New COVID Strain Named for Goddess of Discord and Strife

Have you heard? We’re being warned about a new strain of the COVID virus. It’s called EG.5 — or Eris. So much information about the origin of the virus is public knowledge now. Some suffered injuries due to the vaccines. The masks did nothing to slow the spread. Yet, here we are three years later, being “prepared” as if we’d been given any truth the first time around. We must be vigilant.
What’s in a Name?
When I saw the new strain of COVID trending, something caught my eye. The name is “Eris.” Most Christians understand that names can have prophetic meanings. Eris is the Greek goddess of strife, and her Roman equivalent is Discordia. She stands for chaos, contention, rivalry, and war. Thus, her name means strife and discord. I don’t think the name choice of this strand was accidental. Do you?
Learning From Our Mistakes
I write this as a warning to all believers. We must not fall into the patterns of 2020. COVID happened, and we cannot say it didn’t. Many people lost loved ones to this terrible virus. People were paralyzed by fear, churches shut their doors, store shelves were empty, and businesses suffered greatly. People were hurting, depressed, and frantic, but the worst part was the divisiveness. Not only was the nation divided, but so was the Church. The vaccinated villainized the unvaccinated, and sometimes vice versa. Those who wore masks called out those who did not, and vice versa. Those churches that followed the mandates and shut their doors took flack from some Christians, while churches that kept their doors open came under fire from others. It was a huge mess. The Church should have been focusing on the spiritual wickedness behind the virus and on helping each other, but instead, we turned on each other.
A Deadly Duo
Discord and strife are a one-two punch that works together. Discord is simply a lack of agreement or harmony. It happens when someone intentionally stirs up trouble to divide, either by words or actions. The sole purpose is to sow distrust. Once the seeds have been sown, since there is no longer agreement, suspicion, arguments, and fights soon follow. Strife is defined as conflict, quarreling, disagreements, and opposition. These things are often unavoidable, especially since sincere believers have different opinions on matters like our faith, politics, and everything in between. We should be able to handle our differences with wisdom. The Bible has a lot to say about both and how we believers should handle it.
Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19–21).
Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses (Proverbs 10:12 AMP).
Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling (Proverbs 20:3 NLT).
A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger and patient calms disputes (Proverbs 15:18 AMP).
For lack of wood, the fire goes out, and where there is no whisperer [who gossips], contention quiets down (Proverbs 26:20 AMPC).
There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers (Proverbs 6:6–19).
Yes, you read that right: The Lord hates one who sows discord, one who intentionally seeks to cause separation. If you want to learn more, I recommend reading through the book of Proverbs.
Will This Be a Repeat, or a Second Chance?
Like it or not, the virus is coming. What will we as the Church do? If the virus is here, then it could mean another vaccine is in the works or on the way. Some colleges have already instituted mask mandates. Will they try to shut the churches, and the world? We can expect those who don’t know Jesus to be filled with fear, to act out, and to attack people. We Christians can do better. The following passage from 2 Timothy describes the character we should aim to have concerning quarrels.
Again, I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.
Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth.
Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants (2 Timothy 2:23–26 NLT).
We are to have nothing to do with foolish arguments. It’s wise to avoid this altogether if there is nothing to be gained from it. Christians, we must not be the ones picking worthless fights or reacting foolishly! We must be kind and patient with difficult people. Kindness and patience are both fruits of the Spirit, whereas quarreling and strife are works of the flesh.
When we are so desperate to prove we are right, instead of being determined to obey the word of God, we come off as rude and even un-Christian. When we speak according to the word of God, with His Spirit’s leading, the result is that “they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap.” Isn’t this what God wants for all mankind? Yes it is, and He expects us to do the work. If this is how God expects us to treat those who do not know Jesus, then how much more does He want us to treat our brothers and sisters in Christ this way? Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! (Psalm 133:1).
Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry (James 1:19 NLT).
