UPDATE: Our Government Affairs Coordinator Nicole Arnoldbik is on the scene in New Hampshire to cover today’s election. She had this to say:
“New Hampshire’s state motto, “Live free or die,” captures the posture of the crowd surrounding me in Laconia last night. It was a calm crowd with great patience and a good (collective) sense of humor. They easily made friends while waiting in the cold for so long and waiting for clear direction from police officers as we waited to funnel through the front doors of the hotel and through security. The woman next to me mentioned that her feet were cold, and a man brought her some socks. If the stereotype is that Republicans are rich corporate America, this group was not that at all. To my right was a landscaping crew and a large group of young men. To my left was a woman on disability and another woman who worked at the bar down the street. I could hear conversations in three different languages. It was eclectic, but overall, a crowd hungry for decisiveness.”
With fierce determination, the people of New Hampshire have held onto their first-in-the-nation primary status. Despite historic attempts by other states to move us out of our primary status, New Hampshire maintains this proud distinction.

New Hampshire state law says: “The presidential primary election shall be held on the second Tuesday in March or on a date selected by the secretary of state which is seven days or more immediately preceding the date on which any other state shall hold a similar election, whichever is earlier.”
New Hampshire has closely guarded its first-primary status through this provision. The state has held the first primary in each presidential campaign since 1920.
Why Does It Matter?
The New Hampshire primary has been a proving ground for presidential candidates since 1952. Candidates who perform poorly in the New Hampshire primary often drop out of the race, while candidates who do well in New Hampshire gain media attention and access to campaign funding. Granite Staters (citizens of New Hampshire) take this responsibility very seriously!
Trouble Brewing
Karen Testerman, chairman of the Merrimack County Republican Committee, is sounding the alarm concerning our 2024 primary. Why? “The New Hampshire law is clear where it states the first Wednesday in June as the cut-off date for changing one’s party affiliation,” Testerman says. “This was ignored by the secretary of state’s office and unlawfully changed to October 6, adding four months to the cut-off date.”
So, What’s the Problem?
Testerman goes on to say: “In 2024, the National Democratic Party chose not to participate in the first-in-the-nation primary in New Hampshire where it is the law that New Hampshire’s presidential primary will be scheduled one week prior to any other state primary. Subsequently, in September alone, according to the secretary of state’s website, 3,542 registered Democrats changed their registration to ‘Undeclared.’
“There are those undeclared voters who look at the qualifications of the candidates and choose to vote in one party or another. There are also those undeclared voters who want their preferred candidate to face a weaker opponent, so they will choose to participate in a primary to impact the choice for the potentially weaker nominee.”
It is with much prayer and great anticipation that New Hampshire’s intercessors look to next Tuesday, Jan. 23. Please keep us in prayer as we trust God for His perfect will for New Hampshire and the nation.

Heavenly Father, as the Granite Staters head to the polls to cast their choice of candidate for President of the United States, please place the following on their hearts: O Lord, endow them to select a candidate that has the faith and wisdom for their several duties, with a spirit of sacrifice for the common welfare, with mercy and justice, with uprightness and kindliness. Abandon those candidates who exhibit those traits of evil selfishness, greed, a van desire for honor, or abuse of power among them. Grant that the true purposes of government may eventually prevail, safeguarding peace and prosperity, so that we may live soberly and uprightly in Your site and have opportunity to tell of You and Your kingdom. Dear Lord and God, we who are in Christ are free indeed because He who was faithful unto death, is the substance of ALL things. I pray a loaves and fishes victory for Your choice. I know who my head says but we need Your choice. The one who will always seek Your guidance first. The one who will work (deliberately, diligently) to remove the stain of the last administration. The one who will lead this nation and the world in justice, truth, reality and evidence. I pray the one You are readying for ultimate victory in November is covered in Your favor. Please give us who we desperately need, not who we deserve. Thank You Father. Thank You Jesus. Thank You Holy Spirit. Amen
Nothing has really EVER changed- there is truly nothing new under the sun. Lord Jesus, may Your will be done in the primary process for 2024. Give those who are candidates guidance and direction. Pour out holy Spirit grace and protection upon them. Thank you, Jesus.
Heavenly Father, please help the voters of New Hampshire to sincerely take a good look at the Candidates and what they are actually saying. Help them to be discerning in their voting and not to simply assume that something is the case without prayerfully educating themselves. Lord, please bring Your best leader for our country, and help us to embrace that person in our voting.
Almighty Father and Savior grant us strength and courage to vote for the candidate of your choice.

Lord, have mercy on this country! Let the leader of your choosing prevail, and not the one of our choosing because our ability to discern hearts and to know the future is sometimes limited. Let the one who has the wisdom to navigate what you know lies ahead of this country be brought to the forefront.

Lord, whatever nefarious plans the 3,000+ Democrats who changed there registrations to Undeclared, thwart their plans and waste their efforts. Expose this strategy and other such disruptive strategies around the country. May Your Will prevail, Abba Father. Let your people NOT be complacent. I beg you in the Precious Name of Jesus and by His Sacrificial work at Calvary may souls be re-awakened within the Body of Christ. May we befitted for battle with our spiritual armor (see Ephesians). As You caused Gabriel to fly swiftly to Daniel, in Jesus Name I ask that You cause Your heavenly agents, Yahweh Tseboath, to stand guard at the voting locations during the NH primaries and all election activities this year. Cause them not to be delayed for I know the enemy strikes during election time. In Jesus Name, the “liberalizing spirit”, a spirit of “the lie of improvement” is cast down as well as any other entity that attempts to work against Your will.

We know that in today’s political climate, certain things that tend to fly under the radar are critically important. We have learned repeatedly that there are evil forces, working through individuals, that are trying to use our system through what seems to be harmless posturing & maneuvering…and they hope it will go unnoticed. Lord, we ask for full exposure of such people & their actions. We pray that Your will be done & that the vote & process are protected. Amen.

Not everything is a conspiracy. Some individuals may genuinely want to change parties, especially after the individuals running for office and their platforms become clear.
Then why extend the deadline
October is still months before the voting takes place. The change may be due to their thinking that by October who was running would be clearer.
The Lord and Holy Spirit knows their hearts; as an out-ot-stater I can only leave it with them.
Lord Jesus, by Your mighty hand, please provide the covering that only You can bestow upon the New Hampshire primary. May integrity and honest counting of the votes be the hallmark of this, and each and every primary being held i n our nation. Please, Lord, let no fraud or deceptive action come to pass. Let no irregularities stand, Lord Jesus. May this primary be held in the way that it is meant to, according to the governing rules of the state of New Hampshire. Thank you, Jesus.

May every mailed in ballot also be honest. No ballot box tampering with fake ballots. May every deliberate act of fraud be found and punished to the end that no one ever is tempted to deceive by ballot fraud in any means or shape or form again in any USA election no matter how important or petty.
