I Prayed have prayed
Lord God, strength our police officers and military. Give them perseverance and courage to protect our nation well.

A sprawling network of federal and local law enforcement across the US that is designed to stave off terrorist threats failed to protect the Capitol on Jan. 6 because officials did not act on intelligence that had been gathered prior to the riot, a report said Monday.

The intelligence included warnings from federal-local law enforcement “fusion centers” across the country that warned of protesters traveling to DC with weapons, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing internal documents viewed by the newspaper. . . .

But despite the warnings, the intelligence arm of the Department of Homeland Security wrote there was “nothing significant to report” in a Jan. 5 memo to law enforcement across the country.

As a result, the security forces in DC were woefully unprepared for the mob of President Donald Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol, leaving five people dead, including a Capitol Police officer. . . .

The intelligence was shared with the Washington, D.C., fusion center — and, in turn, with the offices tasked with providing security for the Jan. 6 event. . . .

The Journal also highlighted a report from the FBI field office in Norfolk, Va., that pointed to a message board where one user was urging protesters to “go there ready for war” and sharing maps of the Capitol complex.

The intelligence was shared with the joint terrorism task force in Washington, but not acted on by the FBI, according to the report.

The bureau told the newspaper the information was uncorroborated and not linked to specific suspects, which made following up on it difficult.

In the weeks since the riot, more than 100 people have been charged with federal crimes, including members of the Proud Boys and fringe groups such as the Oath Keepers, who allegedly conspired together prior to the riot.

Really IFA?? “woefully unprepared for the mob of President Donald Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol, leaving five people dead, including a Capitol Police officer.” Why would you post this on this site?? Very disappointing!!!

Yes, Donna, you are right – of the five people dead, only one was actually killed because of the riot, and she was the one shot by a capitol police officer. Three of the others died of medical emergencies that had nothing to do with the riot, and the police officer died died the next day, probably of a stroke. Investigation (autopsy) showed no evidence that he had been hit in the head at all, much less by a fire extinguisher, and his body showed no signs of any trauma. Those reports were false, apparently just made up by the media, and this false information should not be spread in any way.

I agree, Donna! This is (gulp…) CNN-level reporting. What’s happening to our precious IFA???

The following footage compilation of the Capitol on January 6 is quite revealing:

IFA -did you proofread this article?
Supporters of President Trump were part of the group that entered the Capital. But they WERE NOT the people initially instigating the damages or other mayhem. Please do your due diligence before posting certain articles!! Posting things like this further the false reinforcement that the left has been so willing to spread.

My comment should have read:”As a rioter and a potential…” not as “a writer and editor”. Spell check, I guess. I apologize.

I wish IFA would not continue to share articles which place the blame on “Trump supporters.” And also the disinformation about how the 5 died. It is perpetuating a misconception. I believe there were two events in DC that day. I have friends who were there. Friends who have visited DC and the Capitol multiple times in the past. None of them were in the Capitol on that day, yet IFA continues to reprint a letter that brands every Trump supporter as a writer and editor potential murderer by association. A real diversion from an attitude of prayer!

Antifa and BLM were the main active planning weeks ahead. The devil is clever but we are not stupid. “Capitol riot news and BlM March through DC. IFM 2/9/21. SHOWS THOSE charged as Antifa. Also the young military person shot dead by police was the only direct casualty as Tucker Carlson noted.

The question might have been better stated, “How should we pray?” I appreciate the scriptures shared here to direct my mind toward His Word. Whether it was very poor judgement of the leaders or deliberate political shenanigans, evil prevailed and left us heartbroken and angry.

We need you, Lord. Your Word is truth and full of wisdom; we repent. Please guide us and help us; use us to rebuild America as you intended. Only you, Lord, can bring America together. What others intend for evil, you can use for good. We will praise you in good times and times of trouble like now; you will never leave us. You are our help and we lift out eyes now to you. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

PLEASE POST THIS COMMENT –

Why does IFA post this article which calls the rioters Trump supporters, showing an image of recognized ANTIFA members posing as Trump supporters, yet only mentions Proud Boys not the other terrorist groups including the BLM Soros supported group? There are other articles that corroborate that the DC Capital Police were told to stand down. This article for those reasons stated is spreading disinformation that insults the IFA community.