The entire law is fulfilled in a single decree: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you keep on biting and devouring one another, watch out, or you will be consumed by one another (Galatians 5:14–15 BSB).
All of these commands are possible through the power of Christ that is at work within us. After all, the Bible says we can do all things through him who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). We can obey. We can love those with whom we disagree. We can honor the Lord with our thoughts and our words. It begins with asking Jesus to make us willing to obey Him, to speak (and to post) wholesome words, to love our neighbor, and to ask Him to show us where we might be unwittingly “biting and devouring one another.”
The Bible teaches only one time in which division may be an option: when someone in the Church seeks to separate Christians with false doctrine (see Romans 16:17). The word of God is worth defending. If someone, whether Christian or not, is wearing a mask, is that worth quarreling over? Ask yourself: Will a believer who loves Jesus and chooses to wear a mask (or not to wear one) be kept out of heaven for that? It sounds silly, doesn’t it? But we did make a huge deal out of it. Whether someone is or isn’t vaccinated is no reason to start an argument. No Spirit-filled believer who loves Jesus and prayerfully made a decision to get vaccinated is God’s enemy or yours — and you are not their judge. Let’s not waste our time nitpicking over insignificant things.
We can do better. We can choose to move in a spirit different from the world: the Holy Spirit. As believers, we are in the world, but not of it. We can learn from our errors and stand our ground in faith.
Prayer Strategy
I believe the name of this new COVID strain reveals the spirit seeking to be manifest through it: discord and strife. Let’s pray the opposite of this spirit. The opposite of discord is agreement. The Bible tells us that there is power when we pray in agreement, and that Jesus is with us (see Matthew 18:20). The opposite of strife is harmony, which also means agreement, accord, and being in tune. As Psalm 133:1 says: … how good and pleasant is it when God’s people live together in unity — and some translations have replaced the word unity with the word harmony. Though they are not the same thing, they are nevertheless connected. If we can have harmony in our relationships, we are one step closer to achieving biblical unity. If you are ready to pray about this virus, let’s agree together now:
Father, we humbly come before You and ask for Your help in this matter. We praise You for revealing the truth about the origins of the original virus, and we pray that You would do the same with Eris. We appeal to You for justice in this matter. We pray for Your Church to rise with boldness, to confront evil, and to remember that we are not warring against flesh and blood, but against spiritual wickedness. Align our spirits with Your Holy Spirit, so that we would not be led into strife with one another. Cleanse Your Church from pride and from the “knowledge” that puffs up, and let us humbly return to speaking the truth in love. In Jesus’ name, we come against and bind the spirit of strife that is seeking entrance among us through this virus. We give that no place in our lives, conversations, or relationships. We bind the spirit of discord that is attempting to divide Christians. We pray that any media outlets being used to fill people’s hearts with fear will be rendered ineffective. Let all lying lips be silenced in Your presence. Let every seed of discord sown by the media be fruitless and die. We praise You that no weapon formed against us will ever prosper. No spiritual, physical, or bioengineered weapon will ever prosper. You said it, and we believe it. Take what the Enemy means for evil, and turn it around for good. Where he is using strife and discord to divide the Church, let us instead move ahead as one. Bind us together in love and in the bonds of peace.
We loose the power of agreement according to Your word that says, “Where two or three are gathered, I am there in the midst.” We thank You that when we are gathered together in Your name, You can do what we cannot. Help us to be defenders of biblical truth, and guard our hearts against engaging in foolish quarrels. Help us to use every opportunity to teach others Your way. Help us to be patient with difficult people, because we can be difficult too. We pray for a great harvest to come forth during another crisis. Fill us with Your Spirit of wisdom, and let our speech be filled with grace and seasoned with salt, so that we may know how to answer every man. Help us to use this virus, and every opportunity, as a teachable moment. We pray that the blinders would be removed from the eyes of the people held captive by the devil. As we speak Your truth, may people be freed from the devil’s traps and may their souls be won. We were saved for that very reason: to bring others to You.
Finally, saints, in the encouraging words of Scripture:
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen (Ephesians 3:20–21).

