection for Your people and this nation. Help everyone in authority to be alert to signs of wrongdoing in this nation. I pray that You will provide insight to national, international and local authorities of this nation, to act swiftly, to avert all danger, protecting American lives and property. Guide the authorities of this nation in efforts to seek out and eradicate terrorists. Enable the military forces of this nation to become swift, powerful and accurate in any action of intelligence gathering and security. Heavenly Father, I ask You to loose Your mighty warring and guardian angels to expose and destroy any potential dangers being planned against America. I ask You Lord, to continue to bless and strengthen this nation. Heavenly Father, You are our Refuge and Stronghold in times of trouble. So Lord I pray, that You not take your hand off America and that Your people will dwell safely in this land, and prosper abundantly according to Your will. I submit this to Your Hand, Lord. I give You the Praise and I give You the Glory, that You hear my prayers and my supplications. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen

  2. Dear Heavenly Father,
Let the Church arise and be the Church in every way that is pleasing to you. Let the Churches that have lost their first love for you wake from their Satan stupor and be forgiven to come back stronger realizing their sleep has cost souls.
Let those who do not love You Lord awake especially at this time when the lost will really be lost in every area. Show them your peace which is the real deal through faith in You.
Father please give us all wisdom during this pandemic crisis-those in authority, ourselves and those who are panicking as well. Let us hear from you what our individual responsibilities are and give us strength to do it.
God bless all parents and give them patience with their families that will be home. God bless all children and calm them as they look to adults to calm their fears and provide good things to do while home and food and shelter. Please provide in ways that let us know it is you as always. But often we are to self preoccupied to see it.
This this pass quickly but not so quickly that we each one do not learn what you want us to learn.
God bless American and our Presidents Trump and Pence.
God bless all these prayer warriors today.
Thank you for this opportunity to exercise our faith and share what you have done for us through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
    We love you Lord

  3. Lord Jesus, we ask you to kill this virus and bless our nation. We do not deserve what we are asking for, but that is why your throne is called a throne of grace. By your invitation we come boldly. Forgive us and heal us. Call your church to repentance and prayer. May it please you to bless our nation and our world through us, your servants.

P.S. If there is a proclamation in addition to the tweet, would someone please be so kind as to post a link here.

  4. Praise You Lord Jesus for Your Word in 2 Chronicles 7:14! Viewed Sid Roth on Thursday, was very much encouraged and agreed with his team that the Holy Spirit would move on President Trump to declare a National Day of Prayer! On Friday night it became a reality, we have a National Day of Prayer tomorrow! Believing God’s hand will move across this land (even though most places of worship closed) healing millions of people physically and spiritually. Our country will become a “testimony” (Rev. 7:11) to other countries where millions will come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ! Such an exciting time to be alive and witness the moving power of God!

  5. Dear Jesus, when you were asked by by your disciples how to pray, you said,
”Our Father which art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name, Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread & forgive us our debts (trespasses) as we forgive our debtors (others their trespasses). Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil…for thine is the kingdom, the power & the glory, forever & ever…Amen!
Lord since this is what you said, this is what I say too!
Thank you Lord that your promises to us are all true…that the blood you shed for us on Calvary’s Cross will keep us & protect us & heal us…even in this day.
Lord forgive us & heal our wayward hearts & ways as we turn our faces upward toward you, sitting in the seat of authority in heavenly Places at the right hand of Abba Father.
Lord wake up your Church to the authority that you gave us & the power of the Holy Spirit you gifted to & infused in us in the Upper Room, that we will exercise the dominion & authority over the earth & to resist the evil one & his power in the air going to & seeking whom he may devour…
Lord, you who have given your life for us, look down & reveal your wisdom, strategies & instructions as to how to combat & destroy the evils of this latest plague & heal our land & the earth. Lord, deliver us from the evil ones within our government, let all that is hidden be revealed & judged that we may live to yet prosper & praise you in the land of the living. Thank you Heavenly Father, in Jesus Name, the name above every other name, to which every knee shall now. Let your kingdom come, they will be done, in Jesus name, Amen!

  6. I believe that President Trump is responding to the virus as King Jehoshaphat responded to the threat of attack by a multitude coming against him. The king called his people to pray. His words to the Lord were “our eyes are upon You”. I am praying the Lord will respond to President Trump as He did to Jehoshaphat with complete

President Trump has called the people to pray against this virus similar to King Jehoshaphat calling his people to pray again the multiple that was coming to attack Judah. The king prayed to the Lord saying “our eyes are upon You”. The battle was won by praising God, therefore our weapon is praise with prayer.

    1. From 2 Chronicles 20: If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help. 10And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not; 11Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit. 12O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.

