As the race for House speaker enters its final hours, McCarthy still has not received the support he needs. Let’s pray that God’s chosen candidate would be elected today at noon.
From Fox News. House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy has already claimed the choicest piece of real estate on Capitol Hill, having moved into the speaker’s office just recently vacated by Democrat Nancy Pelosi.

Unfortunately for McCarthy, Pelosi is not the one who signs the deed. That right belongs to the majority of lawmakers who will convene Tuesday at noon and vote for speaker. Additionally, with perhaps more than a dozen Republicans refusing to sign on, McCarthy can measure the drapes all he wants, but he does not hold title to the space. …
If everyone is present, McCarthy will need 218 votes. Republicans will seat 222 lawmakers, so McCarthy can leave only four GOP minds unchanged.
The conference will meet at 9:30 a.m., likely to hear McCarthy’s final appeal.
McCarthy has long been viewed with suspicion by some conservatives. It was members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus who caused him to stand down in 2015, when he was expected to replace John Boehner as speaker. They viewed McCarthy as a politician whose heart belongs to the Washington establishment, the ruling elite who for decades have defied conservative efforts to stem the relentless expansion of the federal government. It is lawmakers from the same caucus who are literally barring the door to McCarthy’s ascension to power, despite years of effort by the Californian to prove he was one of them. …
Some Republicans are threatening to join with Democrats if McCarthy does not prevail and elect a “moderate.” McCarthy’s allies have held up the prospect of the Democratic candidate, Hakim Jeffries, sneaking in with a majority of the vote as Republicans devour their own. …

I always liked Kevin McCarthy. I did pray if he wouldn’t do a good job, let someone else do the job. It’s my understanding that because Kevin McCarthy didn’t fight this last enormous spending bill that the congressional reps don’t want him. They want people to undo the mess we’ve had under Nancy Pelosi and get that debt paid down.
O Lord. I ask that the House have a representative that will fulfill the will and ways of You Lord, We are tired of the fighting. We want a man or woman of faith that will work for the good of the nation and the people. We are so broken. I pray for healing for our country and that will start with people of faith and strength. Send the Holy Spirit to move in the house and turn the hearts of the people toward You for Your Glory and honor. We pray for a difference. We bind the lies and strongholds that have been operating in our government in Jesus Name. I loose the will and Word of the Lord to operate in their hearts and minds. Amen
Father, we know that the effectiveness of the House in addressing injustices and lies these past years is in the balance now with the process and outcome of who is chosen for House Speaker. May your choice be selected.
Its frightening how internally fragmented americas entire system is..how entrenched the roots of evil are…why would The Lord desire a male version of Pelosi at the helm?..Maybe as punishment.

May God give us a strong Christian majority leader of the House of that will truly represent the Republicans true Christian conservative values. The power and values off ALL the people should be represented. More state and local government, please Lord, and less Federal control over which we’re not allowed to have our rightful say!! May our Declaration of Independence Constitution and Bill of Rights be read, known by the people, and honored. Our country is of God. It was uniquely created by God. It is GOOD!! Why do so many people from all over the world want to come here ??? God’s will prevail in this land. AMEN!! 🙏
Now is not the time for Republicans to be infighting. The reason Demcrats have done so much damage is that they get their people to all vote, with the exception of a few . Republicans just cant seem to do that. Kevin McCarthy has likely made some wrong decisions in the past, as many others have. It may be that they should take this dog fight off the floor, elect McCarthy and get the job done that we sent them to do. Then with Kevin smarting from this fight, he will likely be very conscience of the decisions he makes going forward , and in then in 2024 they can elect someone else as Speaker. But lets just move on, can we please?
Threatening Kevin McCarthy with taking their vote to a Democrat leader will hurt the country, which will hurt believers. Is that what we want? Unity is important now. Not threatening. That is the Spirit of Satan, not of God. What is their agenda, really? And they so certain they know his heart? Are people not allowed to change and see the light?
This vote is historical. For the first time since 1923 there were not enough votes to declare a winner for Speaker of the House. So it has gone into a second round of voting. Please pray for the vote which is going on now. Father God, we declare your favor and blessing over House, that YOU would put a leader in place who will uphold Your principles and truth. That the hard won efforts of so many, which you have blessed with positions in the House, will be given a leader who will pursue the truth & release America from the radical agenda which has been pressed upon us. We praise You and Thank you, that we are in Your hands, as you set up rulers, and take them down. By the mighty power of Jesus Name, we say AMEN!
Lord we need people who will follow your will as speaker. I pray that the person you want is placed in this position.

Lord, we ask for spirit of truth, righteousness and the spirit of the fear of the Lord be restored in this nation. We pray for spirit of unity among the Republicans, please intervene Lord Jesus, please raise up strong, courageous, God fearing leaders in the Congress and Senate.

Not knowing him personally, I question his morality! Coming from California,unmarried, living with Frank Luntz as a “Roommate?” We have compromised too much already! “Gay Groomers” are a part of the LGBTQ…PANDORA BOX! There is not one doubt in my heart where McCarthy stands. He will not touch on the living with Luntz subject. Trust me, that “Q” stands for “QUEER!” Because it does I stand against anything supporting the LGBTQIA+! Too much perversive darkness there! I had no idea that “unclean spirit” is mentioned so often! Philippians 2:15 encourages us to prove ourselves to be blameless and innocent Children of GOD above reproach in the midst of a crooked and Perverse generation, among whom you Appear as LIGHTS IN THE WORLD! {NASV} I personally believe when we compromise with Politician who have Agendas, we lose our Rights, one proposal/passed Bill at a time!
Dear God our Lord and Father, You see perfectly what is happening in our country. No intention or plan can be hidden, You see clearly. I pray unity in this upcoming vote. I pray You will line up the thinking and the best person will win. Please Father, give us a victory in this selection, one that will benefit our country.
