President Biden Delivers a Farewell Address
After half a century of contentious public service, President Biden issued one final address before leaving the White House.
From National Review. President Joe Biden bade 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue adieu in a roughly 18-minute long Oval Office address Wednesday evening, five days before his predecessor and 2020 general election opponent, President-elect Donald Trump, is set to take office.

In his final address to the American people, Biden thanked the public for the honor of serving as president and wished Trump “success,” before pivoting to an ominous message about the alleged threat posed by a newly ascendant American oligarchy.
“Today, an oligarchy is taking shape in America of extreme wealth, power and influence that threatens our entire democracy, our basic rights, the freedoms and the fair shot for everyone to get ahead,” Biden said.
The president was seemingly referring to the emerging coalition of tech entrepreneurs, led by Elon Musk, who lined up behind Trump ahead of the election and have rallied to support his agenda with millions in contributions to his inaugural fund. Biden went on to take a pointed shot at Mark Zuckerberg and Meta, which phased out its fact-checking program earlier this week in favor of the community notes system pioneered by Musk on X. …
“Americans are being buried under an avalanche of misinformation and disinformation, enabling the abuse of power. The free press is crumbling. Editors are disappearing. Social media is giving up on fact-checking. The truth is smothered by lies told for power and for profit,” Biden said. …
The outgoing octogenarian president’s Wednesday evening address caps a chaotic presidency that will be remembered by mass illegal immigration at the southern border, sky-high inflation, a world on fire, and the fewest press conferences of any modern president since Ronald Reagan. …
The outgoing commander-in-chief’s Wednesday evening address marked in an effort to cement his legacy as one of competence and strength at home and on the world stage, despite the fallout from his own administration’s disastrous pullout from Afghanistan, the wars that broke out in Gaza and Ukraine during his presidency, and lengths that his own cadre of loyal aides went to shield his slip-ups from reporters, donors, lawmakers, and even his own cabinet secretaries. …
Wednesday’s address marked an end to Biden’s half-century long career in American politics, which included four runs for president, eight years as vice president, and more than three decades in the U.S. Senate where he served as chairman of the upper chamber’s Foreign Relations Committee. …

Heavenly Father, as we consider the oath taken regarding Office of the President of the U.S., I confess I struggle with what occurred. Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:– I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Mathew 5:37 Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil. I stand in agreement for the Spirit of Truth to grant him an opportunity to seek forgiveness (as we have each needed this), that he might be saved. We know he did not act alone, therefore, bring conviction to every heart that is in need (knowingly or unknowingly). Each life is precious to You, we agree. Bring forth Your peace and truth in the transition of power. Let us learn from the past, that we may not repeat that which goes against Your will. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
God i pray that Mr. Biden repents and comes to the salvation of Jesus. Since father your judgements are final. And wish that no one perishes but all come everlasting life. In Jesus’s name.
Praying in agreement with you. May God give him a spirit of repentance.
Wow, what a sham! This man has been a public nuisance since I can remember. I thought his career was over when he made the headlines of the Army Times for plagiarism. I never thought he would one day be president. He, (and his evil cronies), have left a monumental mess for President Trump and his team to clean up. I pray that they follow God’s will and seek Him first, rather than their own self interests. For Biden, I say, good riddance.
