The pro-life movement is witnessing one of its greatest national victories in decades. Following the passage of President Trump’s budget reconciliation “Big, Beautiful Bill,” which includes a measure defunding abortion providers of Medicaid dollars, dozens of Planned Parenthood clinics have closed or are preparing to close their doors.

According to SBA Pro-Life America, at least 41 Planned Parenthood facilities have already shut down or will soon, with projections that as many as 200 clinics could ultimately be forced to close. This comes as taxpayer support for abortion businesses is being phased out. SBA president Marjorie Dannenfelser called the measure “the biggest national pro-life victory since the Dobbs decision.”
The impact of this shift cannot be overstated. For years, Planned Parenthood received nearly half a billion dollars annually in Medicaid reimbursements, even though federal law prohibits direct funding of abortions. While the Hyde Amendment blocks federal dollars from paying for abortions themselves, pro-life advocates have long argued that funneling money to abortion providers indirectly sustains their operations. The new law aims to end that practice.
Planned Parenthood is fighting back in court. The abortion giant has filed suit against the Trump administration, and a federal judge appointed by former President Barack Obama has temporarily blocked the defunding measure while litigation continues. Planned Parenthood has claimed that 200 of its facilities could be at risk, but for pro-life Americans, this represents a long-overdue correction in federal policy.
The closures reveal another important truth: Planned Parenthood’s non-abortion services have dramatically declined in recent years. Cancer screenings, pap smears, and breast exams have fallen by more than 50 percent, while contraceptive services are down almost 40 percent. Meanwhile, community health centers outnumber Planned Parenthood clinics by a ratio of 15 to 1 nationwide, offering more comprehensive care to women and families without ending the lives of unborn children.
Planned Parenthood’s own annual report highlights the stark contrast: in 2023–2024, the organization performed a record 402,230 abortions while receiving $792 million in taxpayer funding — a near $100 million increase from the prior year. At the same time, abortion numbers climbed, and life-saving health services shrank.
Pro-life leaders are hopeful that this defunding marks a turning point. With more states, like South Carolina and Oklahoma, successfully blocking Medicaid dollars from flowing to abortion providers, momentum is building across the nation.

I have actively fought abortion for 49 years. 1st with Right to Life then opening a facility that gave pregnant young women a viable alternative to abortion. I am now 77 and not in the best of health, but l thank God for giving me life long enough to see the demise of Planned Parenthood. Praise God!

Lord God we pray all Planned Parenthoods, abortion clinics, facilities, providers and abortionists be shut down and stay shut down, never to reopen or practice this evil barbarism in any way, shape or form. Lord we pray all in authority have the light and understanding about its various forms, pill form, etc and that it be banned, made illegal and appropriately punishable. We pray it never again be funded by Medicaid or any other means. We pray all their sources, resources, funding, etc. be cut off and dried up. We pray for great awakening and awareness of truth on this issue and that no one will be funding it, even unknowingly. May our leaders continue standing for righteousness and life, especially the lives of the unborn. Protect them and all standing for righteousness on this issue and especially those on the front lines. May there be greater awareness for pregnant girls/women to know they can choose to give birth to their babies, have the help and resources they need to care for them, and/or have the grace they need to give them up for adoption by godly, loving caring parents. Thankful to Our Father, through Jesus Christ, we still have the right, now currently to speak out, to pray aloud about this and other related issues that
needs our prayerful consideration, and intervention! Yet, there are still those in prison because they did publically pray aloud, read scripture , tried to witness to those trying to obtain an abortion at clinics. Colo still deciding to fund Planned Parenthood in their stste with Medicaide funds, that is only one blue state mentioned this week! United Way is one of the largest funders of Pkanned Parenthood! Hardly anyone pays attention to this, while donating freely through paycheck deductions from their employers, directly! If one has this happening and not aware, look at automatic deductions on your paystub. Many have had this done, unaware, thinking the company was doing a ” good” thing giving back to the community.
So many over 70,000, 000+ Babies have been killed since 1977,when tallies started to be kept, and that is only the number of ” logged” in women at clinics, not necessarily at hospitals, or taking the ” pill” in any form that not only killed the baby, but many times tbe mother too. I worked with a young 20yr old gal who was taking morning after, and plan b pills regularly! She was to the point of interrupted monthly cycles, and near hemorhaging events! Constantly nauseous and many other issues, yet The dr kept prescibing, and she kept taking them. Ive spoken with her as many occaissions as possible, Invited her to see Sound of Freedom the year it came out, to just give us another way to have a conversation on the massive crimes against children and babies are taking over our world! Her response was so sincere, a light went off and just kept praying she would consider these Truths soon. Doorways have to be opened to a knock upon the doors to the hearts and minds of these lost souls! Lord, we just need Courage to knock, Readiness to Teach, Reach and help us to Save the souls carrying the babies, stealing the children, and the rest of the evil doers in this sewer of an industry!

