I Prayed have prayed
Father, we thank You for correcting the Supreme Court's mistake and overturning Roe. We pray that You would empower our leaders to continue the fight against abortion on the state level.

Lawyers from Alliance Defending Freedom who served on Mississippi’s legal team shared this press release following the Dobbs decision.

From Alliance Defending Freedom. Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys who served on Mississippi’s legal team to defend Mississippi’s Gestational Age Act and helped state lawmakers draft it are hailing the U.S. Supreme Court’s historic ruling Friday upholding the law and reversing the court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. That decision fabricated a federal constitutional right to abortion and has resulted in the deaths of more than 60 million unborn children. States may now fully protect innocent, unborn life.

Post a prayer for your state!

The Mississippi law protects unborn children, the health of pregnant mothers, and the integrity of the medical profession based on the latest science. It protects unborn life after 15 weeks gestational age—a point in time when babies can move and stretch, hiccup, and quite likely feel pain—permitting abortions only in medical emergencies or for severe fetal abnormality.

“The Supreme Court’s decision is a major victory for unborn children and their mothers,” said ADF General Counsel Kristen Waggoner. “Laws across the country can now affirm that life is a human right and ensure women have greater access to the support and resources they need and deserve. We now turn to the states to ensure that unborn children and their mothers are protected from the gruesome reality of abortion, and that they receive the care and resources they need to flourish.”

“Mississippi asked the court to overturn Roe because that case was egregiously wrong and had no basis in constitutional text, structure, or history,” Waggoner explained. “Additionally, Roe’s changing standards have long been unworkable, which is why so many pro-life laws ended up in court. It also failed to account for changing science, which demonstrates that life begins at conception. Today is a day of celebration, but the battle continues, as states either respect or shirk their responsibility to protect the life and health of women and children.”

Roe was egregiously wrong from the start. Its reasoning was exceptionally weak, and the decision has had damaging consequences,” wrote the Supreme Court in its opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. “And far from bringing about a national settlement of the abortion issue, Roe and Casey have enflamed debate and deepened division. It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives. That is what the Constitution and the rule of law demand.”

“The Supreme Court has corrected a historically bad mistake in its precedent,” said ADF Senior Counsel Erin Hawley, who served as counsel to Mississippi in the case. “Today’s decision is a win for life and for the Constitution. There is not, and has never been, a constitutional right to take the life of an innocent, unborn child.”

The United States has been an extreme outlier in abortion law and policy, allowing late-term abortions and failing to protect the lives and health of unborn children and their mothers. Specifically, the U.S. has been one of only six nations—including China and North Korea—that allows abortion-on-demand throughout all nine months of pregnancy, and one of only eight countries in the world that allows elective abortion past 20 weeks. The U.S. has ranked in the bottom 4% of the most appalling abortion policies in the world. Mississippi’s decision to protect life after 15 weeks is consistent with what most countries worldwide do. In fact, 75% of nations protect life after 12 weeks’ gestation.

Even abortion advocates criticized the Roe decision. The late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg called it an “unnecessary” decision and a “heavy-handed judicial intervention” that wrongly halted a political process.

This is the 49th year of Roe and of killing millions of babies. In the Bible, the 50th year is the year of JUBILEE when EVERYTHING is restored to its rightful owner! So GOD is restoring life to America; as well as restoring power back to the states and the people! Hallelujah! Time for Education and Health Care and many other things that the federal government has taken away from the states to be restored to the states and to the people! The United States is a group of states that created the federal government, not the federal government created states. I urge everyone to get a free Constitution and read it to see how our country was intended to operate. FATHER GOD please restore America to the Constitutional intent of the Founders! Please continue to protect the Supreme Court Justices and their families from all harm in JESUS MIGHTY NAME! Amen!

2 Corinthians 6:1-2 As God’s fellow workers, then, we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For He says: “In the time of favor I heard you and in the day of salvation I helped you. ”Behold, now is the time of favor; now is the day of salvation!”

Psalm 69:13 But my prayer to You, O LORD, is for a time of favor. In Your abundant loving devotion, O God, answer me with Your sure salvation.

Psalm 90:17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish for us the work of our hands—yes, establish the work of our hands!

Isaiah 49:8-9,15 This is what the LORD says: “In the time of favor I will answer You and in the day of salvation I will help You; I will keep You and appoint You to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land, to apportion its desolate inheritances, to say to the prisoners, “Come out”and to those in darkness, “Show yourselves…” “Can a woman forget her nursing child, or lack compassion for the son of her womb? Even if she could forget, I will not forget you!”

Dear Heavenly Father, I praise You for You are abundant in loving devotion and Your compassion is immeasurable. I believe You have ushered in this time of favor. I believe this victory is due to the work of Kristen Waggoner and an army of others…You know each contributor intimately… You established the works of their hands. I pray Your abundant favor for those who remain in the grip of darkness. I pray they will hear Your voice as You command them to, “come out, show yourselves.” May they know their day of salvation has come and praise You. May they give You praise and honor as they realize You NEVER forgot them. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ, the Author of Salvation. Amen

This is big for our country. Only a few nations allow ending of life intentionally. That should tell us something. The Roe v Wade decision opened wide the door for big government to expand and take more liberties. Big spending and big lies. Thou shall not bear face witness applies to politicians too. Let’s pray supposed leaders that should be smart enough to understand calling for uprising isn’t the route to take. Evil begets evil. God’s love is the path I choose. Let’s elect leaders with honor and decency and no self centered agendas.
