I rejoice whenever our law code reflects God’s righteousness and the precepts of His Word, because it matters. If a nation’s law code violates and opposes God’s law, then it brings a curse on that nation. I recognize that morality “cannot be legislated”, and that even Torah did not have the capability to change man’s hearts or bring salvation because it was not intended to. It provided standards of behavior, and just punishments for violating them – just as civil law does. God’s Word does it one better than civil law – it provides promise of blessing for obedience. Therefore, YHVH, I cry out to You that not only will You continue to deal with the “justice system” and “legislation” that need deep reform – but You will pour out Your Spirit on all flesh; bringing conviction of sin, righteousness and judgement; bringing many into the Kingdom – accomplishing salvation and necessary heart change!!

This is an answer to prayer. Our state group has prayed about this exact thing. We praised God when Texas first put the age restrictions. We continue to pray because of the ties to trafficking and minors. It’s still a very real problem, but not one that is to great for God.
