Along with all lovers of God and truth, my soul has been riveted by the shock of bullet fire at the Trump rally. The spirit of our nation cries out in grief for the loss of life, national integrity, and the trauma our union has suffered. We humbly ask forgiveness in deep repentance for the collective sin that has maimed us and brought us to this unspeakable violence.

In prayer I saw a picture of Donald John Trump in my spirit with his forceful, forward-moving posture and iconic hair. Immediately I began once more to cover him and the Republican National Convention with prayer for protection according to Psalm 91.

As I continued to intercede I saw a powerful angelic presence hover over him, covering his entire being, from head to toe, with the light and glory of the Lord as a secure rear guard. This protective glory was so complete and so closely ‘hugging’ President Trump, that the scripture, Proverbs 18:24, about companions “closer than a brother” came to mind and I began to pray for only the God-designed counselors to be close to Trump and other national figures and leaders.

The word ‘hover’ continued to rise in my spirit, so I went to the Word of God and immediately found these four powerful scriptures for prayer. In Biblical numerology, four relates to an open door. This year, 2024, is the year of the double door. We call forth a double anointing of prayer for effective intercession and intervention of protection over Trump, our leaders, and our nation now as we continue in intercession.

Genesis 1:2
The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

Deuteronomy 32:11
Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that flutters over its young, spreading out its wings, catching them, bearing them on its pinions…

Job 37:16
Do you know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge…

Isaiah 31:5
Like birds hovering, so the Lord of hosts will protect Jerusalem; he will protect and deliver it; he will spare and rescue it.”

Father God, we thank you for your leadership in prayer and unction to declare your word over President Trump and his family, the RNC,  and we extend our faith and prayers to cover President Biden and his family, our government,  and our nation. We ask again for your forgiveness and mercy through the blood of the perfect lamb, Jesus Christ.

We decree that the Spirit of God is hovering over our nation, protecting, and reestablishing the foundation for righteousness and truth as the bedrock for rebuilding personal and national integrity. (Gen. 1:2)

We decree supernatural wisdom and knowledge from God to be downloaded moment by moment as needed to provide direction and protection for our national and local leaders and the populace in Jesus’ Name (Job 37:16)

We decree the Lord of Hosts and his angelic forces are rescuing, sparing, and delivering our leaders, nation, and citizens from evil plans and harm in the name of Yeshua. ( Is. 31:5)

We thank you, Father God, for intervening now by your mighty right arm and staying close to us as your children to hover, protect, and preserve us for your glory alone. You are more than enough and our eyes are on you.
