Lord, we thank You for the freedom You have given each one of us. Help us to stand for what is right and for biblical values.

The President of the United States annually declares January 16 to be National Religious Freedom Day. The goal of this observance is to protect and promote religious expression rights.

On January 16, 1786 the Virginia State Assembly adopted the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom drafted by Thomas Jefferson in 1777. As a result, the Church of England in Virginia was disestablished and people of different faiths were granted freedom of religion. Catholics, Protestants and Jews were all given equal rights to express their religious beliefs.Religious Freedom Day was first proclaimed in 1996 and has been proclaimed every year since then by a statement by the President of the USA. . . .

Freedom of religion is considered to be a fundamental human right. Everyone has the right to manifest belief or religion, change religion or not to follow any religion.

The right to change religion or belief is stated in Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations General Assembly.

Let’s spend some time in prayer thanking God for the religious freedoms we enjoy and the rich inheritance we have of freedom in this nation. We can also pray that our freedoms will be preserved, but let’s start with thanksgiving.

  1. Our Father in Heaven, please send help from Your Throne of Grace today and deliver us from all the evil that is raging in this nation. In Jesus Name, and for Your Glory. Amen.

    Our Father, who art in heaven,
    hallowed be thy name;
    thy kingdom come;
    thy will be done;
    on earth as it is in heaven.
    Give us this day our daily bread.
    And forgive us our sins,
    as we forgive those who sin against us.
    And lead us not into temptation;
    but deliver us from all evil.
    For thine is the kingdom,
    the power and the glory,
    for ever and ever.

    Amen! 4
    1. Dear Beloved of Christ our Lord….I have a question. Where are the men? I’ve looked at comment after comment, and every prayer I’ve seen came from the heart of a woman. Where are the men? We need Prayer Warriors, men and women alike, so I’ll pray and ask our Lord to please raise up men, as well as women, to pray for America, to seek Your face, to turn from our wicked ways, and that You will hear us from Heaven, and move Your hand, and heal our land!
      2 Chronicles 7:14

      Amen! 5
  2. When you see this your heart will rejoice and you will flourish like grass. The hand of the Lord will be made known to His servants but His fury will be shown to His foes.
    See, the Lord is coming with fire, and His chariots are like a whirlwind, He will bring down His anger and fury and His rebuke with flames of fire, for with fire and His sword the Lord will execute judgement upon all men and many will be slain by the Lord Is.66:14-16

    For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our King, it is He who will save us Is. Is.33:22.

    ( therefore, I hope we will always do our part to believe, trust and obey Him to keep our freedom if we do these three things…and also stay on fire in the Holy Spirit ) because it is clearly His will to do these things for us!

    Amen! 11
  3. It is very ironic that today is National Religious Freedom Day when we are been censored if we don’t want socialism. Plans are underway to strengthen the Johnson’s Amendment, re-educate The children of Trump supporters, just to name a few items on the horizon. This will probably be our last National Religious Freedom Day.

    Amen! 6
  4. Dear LORD, what a wonderful Father You are! You formed this nation and brought it into being. You established the religious freedom we are so blessed to have received. We did nothing to earn it, yet you were generous and gave it. We pray for freedom all around the world and the opportunity to freely worship You. I ask for forgiveness in not being a good steward in sharing Your precious word. I ask for forgiveness for the sins that this nation continues to promote. Place in the heart of every American the true desire to return to You, to do Your will and to seek Your face. Let the name of Jesus be exalted and the Gospel be proclaimed. One nation under God, for Your glory! Amen.

    Amen! 28
  5. Father in the name of Jesus i thank and praise you for the desire you have placed within each of us that nothing can satisfy but you. Thank you that you have given us freedom of religion in USA. Father i pray for religious freedom around the world, i pray for the religious oppressed around the world, that you would convict the hearts and minds and souls of those who want no God. Uncover the secret cause for their rebellion and woo them to yourself. In Jesus name! Thank you!

    Amen! 18
  6. Thank you, Father, for the freedoms You have given us in this country. Please forgive us for turning away from You and all our sins. I pray for spiritual revival in this land and that we will repent of our sinful ways. Please soften hearts and open eyes to Your glory, Lord. Amen

    Amen! 28
  7. Thank you Heavenly Father for the freedoms we have in this country. Forgive our land from turning away from you. Father praying for a mirace in our country. In Jesus name Amen

    Amen! 29
  8. God’s plan for us, and for this nation, is for good. Our sins remain,and we have said, as in 2Chro7:14, we repent, we turn from our wicked ways. In reality, even Christians, yes, those elected officials who also claim to be(as well as many born again Christians), have NOT forsaken their sinful ways. No longer can closed doors hide the truth. God knows the heart. God is just. His timing is perfect. And His ways aren’t our ways. But He knows what we’ve failed to do, and until we actually repent, as a nation of Christians, we may have to see just how awful a godless world can be. Jesus,in Your Mercy, help each of us, especially the church, to turn away from the world and turn our hearts to You. Thank You, Jesus, for hearing the cries of this nation and protecting us.

    Amen! 43
  9. Thank you Lord for the Freedom you have granted us! We thank you !! Your mercy snd grace endure Forever and Ever! We ask that you never leave us nor forsake as. We like Moses say Lord if you don’t go before us we don’t want to go. We want you to be with us to live and reign with us. We ask that your supernatural power be with us and that millions would now come to know you. Let YOUR kingdom come on EARTH as it is in HEAVEN! FORGIVE us ALL our sins please Lord FORGIVE all our sins as a country we ask !
    and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from all evil !!
    The Blood of Jesus covers us the people and it covers our country. No weapon formed against us shall prosper snd every tongue that rises up against us you shall condemn this is the inheritance of the saints. We declare and degree all these things in the mighty name of Jesus!

    Amen! 39
  10. It could be the last day of freedom for the United States with the biggest fraud and stealing of the highest position in the country the presidency. The Chinese Communists and Italian Socialists have helped bringing in the Democratic nominee in VP Joe Biden a known liar and poor representative from Delaware. His VP pick is the most leftist Kamela Harris who raised money to free the looters and criminals in Seattle and Portland. Another who like Harris debated against Biden top socialist Bernie “Everything is for Free” Sanders brings his policy in to make sure taxes get increased like never before.

    Amen! 26
  11. Thank you Heavenly Father,
    for creating this Nation to be a Light to other Countries and Nations of this World! To have Religious Freedom is a Gift from Your Hand! Please forgive Us for taking this for granted!
    As Christ Followers, we choose to Repent! May we be more determined to point others to Your Son Jesus! For He is The Light of The World!
    May we walk in this Freedom of Truth each day you have given US!! In Jesus Name. Amen.

    Amen! 43
  12. Lord, forgive us for the freedoms we have so taken for granted. Let us be so thankful that it is because of Your stirring of those who have gone before to bring freedoms to our land. We praise You Gracious Father, Savior Lord Jesus and helper Holy Spirit.

    Amen! 36
  13. Father, thank You Lord Jesus, for the freedom that we have to worship You. Thank You for the gift that You’ve given to us that You who the Son sets free is free indeed. I pray Father, that this freedom will continue in these United States. We do not take it for granted.

    Amen! 45
  14. Thank you Abba Father for my faith in your son Jesus Christ and his atonement for my sins at the cross. Because of his sacrifice, I have a freedom that no government can take away from me. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Light. He will return and receive us unto himself that where he is we will be also! I will lean not on my own understanding of what’s going on in the world but rest peacefully know our Lord’s is in full control and will work all things together for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes for them.

    Amen! 45
