President Donald Trump announced a major breakthrough on July 30, saying Hamas and other armed groups in Gaza have agreed to fully disarm. Officials are calling it a historic step that could pave the way for lasting peace between Israel and Gaza, following talks with Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey. For Christians who have been praying for peace in the Holy Land and for the safety of the Israeli people, this news is worth paying close attention to.

“The Board of Peace reached a HISTORIC agreement for the COMPLETE DISARMAMENT of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza. This is a monumental step toward lasting PEACE and SECURITY,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. The president said that “Israel will have the security it deserves, with Gaza no longer used as a base for terror attacks.”
The agreement will happen in stages.

Phases include making all military operations in Gaza stop, which will be followed by decommissioning heavy weapons, tunnels, and production sites in the Gaza Strip.
“As disarmament is completed, Israeli forces will withdraw, and the International Stabilization Force will work with a new Palestinian police force to take responsibility for Gaza being safe for its residents and its neighbors,” the president said.
Trump acknowledged that there was still “much work to do” as he thanked the mediators in Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey who made the agreement possible.
This agreement comes nearly two years after Hamas launched a deadly terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, killing around 1,200 people and taking hundreds of hostages into Gaza. Since then, Israel has fought to dismantle Hamas and bring the hostages home, a war that has drawn both strong support and strong criticism from around the world. Trump also said Gaza will eventually be run by a new government, one that works closely with the Board of Peace on behalf of the Palestinian people, rather than under Hamas control. U.S. officials say a Palestinian police force has already begun training to take over from Hamas, and the entire process could take up to a year, depending on how smoothly each step goes. Officials also said the long-term goal is to help Gaza build a free market economy that creates jobs, though they acknowledged significant humanitarian aid and rebuilding will be needed in the near term.
The Bible tells us to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem” (Psalm 122:6) and to support Israel’s right to live safely alongside its neighbors. If Hamas truly disarms, it would be a major win for peace, removing a group that has openly sought Israel’s destruction and endangered lives on both sides. Let us stay watchful and remember that real, lasting peace isn’t just about political deals. It also depends on protecting human life and dignity for everyone in the region, both Israeli and Palestinian.

As a biblical Christian, I realize that “peace” will be truly a lasting peace when Jesus’ feet touch the ground again, but until then, we are truly grateful for a window of opportunity to advance the gospel through this current “peace measure.”
This “deal” is as phony as a three dollar bill. The Palestinian “Police” have exactly the same demonic hatred for Israel that Hamas does, and insist on a Palestinian State. Gaza is part of the inheritance of Judah. Trump routinely ignores the authority of the Bible and Almighty God. He should have allowed the IDF to completely defeat Hamas which they were well on their way to doing. God have mercy.

Our Lord and Heavenly Father. Thank you that President Trump is trying to negotiate
a peace deal with Hamas and that they lay down their arms. We already have all our
hostages back which is a huge blessing. It will be 3 years since the deadly killings
of the people from Israel on October 7th. Hopefully Hamas will honor this peace deal
and truly lay down their arms so those tunnels cannot be used anymore for torture and violence.
Also please pray that there can be peace between Iran and America and Israel. Every time
we try a cease fire or peace deal they lie and go back on their word. President Trump has
been forced to use his military might again so they know he means business. Please
give President Trump wisdom, knowledge, understanding and discernment in all that he
does in regards to this and he will be able to run the Country and talk to diplomats around the World.
God is in control and our prayers will get us all through this conflict that we are in. Praying
for salvation to all who need it in the Middle East.

As a side note I don’t believe God is in control. He has given mankind free will. Consequently we are not robots. That’s why we are to pray His kingdom come to earth, and His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. However, it seems the Lord responds to our intercession and intervenes when He needs to in answer to our intercessions.
Father God let your will be done completely in the United States, Israel, Palestine and around the world. Let the peace of Jerusalem reign around the world. Keep our hearts and minds focused on you always!

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for using President Trump, the “deal maker,” to be a peacemaker in the Middle East. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, “blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called children of God” (Matthew 5:9). Please give wisdom to those who are actively seeking, yes, persuing peace in the Middle East. As we await Your Kingdom to bring the real lasting peace on Earth, give us the patience and insight to see your hand at work through the imperfect men You have chosen to lead the peacemakers. Forgive us for our criticism of Your chosen servants, Lord. Let us not be discouraged when things seem not to go as we hope because our haste may be in opposition to your timing to create this peace. I pay for Your will to be done on Earth as it is in heaven and for the safety and security of the peacemakers.

Israel already allowed Gaza to be rebuilt. They governed the area. Hamas took over. They built their tunnels, and eventually invades and started this war.

The Bible says when they declare peace, they will actually be war. do not be deceived by what is presented but discern the true agenda. The closer we get to the return of Jesus Christ and the closer we get through the 20/30 agenda, you better be covered under the blood of Jesus. Does anyone REALLY think that a terrorist group, Hamas, is going to maintain a peaceful agreement? I think not. Hopefully, I am wrong, but it just doesn’t sound possible. Lord Jesus, You can make a way where there seems to be no way. I put this Hamas peace situation right where it needs to be- in Your mighty hands. May Your great and perfect will be done.
Brian, Hamas is being controlled by some very evil central bankers who make money from war, and the destabalization of the middle east; but God has worked miracles before and he will do it again despite who is controlling the flow of money.

This article makes sense to me. As tough as this is. and has to be, I believe in the people involved and that their intentions are right.
Historically set in this generation and time, this marks the solidity of character and common objective for the dignity of all mankind.
As for Christians with the hope and expectation of realizing the end times prophecy is being fulfilled, the truth is God is sovereign, not wanting that any perish but to have eternal life, John 3:17.
Technically we don’t know when Jesus will be sent for that return. Certainly it appears He could be. But we don’t know. As individuals we are to be ready and look up, and as mankind it could be used for an even greater Plan. We need to let God be God for our own sakes, and be responsible for this task of establishing peace should He tarry. There could be many more saved by our showing mercy and love now. Love must be tough.
Thank You Father for President Trump, his administration, and the surrounding countries who share this objective. May there be peace in the Middle East and Israel for all.
