A new poll asked people what they think about Colorado’s removing Trump from the ballot.
From The Hill. More than half of Americans approve of a Colorado Supreme Court ruling to bar former President Trump from the state’s primary ballot, citing the 14th Amendment, according to a YouGov poll released Wednesday.

The online survey, published just a day after the ruling, found that 54 percent of respondents either strongly or somewhat approve of the decision, with 35 percent disapproving. …
Nearly two-thirds of Democrats, 63 percent, strongly approve of the ruling, according to the poll, with another 21 percent somewhat approving.
Independents were split, but a larger proportion support the decision, 48 percent to 35 percent. About a quarter of Republicans said they support the ruling, with 12 percent strongly supporting it. …
From The Hill. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) said Thursday he thinks the U.S. Constitution “could not be any clearer” that former President Trump is ineligible to hold public office again under the 14th Amendment.
“This is a chance for these [Supreme Court] justices to show that they really mean it when they talk about textualism, when they talk about originalism. The plain text of the Constitution could not be any clearer,” Raskin, a former constitutional law professor, said in an interview on CNN’s “The Situation Room.” …
Raskin’s remarks come as Trump has pledged to appeal a ruling from the Colorado Supreme Court that declared him ineligible to appear on the 2024 presidential ballot.
The ruling cites Section 3 of the 14th Amendment that says former public officials are ineligible to hold public office again if, “having previously taken an oath … to support the Constitution of the United States,” they “engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.” …

I am suspicious of a lot of polls. ….who is pointing the finger at who?
I consider the present administration to be very treasonous against our constitution. With all the executive orders and laws passed that are against the constitution and the right of life, against the family, and damaging to children— again I say, who is pointing the finger at who.

Father, I pray that you will intervene in this matter concerning President Trump being allowed to run for the office of President of this country. It’s obvious that the enemy doesn’t want him in office because it will thwart his plans to bring down this nation. This country was built on biblical principles, and I bind the attempts of satan to destroy what you started Father. Father please open the eyes of the people in this nation to see how they are being blinded and deceived by the enemy. Reveal truth to them Father through visions, dreams and laborers for the gospel. With the people who “think” it’s a good idea to bar the “real prez” from the ballot, it’s completely obvious that they are ignorant of the laws of our nation. People, instead of being aware and informed…. give their pitiful, uneducated opinion based on their “feelings”. Truly sad and pathetic where we have degenerated into as a society. Many people don’t even have a clue of the difference between an activist court vs. a court that abides by the Constitution.
I think the court should take the case. I will pray that they do. Since President, Trump has not actually been convicted of the accusations against him, and it seems that the person who brought the case against him doesn’t have the authority to do so, there is no valid case or reason to remove him from the ballot. Trump never supported insurrection. In fact, he called for a peaceful assembly. This is recorded, and there is a video of him saying this. This is just another political ploy by the Democrats to try to get their way. I believe President Trump is clearly God‘s choice. He is the only person that can pull this country out of the mess that it’s in, and he clearly has the Republican nomination.
Lord Jesus, Righteous Judge and truly Merciful One, let Your perfect will be done, not to protect former president Trump’s rights but to glorify Your Holy Name!
Lord, I confess I don’t understand it all, Trump has not been convicted, but anyone with ears or eyes who have read his own words knows he did give comfort to those who invaded our Capital to disrupt the transition of power….and sadly, Trump is still being disruptive, in word and deed. Those that approve what Colorado Supreme Court did remind me of those that approved of Hitler in the early days as he broke law after law with the approval of many Germans and Jews! Then as Hitler’s wickedness increased until it engulfed those early Hitler approvers, they realized just what they had done siding with evil that was now coming after them through their friends and children (hitler youth)! Evil is never satisfied! All you that approves of the unconstitutional denial of President Trump being on the ballot (which is not lawful for the Supreme Court to deny): just hold on; that same unlawful Supreme Court will be after your rights next Colorado citizens! Instead of approving what this unlawful, unconstitutional Supreme Court did, you should be re-calling or impeaching them! I do not believe this poll is accurate. It’s most likely rigged. Trump did nothing wrong. They’re grasping at straws because they’re afraid of him and desperate not to lose power. Some are demon-possessed. They do not realize the only one with the real power is God himself. The Master of the universe. Truth and justice will prevail. God is on the side of righteousness. He alone will win. Lord, save us from our enemies. Amen.
Protecting life, loving Israel, putting God first, calling out the haters is easily gotten and understandable. What floors me is seeing supposed Christ followers identify as never trumpers which leaves only one choice to vote for, that of pro abortion / murder, abduction and trafficking, appeasement of our enemies, taxation without representation and constitutional treason.
The prophets and Jesus spoke the truth and they were targeted for death. But, Yahweh will make his cause shine like the moon day sun.
There are other candidates which are against abortion and pro-Israel. This election doesn’t have to be between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
Interesting that Gavin Newsom is opposed to keeping Trump off the ballot in California. He thinks it’s a bad idea. Every time they try to indict Trump or keep him off the ballot, he surges in the polls.
Also, I would question the survey’s validity. They know how to get the results they want. That said, this is not going to end up the way they want. They are desperate and making very bad choices. Trump will win.

