I Prayed have prayed
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Pray for protection from North Korea, not only for our nation, but for all nations. Pray that the Lord would inspire our foreign policy decisions.

The fear of the Lord leads to life, and whoever has it rests satisfied; he will not be visited by harm. (Pr. 19:23 ESV)

“A former Korean-American professor has been detained in North Korea, becoming the third US citizen to be held by the regime since 2016.

Kim Sang-duk, also known as Tony Kim, in his late 50s, was reportedly prevented from leaving the country on Saturday when he tried to board a flight at Pyongyang international airport.

His detention will further complicate relations between Washington and Pyongyang at a time of already heightened tension. . . .

North Korea said on Sunday that it was ready to sink a US aircraft carrier to demonstrate its military force.

‘Our revolutionary forces are combat-ready to sink a nuclear powered aircraft carrier with a single strike,’ reported the Rodong Sinmun, a newspaper known to report propaganda for the North Korean regime.” (Excerpted from The Telegraph, reporting by Nicola Smith.)

“The White House announced Monday that it would host an unusual private briefing on North Korea for the entire Senate on Wednesday, and President Trump spoke with his counterparts in China and Japan.

This flurry of activity comes ahead of a key anniversary Tuesday and as Washington steps up pressure on the North.

Just days after the nation marked the birthday of founder Kim Il Sung with a massive military parade and missile test, there are concerns that North Korea could stage a provocative missile or nuclear test Tuesday, the anniversary of its military’s founding.” (Excerpted from The Washington Post, reporting by David Nakamura, Simon Denyer and Anna Fifield.)

“Behind the Trump administration’s sudden urgency in dealing with the North Korean nuclear crisis lies a stark calculus: a growing body of expert studies and classified intelligence reports that conclude the country is capable of producing a nuclear bomb every six or seven weeks.

That acceleration in pace — impossible to verify until experts get beyond the limited access to North Korean facilities that ended years ago — explains why President Trump and his aides fear they are running out of time.” (Excerpted from The New York Times, reporting by David E. Sanger and William J. Broad.)

Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Romans 8:32
Mark the blameless and behold the upright , for there is a future for the man of peace. Psalm 37:37

Father God, I come to you in Jesus name. My precious merciful Father, we love you and adore you. Lord we pray for your divine intervention in this circumstance with North Korea. Lord, we know the leaders there are known to make hasty decisions that harm their own people, their family members, innocent visitors. Anyone who doesn’t agree with and adhere to their destructive ways and their mission to destroy and harm others is at risk for loss of life and severe punishment. Lord, we need you to show yourself nightly in this land Lord. Show the people in Japan, South Korea, the US Military around the Korean Peninsula that you are very present and with them at all times. Lord, I pray you will soften the hard hearts of the evil regime and somehow perform an amazing miracle to calm these turbulent matters. Lord, give Donald Trump, Mike Pence and others who are working hard to diffuse this situation divine insight and the proper words to communicate that will make a difference. We thank you Lord for loving us and protecting our country and the land of our allies as well. We love you Lord, In Christ Name. Amen.

The right person with the wisdom of Solomon, and the intelligence of Daniel, Joseph in handling the affairs of a foreign country. We pray for godly intervention in this matter. May skillful men and women rise up and speak with the Leaders of North Korea. May the United States have favor with North Korea and its Leafers.

Praying for God’s wisdom, insight, understanding, discernment, knowledge, courage and strength for President Trump and all who are involved dealing with this unstable and unpredictable leader of North Korea. Praying they will seek God and acknowledge Him, to be led by God and not lean to their own understanding or be wise in their own eyes. Praying that the people of N. Korea be set free from this cruel dictator and for God to rule and reign in their lives.