Good article but, I believe the deaths were NOT from the virus. I am convinced it was the Remdesivir. I was almost a casualty but refused it after I was strong enough to think. (pnumonia)

If you wait for prayer to save the world , you better brace yourself for disappointment. People have done for centuries and prayed for this and that and died. God does not care, if he did and was all powerful he could end this suffering. So either he does not care or does not exist. Also , couldn’t he have come up with a better to save people than kill his son. If you or I did that we’d be put in an assylum
Father, we love You and need You.
You alone are Holy.
You are our shelter and our strength. We cannot protect ourselves, so Father, spread Your wings around us and protect us from the plans of the enemy.
God, I ask that you would remove the veil of deception that is covering our world. Give discernment to those in Your church who have lacked it for the past several years. Open their eyes Father, let them see the spiritual war waging around us.
Do not let Your people be overtaken with fear, but let us overcome fear by Your Word and by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
Fill us up daily Lord and pour us out.
May Your words always be on our hearts, on our minds and on our lips. Let us speak the truth, about all things, to those around us, and may we see many turn from their sins and come to put their faith in Christ over the coming days.
Lord, let us be ready for Your return, and until You do come again, send us out to preach the Gospel.

LOVE the article! We do need to distinguish between acting in Strife & Discord vs. speaking the Truth in Love while exposing evil for what it is like Ephesians 5:11 says…this includes speaking up about the lies and truth of COVID, masks, vaccines, and the evil ppl behind the ultimate agenda.
The names of the first two “waves” of COVID resonate with the first two horsemen of the Apocalypse. The first named “Corona” means “crown.” The second, Eris (Greek or Discordia Roman) means “discord,” which is an absence of peace. Look at Rev 6:2-4 ESV:
“…a white horse! And its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer.
“When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” And out came another horse, bright red. Its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that people should slay one another, and he was given a great sword.”
I can’t help but question: Did we miss the opening of the first seal? Are we looking at the second seal being opened?
The author of this article is right. There are no coincidences with names.

Romans 16:7 doesn’t refer to false doctrine in any way.
That must have been a typo, as Romans 16:17 describes that, but there are also two other references in 1st and 2nd Timothy that describe instances where we are told to avoid persons (whether believers or not) who cause strife, division, or arguments, also inferring that we shouldn’t do that ourselves, either!

Yes, here we go again along with the other atrocities that are happening in our country. The Church still stands in spite of mask/no mask separations. But, God has given a mandate to His Body on how to handle every situation. We are the light of the world and the salt of the earth. How can we be effective when we are fighting among ourselves. The Church is going to be the first to be judged. This should make us stop and think for a moment. We are not to act as the world does nor seek the world for answers. All of this is spiritual and the world doesn’t get it because all that the world has to offer is the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. We are under a different Commander in Chief and He is the Supreme Court and Judge. Our God is Sovereign over ALL. This includes Covid or whatever. Our God reigns supreme and there is nothing that can outdo Him. Our problem? We are still looking to man for solutions to our problems. Can’t happen.

Seasonal flu, viruses, RSV, and the common cold have been associated with fall and winter for generations. now COVID. Keep your covenant with God and know your covenant rights. Speak the WORD of God which is both spoken and a person, the divine Savior we know as Jesus Christ, who triumphed over ALL principalities and powers both innthe heavens and on earth, including covid and every other disease and person or thing that tries to exalt itself above Him. Exalt the WORD, the promises, the divine facts, don’t lend your tongue to divination for the enemy’s camp dooming and glooming more covid captivity over us. Wake up church.

I decided several years ago to get radical with the WORD of God and my covenant rights. God (through His unfailing faithfulness and word) has delivered me right in the middle of several heart attacks without ANY outside medical intervention. I am 63 and onnzero medications, 100% relying onnGod and His word. I have felt the chest tightening and sharp pains several times on different occasions, different times and places, at work, driving, at home, in bed. I learned to stand on his covenant and his word. In the midst of chest pains I cry out like Jehosaphat did. We are in a war. Was it years of cholesteral or was it the enemy coming to lie, kill, or destroy me, who knows, who cares, all I focus on is Christ crucified, Christ triumphant over ALL, every enemy, he is sovereign over ALL, my body, my aches and pains, my life, my days, every breath I take. He is a very present help in time of need. I know i havent fulfilled all his will for my life yet, i know the enemy wants to wipe me out before i can finish my course, but i know greater is HE that is WITHIN Me who said “See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.” Learn His word and rely on His unfailing faithfulness. Know your COVENANT rights and responsibilities, and live like it. God isn’t just up in heaven. He us WITH us and IN us, a very present help in time of need. A close relative has been battling depression and other mental illness, he did seek medical intervention, in spite of the psyochotropic meds he tried overdosing on bloopressure meds, as soon as he swallowed the contents of half a bottle, he regretted it and cried out to God. He had an immediate bowel movement and passed every pill intact. He saw them in the toilet! That is medically impossible BUT with God nothing is impossible.
His wife took him to emergency and as we already knew, there was no trace of an overdose. He has been under doctor’s care for over 10 years on drugs for mental illness, yet God intervened for Him as well Because God keeps His word and covenants… God is a VERY PRESENT HELP IN TIME OF NEED. we are all waiting for the day when this young man receives full divine healing and no longer takes any medications. Church, the promises! The Savior! His faithfulness! I could tell you many true stories of God’s divine interventions physically, financially, and spiritually for me not because i deserve it, i am the least, but i have saturated myself in his word and i do my best to stand on it during every trial. Sharing those testimonies won’t help you as much as you spending time with Him and IN the word where He will strengthen your heart and train your fingers to war and your hands for triumphant battle. Know the word, know the Savior, know your covenant rights and your covenant keeper. GOD BLESS.

God have mercy on us and give us Your wisdom and strength. My hope is in the LORD who made heaven and earth!
This is just the saddest thing that these evil twisted elites would do this again! So many damaging effects occurred during Covid, depression, substance abuse, loss of jobs..I pray we as a country don’t let them take our freedoms this time!
Lord Jesus, protect us from the governments rulings to take our rights away. Please let people have bravely to stand up for freedom! Let the Christians & churches be a light to the lost. Lord keep us under the shadow of your wings and let Your truth prevail! Amen!
Heavenly father, I decree
Psalm 91 over all of your children, and I pray that no weapon formed against the family of God will prosper and that we would all be kind tenderhearted forgiving each other in Christ. Jesus remembering we’re all in the same family with the same father I thank you Lord for getting us through all these days and I have faith that you’re going to watch over your word and it will not return void and you’re going to be with us through whatever is coming we will not fear or be dismayed. We declare Jesus blood over us all hallelujah to the Lamb of God in Jesus name, I pray.

I am not surprised that the enemy is attacking through another round of Covid name Eris. In the name of Jesus help us not to fall for this fear tattic again, Dear Lord. May we be wise in your Spirit Lord. It is coming up soon an election and voting will be a big source of attack. Let us use our authority in rebuking this tattic and wake up to prayer as a first step in stopping the enemy. Help us to be fearless and listen for your voice of guidance. Help us to encourage the weak I. Faith to be Resilient. In Jesus name . Amen
Thanks for the revelation. My prayer is the church will be fearless this time and not engage in miscellaneous arguments about whether to get vaccinated or not. Everyone of us has a different measure of faith given to us by God Himself. May the wind of the fire of the Holy Spirit unlike the wind of fire in Hawaii insulate the children of God from this virus as God did in Goshen in Jesus powerful and mighty name Amen

This is an exact copy of what Gloria wrote, so I am amazed at the accusations in the comments that she said anything else, or that it was one-sided. Vice versa means that the vilifying was from both sides toward the other. The diatribe went both ways!! When we are hurt, it is so easy to take offense – sometimes at things that are not even there or at things we misunderstand. If you have ever heard, “That got my goat!!”, then you’ll understand what I encourage us to do – Make your goat ungettable!!! That is a common reminder between my husband and I. There is such a thing as “righteous anger”, but much of what I see in myself and others is not righteous, and I repent of that and repent on behalf of the body of Christ.
In our family, we came down on different sides of the question in regard to how to respond to vaccine and mask mandates – but we did not vilify one another or disrespect each other. We recognized that it was a personal choice, and honestly that is all I want – to have personal choice and not government mandates and fear-mongering. Sadly my son lost his job partly because of his choice, and may have difficulty finding another as a result of what may be coming again. That was not right for anyone, and my heart goes out to all who suffered as a result.
LORD, I reread Gloria’s prayer and stand in full agreement with it.
She changed the wording. The first edition spent several sentences blaming the unvaccinated for shaming the vaccinated. It seems the strong reaction in the comments led her to reword it. I agree there is no point (certainly not for a believer in Jesus) to live in offense and to vilify another, but the way it was originally worded was very poor, and not at all in line with what most of us experienced over the last few years.
Informing people on why they are not required by the Lord, nor required by any constitutional amendment-,to inject themselves with a poison substance- or to suffocate themselves with a face diaper- is not- foolish ignorant talk-,

For the most part, I agree with this premise of this article. We are not to get involved in senseless controversies but rather speak the truth in love.
And yet, when lies and deception abound and masks and mandates become symbols of compliance to these lies, then it is incumbent on Christians who see through the deception to join with non- Christians in speaking truth in order to protect others from the destruction that happens when large groups of people are deceived and act out their feelings rather than stand firm on the Word of God.
Much harm has been done because Christian leaders have participated in a passive kind of self-censorship and failed to challenge their congregations in applying the Word of God to our present circumstances. We must walk in faith, facing the truth, rather than act out of fear.
Every person who does not wear a mask (which has been proven ineffective) encourages others to take theirs off and not remain silent in the face of evil. Every person who speaks up about this toxic mRNA jab that is neither safe nor effective may save the lives of others, especially those who have not yet heard the good news of Jesus.

Steve, I’m so sorry that you and your family went through all that. It must’ve been difficult. I’m not sure how well I would have done, if all this happened to me. Hindsight is showing us that those who refused the experimental shot were wise, and avoided untold dangers and even death. Marty, not sure if you’ll see this but thank you for your concerns and prayers. I was reacting to the first edition of this writer’s prayer article, which placed blame on the unvaccinated for vilifying the vaccinated (perhaps that happened in places, but my family’s experience in CA was quite the opposite). . The writer changed the wording after the strong reaction in the comments section. In any case, I agree Christians give up their right to living in offense and bitterness when they submit to Christ, but we have a moral obligation to stand for truth and righteousness and against evil, even (especially) when it comes from within the church. As far as for me and my family, we left that church and formed an amazing faith community where we saw divine healings, powerful worship, and relationships renewed, a true outpouring of Holy Spirit. The lukewarm church we left with the mandates and cordoned off sections for the unvaccinated still doesn’t understand. I pray they repent and receive the blessing. All that said, the wording of the first edition of this article exposed some lingering trauma of rejection and broken relationships from 2020-2022 that I still needed healed, and I submitted it to the Lord and repented of letting the enemy’s threats give power to fear. The Lord is so good, and his mercies endure forever.

I guess it sent out more saliva or something (even behind the masks?)! We had all we could do not to cut loose and ream them out! You are asking us to minimize our worship of the King and kings and Lord of lords Who died on the cross for us and then was raised from the dead?? Had they no faith in the power of His shielding as we worshipped Him?? Rather than deal in such discord, we quietly left. We love that body of believers and we will always keep praying for them, but we found another church that understands how profoundly we can trust the Lord Jesus with our lives and health. Wasn’t it through IFA that we learned about mRNA research and humanized mice. The vaccines are not neutral or benign. They were formulated through using aborted babies’ fetal cell lines. How can God bless that? Many chose not to get the vaccines/boosters for that very reason. They chose to be treated as pariahs rather than put such an evil thing in their bodies. They lost their jobs and weren’t allowed to travel or forbidden entrance to many places.

I agree whole heartedly with the prayer. I have a difficult time with just saying nothing. If you truly believe that vaccines are doing more harm than good, and recommended protocols are uneffective is it more loving to say nothing or discuss intelligently. I have personally experienced hostility just in trying to discuss and chose to back out while still taking every oportunity available to speak into.
The Father has been telling us through the prophets that this was going to happen or at least be attempted. It is so important to be in the Word and clinging to the Father right now in order to keep from falling into fear. My vaccination for the first round of Covid was Psalm 91 and it will be my vaccination for the next round of Covid. I predicted a new round of Covid would appear before 2024 and this may well be the case. You all know what will be happening in 2024.

Another fabricated Covid manufactured by man, led by the leaders of this world. It has been predicted earlier in this year and sadly it has come to pass. I believe it will cause fear in the masses of people, cause shut downs, forced mandates among the people and of course a new Covid vaccination, that only God and the people who manufactured the vaccine knows what it will do. It is the enemies intent to create death among the old and the young, if not by being hit with Covid, but with the vaccine. I have no doubt that Pfizer and other vaccine manufacturers, CDC, WHO, etc., will be absolved of any potential lawsuits by this government.
Living in Florida, I believe that Governor DeSantis , will not shut down this state or mandate masks. It will be up to the citizens of this state to chose of their free will how, as necessary to protect themselves from this attack from the enemy.
As a Christian, I will not bow down to this. I have trust in the Lord as I did when the first Covid attack hit this nation and this world, that He will protect my family, my church and all believing christian churches with a hedge of protection. The enemy has to be defeated by the presence of God, men/women of God, by prayer and fasting.

The church is here to restrain. We cannot restrain and at the same time comply. Never again will I wear a mask or even think about taking a vaccine or booster. I know for sure my current church won’t shut down; they never did the first go-round of the virus.
We need not disparage people who are wearing masks or running for the next inoculation, yet we will likely have to confront others who tell us we aren’t ‘loving our neighbor’ by not doing the same. We need to put on the full armor of God to stand our ground against the enemy who wants to grip people with fear and control. We should remind people of all the egregious results of lockdowns to school children, businesses and the elderly who couldn’t see their loved ones. The huge number of athletes and young people who have perished after the vaccine. We should also be armed with truth about what the vaccine actually does, the fact that the masks do not work to stop the virus and that standing six feet apart is such an arbitrary, unscientific mandate.
I am not unsympathetic to the Wuhan virus. I lost a sister and a great-aunt. But I believe it was the mandated treatment for the virus that killed my sister. As for my great-aunt, she was a casualty of then Governor Cuomo who ordered infected patients to take up residence in nursing homes–she lived in one. We need to be wise as serpents but gentle as doves. I expect we will be villainized, called un-Christian, accused of spreading the virus, and much more, but we need to stand for freedom.

With Covid I claimed the scripture that no plague would come nigh me and the Lord protected me so that I never got it. I refused the vaccine as my trust is in the Lord alone. Thank you for your insight on how to pray, but I do think we need to ask the Lord to restrain this virus. The first step in vigilance in prayer is to understand from where we fight… in the courtroom of heaven. We ask for a restraint order. Many lost their jobs fighting to protect themselves and others from the harmful effects of the vaccine. Many more lost their lives. Not a foolish argument at all. But I agree we can present ourselves better as The Church. I pray Father with thanksgiving for the exposure of this plan, exposure of our fears and heart attitudes, but pray for vigilance and fortitude as we stand with You in wisdom, discernment and the knowledge of God. We listen to You and plan. We sit in Your presence and pray, then advance. Chaos and discord may be the spirit released, but we need to deal with that through the fruit of the Spirit, and deal with the deadly effects of the vaccine through wisdom and resolve. God be with us as we stand. And praying that indeed, we have learned and the troops are ready. Those who died fighting did not do so in vain. I was/ am on the frontline. Perspective is crucial.
Dear Father, It is so difficult to see people struggling, getting sick, not getting sick but being accusatory. The family is divided, the church is divided, the country is divided, the world is divided. Please help us to focus on YOU, Your Son, Your Spirit. Help us to remember that when we point a finger, there are four pointing back at us. Help our words to give life, help our actions to be bold under your direction, or subtle for the same reason. I believe this is a very poorly thought out article. My wife shared it with me because I, like another commentor, see “red” when people’s health is so blatently abused. (Often to the point of death). For lies. The Churches role is to “stand up” for the broken and oppressed, not “go along to get along”. In case you didn’t notice, there was real suffering during Covid. Jesus said, “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth, I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. Covid continues to divide and cause discord and strife. How appropriate that this “new strain” is aptly named Eris. May we be wise and ask the Holy Spirit to be the loudest voice we hear!!! May we not be controlled by fear, or influenced by those attempting to cause division. I agree with this well written article and prayer except for the statement that says, ‘those who were vaccinated, were villainized by those who were unvaccinated.” I never found this to be the case. Maybe this was a typo? The overwhelming problem was the unvaccinated being persecuted by those who had been vaccinated. Horrible things were said to those who chose not to take these Covid shots. Many people were fired from jobs, excluded from get together, etc……… And to some degree, this is still happening.

This article confirmed what The Lord has been impressing upon my spirit with His Holy Spirit. I have been seeing Proverbs 6:6-19 everywhere. Sowing discord among the brethren is something that God hates, it is detestable to Him. None of us have Jesus figured out, none of us will have perfect doctrine while in these flesh suits. Walk in (stay) The Word and The Spirit (remembering they are one) and pray as you go and The Lord Jesus will lead and guide you safely to His harbor.

He wasn’t vaccinated so rumors spread like wildfire throughout our town that he preached against the vaccine but HE didn’t because he and our members believed that everyone has a choice when it comes to our health. The anger was on both sides of the aisle but to the most part most people really didn’t care if you had or hadn’t been vaccinated. This article took me back to all the feelings during the summer of 2020. As a teacher, it’s hard to see people make decisions based on ungodly drivers. While I don’t think these decisions could separate them from God’s love and entrance to heaven, I’m concerned for every agreement made that gives the enemy contractual footholds in this life. Small decisions based out of fear- of harming self or others, provision, government mandates- that manipulates one into making a decision that has profound affects later. Or… decisions made for convenience or pleasure- travel/buy & sell, etc. . All of these seemingly small decisions based on ungodly drivers erode the conscience and sensitivity to the voice of the Lord. I do not wish to argue with people, but I feel a responsibility to God and my brothers and sisters to speak the truth in love. The last pandemic I felt strangled, like I just couldn’t say anything. I pray for breakthrough- that those who discern rightly would speak in such a way that the mark would be hit and the heart would turn from ungodly manipulative voices. I pray that those who know truth and love would abide in the Lord so much that they would speak words that accomplish that which they were sent forth to do. God help us all to remain in Jesus.

I see what you’re saying. I saw it both ways. I have a loved one who was outraged at people who didn’t understand the truth and got vaccinated as Christians and non-Christians. He “saw red” everytime anyone was for it, because he cares about peoples health, but he doesn’t show it compassionately. I also saw people tell some of my family and friends that they could not longer be around them anymore because they were not vaccinated. Covid was meant for chaos and hit the target BULLSEYE! A very timely and informative word.
We have to speak truth in love. But unfortunately, even with other Christians, speaking truth ends up not so good. We speak the truth kindly, but they just don’t want the truth and choose their own way. Instead of trusting the Lord, they live in fear. Instead of listening to Jesus, they listen to the government. Holy Spirit was showing us the truth in 2020 when they tried to lock us down. We must take a stand as the church that is supposed to be the example and lead in the strength of the Lord and not comply to their demands!