  7. O God, our Father in heaven, I pray for, I plead for Your Blessings, Your Mercies for this trying, worrisome time in our world, in our Nation. Lord, may this be a time when our “Churches”/bodies open hearts and minds to hear you, to seek you, to experience your working. It is a time for us to step outside our comfort zone, to give you our burdens and fears and call on you, to open our minds to you and to watch for what you are doing. It is a time to give you honor and praise for your blessings, your watchcare and protection; to thank you for our families and for our brothers and sisters-in Christ.

Lord God, grant your wisdom and impart knowledge and understanding to those who are working/looking for solutions, answers, prevention and treatment, to the Leaders of Nations and esp. Our US, to whom many look for guidance, strength and consistency. Especially, O God, guide and direct our President, surround him with strong Prayer Warriors, Advisers in all areas, supporters and friends; grant him wisdom and faith; Work in his personal and private life that he may see and know Jesus, who is our Hope, our Atoner/Savior, Counselor, Comforter and our personal access and intercessor to You.

    1. Amen Joining hearts and lifted hands. Praying in one accord. Let our faith grow stronger and our prayers mightier. The Lord Jehovah is looking to the Body, the Ecclesia, to pray into His plan for America through this seeming crisis.

  9. Lordmay you continue to use President Trump to lead this country to repentance and revival. God you are no respector of persons. Lord President Trump has called this nation to prayer. May the call go out to all your people. Guide them to pray as You would have us to pray for the pandemic–protection, wisdom, and sensibility. Lord you are great and holy and righteous. May your Word prevail this Sunday to touch the hearts of those who need you. Heal those who are affected by the virus and keep those safe who may have been exposed. God I praise your name. Amen

  10. Father thank you for your mercy and grace. You long to be gracious to us and you delight in the well-being of your servants. Thank you for President Trump and for his humility in calling for a National Day of Prayer. I pray that this call to prayer will get out to every believer despite the short notice and that we will see the Hand of the Lord move decisively and quickly in response to our prayers so that the world may know that it is the Lord who has intervened.

Very encouraging word from Sid Roth…

  11. Lord, thank you for hearing our prayers and for your mercy. We believe you will turn this to good for the sake of your Kingdom and that you will receive the glory. Thank you for a national leader that turns to you and doesn’t rely on his own strengths to bring about solutions to the things that challenge this nation.

  12. Whether written by Ezra or a “chronicler” 2 Chronicles is a portion of the inspired Word of God. 2 Timothy 3:16 KJV, 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

14 If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

15 Now Mine eyes shall be open, and Mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.

16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever: and Mine eyes and Mine heart shall be there perpetually.

    2 Chronicles 7:14-16 KJV

Therefore, let us humble ourselves, and pray, and seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways.

  13. ‘Return to me,’ declares the LORD Almighty, ‘and I will return to you’ (Zechariah). God we are your people, and we humble ourselves, laying down every weight and turn to You that you may heal us and our land. We Repent. Our hearts are broken before you as we ask for your return and healing for us, ourselves and our land. In Jesus’ name, the Lamb of God, who takes away our sin, who takes away the sin of the world.

  14. Lord I pray that you would draw the leaders and the people of this great country that serves you, together in unity, to pray and humble themselves and seek your face and to turn from any wicked ways. Lord put a stop to coronavirus, stop it in its tracks. Because of the blood of Jesus Christ.

  15. It won’t cost one cent to pray for God’s help. Please do join the President for this time of great need.Father God we ask for mercy for us all to turn back to one nation under God.amen

  16. Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

TO THE CALL OF PRAYER AS A NATION!! One Nation Under God, of our Lord Jesus Christ!

It is with great urgency we need to recognize this day! Let us take heed as a people and nation “to the call of
prayer”. The blessing in fact that our nations government is acknowledging us to come together and seek God
is a greater test! Will we truly seek Him!
Have we had enough of the evil that is taking place?? A house divided against its self will not stand! We need God’s intervention to bring righteousness and truth back into our government, and nation. To plead in prayer for our generation of young who are being carried away by evil. We need the healing power of God’s hand upon a virus that has in fact plagued and
taken many lives. I am desperate for God! Forgive us Lord of our great sins of turning our faces from you instead of towards you! God’s Word says….

We must get our eyes off the worldly things……

Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

We must keep the Word of God and live them…..

Deuteronomy 13:4 You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice, you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him.

Will this just be talk and not action? Faith without works is dead. Let us heed this hour for His merciful hand to stop this virus, and all evil and wickedness that has plagued our lives. Hear our deepest of prayers of God individually and corporately.

Romans 8:15 says… For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by who we cry out, “ Abba Father”.

  17. Father God,You are our sovereign king! You have appointed our president to lead us through this turbulent time. Thank You Lord for giving him wisdom and faith in You to guide us through!
