Hurricane Helene is battering the southeastern United States. At times like these, it is important that we pray and intercede for those affected by the storm.
Post a prayer for your state!
The storm landed in Florida on Thursday night as a category 4 hurricane. It is the strongest hurricane to ever hit Florida’s Big Bend region, and the third hurricane to do so in under 13 months. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis confirmed that at least 2 people have died in the state. Over 1 million Floridians were without power on Friday morning, and many in the northern part of the state reported flooding.

As the storm moved on from Florida, it began to severely batter Georgia. The Peach State also saw several cases of flooding, as well as at least 7 deaths. As of Friday morning, over 1 million Georgians were without power as a result of Helene, which has now been downgraded to a tropical storm.
As Helene continues moving north, several states are being affected. Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina seem to have suffered the most, but states as far east as Mississippi and as far north as Ohio could still see at least local flash flooding. Rain and high winds are impacting much of the eastern United States, and some communities along the southeast coast are at risk of tornados.
As buildings are torn apart, streets are flooded, and millions are left without power, let’s pray. Pray that God would protect people from the storm, that He would comfort the families of those who were injured or killed, and that He would empower the affected states as they rebuild and repair.

Father, We call upon You to quiet this storm comfort the families who have lost loved ones. May your love be shown through the people and the acts of love and kindness. Be Glorified through the love shown to the people.
Father God, I just pray for Holy Spirit infused comfort to all those who are being affected by this terrible tragedy. They need immediate help with boots on ground and wisdom and your guidance for all the red tape with FEMA and insurance companies. Oh lord God shower them with folks who will bring them with your Agape love in Jesus name.
Father we praise Your GreatName, we pray for those who have been devastated by this storm that You comfort them and give them Your perfect peace may more hearts turn to You Jesus the Son of God. We pray for our leaders give them wisdom and with the first responders in Jesus Name.
Having read the book “As America has done to Israel by John P. McTernan” and the Bible, whenever I hear about these never before type storms, massive earthquakes, and other calamities America faces I know that is because we (Our government) is cursing Israel instead of standing with them. Every time we hold up support (weapons artillery) or coerce them into doing things that are against God (give up land, not fight back, etc.) we suffer these type of things. I pray that our Government (cackles and goofy) come to their senses and stop cursing Israel and bringing these curses upon the American people.
Dearest Heavenly Father: We pray your mercy and protection upon those in the path of this violent storm. We pray for the ones who have succumbed, and hope they knew and followed you and are now safe in your arms. We pray that our government would pick up the BIBLE and this book and start listening and following your word and ways so we will not be consumed because of their stupidity and lack of acknowledgement of you as our Creator, Lord and Savior. We pray YOUR WILL be done on earth as it is in Heaven. To you be all Glory, Honor, Power and Praise for you alone are Worthy to be Praised.