Since when do we make a person prove innocence instead of having guilt proved? It was a sad day when the Colorado Supreme Court decided Trump was guilty of a charge he hasn’t been charged with! I didn’t think the courts would rule based on their fear or hatred of a person. Sad day.
Many people forget that we are not a democracy where the majority always rules. We are a Constitutional Republic, where the Constitution sets boundaries for our elected officials to create laws. The “current” views of the majority change often, so we have a steady set of rights and rules that the fickle majority cannot violate. President Trump (and everyone else) should be judged based on his Constitutional rights (based on immutable Biblical values), not the ever-changing opinions of a majority of voters. This is why our Founders were fervently against a simple democracy and called it “mob rule.”
This is the reason that the justice system is layered. Someone can appeal and there are higher courts which can overrule a lower court. Yes, it is not perfect. Sometimes the innocent gets convicted, but the system helps prevent that. Anyway, now is not the time for outrage because this ruling can get overturned down the line.
But this also helps us see the importance of keeping politics out of the judicial branch. Any politicians who is campaigning on the promise of taking control of the justice branch and forcing it to follow his political ideals should be looked at closely.
When was he convicted of that charge? Oh. That’s right he had not been convicted. Then how is it legal for him to be taken off any ballot?
People are scarred of President Trump being voted in again…. Why? Because President Trump follows the laws of God rather than the laws of man, and this puts fear in their hearts and minds.
Following man made laws will only lead us further down the selfish, fighting path we are currently on. Continuing on this path will only lead us in a downward spiral towards increased depravity, loneliness, directionless and increased evil.
How sad and evil our hearts and minds have become if this scenario is really what we long for.
Dear Jesus, PLEASE redeem our hearts. Replace our current hearts of vial evil and replace them with hearts of love, concern and caring for ourselves and each other.

God established government and laws so that mankind would have order. Their authority comes from God, and even in the case of Rome, Paul told Christians they should honor God by following the laws (with the exception being the worship of other Gods.)

Why did the Colorado Supreme Court decide Trump was guilty of insurrection even though he hasn’t been charged with it? The evidence that shows he did not encourage the riots and overthrow of the government has been covered up. The hatred of Trump is showing up in unjust rulings. Let the trials decide his guilt.

Jim, I am curious to the source of the information. Im leery of polls. Not putting him on ballot is a violation of our rights as voters to decide who we want, not a few people saying we know best so he’s off ballot. Let people decide. If he’s really not wanted they’ll not vote for him. No small group should decide who we the people want. He’s not perfect but I believe he looks out for America. More than I can say for the last 3and 1/2 years of Marxism.
My remark was in response to the survey the Hill was reporting on, but I agree that polling is questionable now because smaller numbers of people are polled and sometimes organizations that poll return to the same pool over and over again. And I think as politics have become more intense, some individuals don’t respond to poll requests and those individuals are usually the more conservative Democrats and the Republicans who don’t support Trump. Without their input, the polls are going to be off but if they are off, it would be that in Trump’s favor. The poll which the Hill is reporting on is based on an online survey which means they have no way of knowing that all groups are responding, and so it is probably not accurate (IFA is bad about using unreliable sources.) But if you want a source for polls, there is Realclear polling. They collect polls taken by news sources, universities and political organizations. They generally show that when Trump is pitted against Biden, as low as Biden’s ratings are, it is almost even with sometimes Trump beating Biden by +2 and sometimes losing by +7.
Sorry. I meant to say that the polling would ‘not’ be in Trump’s favor.
A professional poll is going to be more reliable than one taken by other sources. One reason for that is because their reputation and future income is based on their getting an accurate result. And the test of their accuracy is how close they come to the actual election results. You can almost usually tell that a poll is professional if they include their polling method, and some measure of how off it might be. However, even professional polls are more questionable these days because they are polling smaller groups and often returning to the same groups. And then there is the fact that some groups have grown weary of politics, and they don’t respond.
What the remark about ‘more than half the country believing that the Colorada courts are right’ does is remind me that the opposition to Donald Trump is so intense that he is unlikely to win the presidential election. If the Republican party wishes to win, if Christians want to have an influence, then we need to look at other candidates or we will miss our opportunity.

i certainly hope that the SCOTUS will take up this case, and truly hope that they will indeed rule in Trump’s favor. No, he is no choir boy, but he is infinitely a better choice for President than Biden and his failed policies. I pray for God’s will to prevail in this whole fiasco.
I believe that the LORD will establish truth for the Supreme Court ruling, establishing that there is no truth in the insurrection or rebellion actions that President Donald J. Given the events that took place prior to the sixth, such as refusing to have the Capital police and additional people involved to protect the crowd; the inclusion of Black Lives Matter it’s pretty clear that a few left leaning individuals were behind the events on the sixth. Additionally, footage from the sixth indicates more of what actually took place and not what was told by the fake news. it’s hard to imagine that so many independence could fall for the propaganda.

My understanding is that President Trump was not charged with insurrection therefore he shouldn’t be removed from the CO ballot. My heart breaks for this man in that he has always had to fight for everything since becoming President. I know that he is not our savior but I appreciate that he’s not a politician and try’s to do what he says he’ll do. I’m thankful he doesn’t give up! It’s not for the pay!