I agree with some of the comments already made about the fact that abortion numbers have really not declined in many ways. Here is the victory we must hold onto and not lose sight of. We are one NATION under God. Through Christ, our Nation has a covenant with Him. When abortion was the law of the land, that is the lens through which our Father saw this nation. No longer does he look through his lens and see a Nation that has made it lawful to kill the unborn., but instead a nation that has repented and removed that heinous law. That makes a huge difference regarding God‘s hands being untied toward our Nation in order to go forward and begin to now address abortion on an individual personal level with those who continue to perpetrate it.

Lord,thank you for this milestone in defeating molech in our times. Now we need to pray against the crossing state lines escape route of those who who have not yet been delivered into the glorious Grace of Jesus, still traveling across state lines to abortion states. It was just reported in this recent week that in a handful of states, the murder of the innocent has increased many times in retaliation to the Dobbs decision, by the enemy of our souls, in deceiving the heartbroken and weary souls of women who have either been convinced they cannot have their child, or are facing outsized obstacles in various ways in this broken life that cause humanity to be crushed under the weight of agony that is this life, that we as believers constantly war against. Lord help these women to be aware of your presence and healing, and enlighten their minds with your truth Lord, the only truth.

yes, it’s fantastic news that Planned Parenthood butcheries are shutting down; but the abortion pill is still keeping the bloodbath going. Never stop praying.
Yes, it’s a time to praise God for the closure of many PPH clinics across America. But it is still a time of prayer to get the abortion numbers under control. Young people can go on line and get an abortion pill with no questions asked, no consent needed and with very little direction about taking the pill. Iowa, one of the heartbeat states, is down in abortion numbers, but they women can quickly schedule one in Illinois or in Minnesota. So, while it sounds good – abortion numbers are up, not down.

I am so pleased to read this article. I just read recently that in spite of RoevWade being overturned, the amount of abortions being done in the US has not gone down. Women are flocking to pro-choice states to get an abortion. We continue to pray the Lord would bring strong conviction to the lawmakers in these states and remove the spirit of deception off them so they can see the heinous act of abortion for what it is: murder!! Change their hearts oh Lord and turn this thing around, in Jesus Name!

This is wonderful news, but the next battle is the abortion pill that is taking many lives that used to choose surgical abortion.
I dont believe in using abortion as a birth control. Anyone can go to a government health clinic for condoms or other birth control options for free. With all the diseases if I was having casual sex a condom definitely. The only abortion can agree with is life threatening, or race. I know of a young girl in middle school that already has had 3 abortions. It’s sad. What happened to saving yourself for true love and marriage.

Now Lord, I ask that You provide strategies to stop the sale of the abortion drugs, because as Cynthia pointed out – the battle is not won unless that, too, is accomplished. And the battle for the souls of a generation steeped in “abortion rights for women” propaganda also rages on – and that will require the transformational power of Holy Spirit, and the testimonies of the Truth that babies have a “right to life” be accomplished. Holy Spirit, bring revelation and cause people to value all of the babies you created. Create a surplus of babies so couples like my husband and I can adopt a baby without having to pay a fortune. Bring reformation to the adoption industry in America and stop them from selling babies to the highest bidder. Stop the lawyers from using infertile couples and young pregnant women to get rich. There is help for you out there, without having to rely on any gov. run facility. There has been much success with this Biblically Christian guided group so far. This is a wonderful answer to prayer. However, we also need to pray that the morning after pill. Would be abolished because women are not even going to clinics.They’re just taking the morning after pill. And there are terrible side effects for both mother and baby.
