I Prayed have prayed
Lord God, we pray that You will end this virus, and do so in such a dramatic way that everyone will know that You are God.

I have been praying about the coronavirus and all who have been affected. For the past few weeks I have felt God stirring my faith. It’s almost as if in the midst of my own struggles my focus was thrown off. I realized that I had a decision to make. I could live in fear and worry, or I could trust God at his word. I have been studying faith in the Bible, reading in the Gospels. I have been reading stories of the generals of the faith like Wigglesworth, Kuhlman, and others. It has challenged me in a good way. I have been praying for the church not to lose faith in the face of the coronavirus.

I was encouraged by reading Mark 9. Jesus prays for a little boy who has been tormented by demons since childhood. In verse 22 (NLT), the father of the boy tells Jesus, “Have mercy on us and help us if you can.” Jesus replies, “What do you mean “If I can, Anything is possible if a person believes.”

The father then says ” I do believe, Lord, help me overcome my unbelief.”

That is my prayer for God’s people, Lord, help our unbelief.

In the face of bad reports, have we forgotten that God can do anything? Have we forgotten who we are?

We have been given authority by God through Christ. I read a quote from intercessor Joy Dawson that says, “God hears prayers, but he answers faith.” It rang so true. I see that all throughout the Bible, throughout the Gospels. I have also read that “faith puts a demand on God.” Now I am not saying that we demand God around, but He moves according to our faith. That’s when we see God show up and handle it. All we have to do is read Hebrews 11 to see that.

Last night, my son and I prayed together. He has been concerned about the coronavirus and those affected and his heart has been burdened. So as we prayed, he was praying healing for all affected, for cities affected, and he said, “Lord we can’t wait, we need you to move! God you can do anything and we pray God put an end to this virus now!”

My son has autism but sometimes he prays with greater faith than me. At that moment, I saw such faith. Faith doesn’t just pray; faith believes I have asked according to God’s will and he will give me what I am asking. Faith believes God for outrageous things. To people who do not know Jesus it looks foolish, but we know who our God is and He can do anything.

I also read this verse and I pray it encourages us all.

For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. (1 John 5:4 ESV)

We are overcomers when we walk in faith.

I am praying in faith and believing that this virus will end soon, and I pray it will be in such a dramatic fashion that God will be glorified through it all. I pray the media will cover it and it will be a miraculous event so that even whole cities receive Jesus, and more people come to the Lord through this virus.

This is a great word for today’s needs and circumstances. So profound and so simple; a great overview of how faith works; I believe we have to exercise it before it can work. I love this quote she used, “God hears prayers, but he answers faith.” This emphasizes the importance, necessity and power of faith.

I always think of Paul,in 2 Cor. 12:9, when the Lord said to him, “My grace is sufficient for you (for your need, dl), for power is perfected in weakness.” (HCB) To me this says, God’s grace is sufficient for everything, and in our weakness, our need, we call on him, with faith-hope and trust- and his power can be activated and perfected. Paul in v10 “For when I am weak, then I am strong” Not strong in himself, but strong in the love, grace and power of Jesus Christ. How well am I, are you doing? Are we truly exercising such faith and experiencing such strength?? I also like to ponder on this statement by David Jeremiah,in Sept 2018, “God’s grace is sufficient for everybody, but it is only efficient for those put their trust in him” Lord, let these thoughts penetrate my life, my soul and be effective.

Dear God, Thank you, Praise you for the work 9YOUR WORK0 that is going on to protect and care for people in this 2020 worldwide emergency and pandemic. May people see more and more evidence of your working, of your power. May your Spirit be strong with blocking evil and with opening hearts and minds to who you are.
Thank you O God and grant blessings to all those in the forefront of this fight.

Dear Lord, we thank You that You are Lord over all and You have a plan. Father, because Pence was brave enough to pray about this virus we ask You to bless him. It takes a strong person to act as Daniel did and pray with the window open for all to see. Father, because our President and our VP are bold enough to pray for this country, we ask You to hear and answer so that You may get the glory. Let the world see that our leadership prayed and You answered. Let this be a testimony to Your power, Your greatness, and the truth of Who You are. In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen
