The Council on American-Islamic Relations released a statement condemning Netflix’s “Cuties” show as exploitative of girls and offensive to Muslims, and called for its removal from the television platform.

Title this One Of The Few Times Christians And Muslims Agree.

The film has been widely criticized as child porn; Netflix, in defense, has said it’s only trying to draw attention to the problem of sexualization of children in a critical manner. . . .

“We join other Americans in calling on Netflix to remove this disturbing film from its platform,” said CAIR’s executive director Nihad Awad in a written statement. “Although the filmmakers behind ‘Cuties’ have argued that the film is meant to criticize the hyper-sexualization of children, a film cannot criticize the abuse of children while abusing children.” . . .

CAIR also said “to make matters worse, ‘Cuties’ features depictions of Islam and Muslims that range from the stereotypical to the offensive, including a scene in which a barely-clothed Muslim preteen gyrates during a forced exorcism while an Arabic recitation plays in the background.” . . .

After all, Christians wouldn’t like it if the sexually exploited child was being sexually exploited to the good music of the gospel — to a rousing rendition of “Amazing Grace,” for example.

Right?

Right again.

Netflix needs to pull the plug on “Cuties.” It’s about as widely condemned as it can get.

Are you outraged by Cuties? What have you done to take a stand against this terrible show?

Well it makes since to me that Muslim Christians would be against the sexual exploitation of young girls, due to many of them withdrawing their children from the new sex education curriculum. I pray for all those who support this sin of lust to turn their hurts to the love of God.

Well, if Muslims are offended and complaining, you can be sure Cuties will be dropped. Not so, if it’s only Christians complaining. It’s been this way for years. I don’t watch Netflix because I really can’t find much that isn’t dark, ugly and gruesome. Prefer to watch things that lift me up, not down (like watching the news).

Dropped the subscription…listed Cuties as reason for cancelling it.
