Lord God, its devastating that abortion has become an acceptable choice in todays society. Please stop the enemy’s lies from seeping into the minds of the confused and take away the voice of the wicked.

An NAACP leader refused to acknowledge unborn babies as human beings who deserve civil rights in December when she described abortion as a “fundamental right.”

Though abortion kills more African Americans than any other cause, the NAACP has promoted it for years in contradiction to its civil rights work.

NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund president Sherrilyn Ifill reminded Americans of its pro-abortion stance when she criticized the Mississippi solicitor general for comparing abortion to racial segregation, according to the Daily Beast.

The comments that upset Ifill so much came from Mississippi Solicitor General Scott Stewart and several U.S. Supreme Court justices when Mississippi urged the court to overturn Roe v. Wade on Dec. 1…

Ifill slammed the comparison of the two cases, ignoring how both denied individual rights to historically oppressed groups of human beings.

“An accurate command of American history makes clear that there is and should be no comparison between Roe and Plessy…” she responded in a statement. “Roe recognized a fundamental right; Plessy was an affront to the very idea of universal individual rights and equality in the United States.”

Ifill continued, “While Roe recognized that the liberty protected by the federal Constitution includes the right of women to access abortion care, Plessy endorsed and upheld a racial apartheid system that denied the equality, dignity, and humanity of Black people in the United States.”

What she failed to recognize is that Roe also denies the humanity of people – children of all races and colors in the womb — and allows them to be aborted for basically any reason up to birth. Since 1973, about 63 million unborn babies have been aborted, approximately 20 million of whom were black.

Father, in the name of Jesus, how can a person who has been allowed the right to live deny one of life who has no ability to speak for himself/herself. Father God, please place a softness of heart in these individuals who believe it is their choice to take a life. Save a Life today. Amen.

Speaking as a black woman, my prayer is that my race will not only wake up to our sin in embracing abortion but that we will lead the charge in reversing Roe vs. Wade.

My heart cries for these moms and babies. I mourn for the lives taken. I’m praying for people who endorse abortion, may God wake you up through our prayers.
