9,000 NYC Workers, Including Firefighters and Officers, on Unpaid Leave Over Mandate: Mayor’s Office triggering concerns about shortages of firefighters, EMS workers, and police officers.
- Data released by the mayor’s office on Sunday night said that about 22,800 municipal workers are not vaccinated.
- Mayor de Blasio: More than half of the workers who haven’t been vaccinated yet have submitted exemption requests and those requests are being processed.
- New York City’s fire chief, Daniel Nigro, said that the increase in sick calls are “related to protests against the mandate, it’s obvious.” He added: “Generally 200 people come into our medical office every day, in this past week, it’s been 700 a day. Most, the majority of them, are unvaccinated. This is completely unacceptable.”

Father God, please bless to the fullest degree these employees who are standing up for bodily autonomy.
We have seen the 22-month progression of 2 weeks lockdown to flatten the curve become mandates to inject a technology into adults and even children without adequate clinical safety trials.
We know that medical coercion in the past was a slippery slope which headed toward eugenics and sterilization of “undesirables”, not only in Nazi Germany, but also in the United States as witnessed in Buck vs. Bell at the Supreme Court.
We are crying out to You in the name of Jesus. O God, “Stop the madness!”
Restore truth and justice to our nation. Have mercy because of Your faithfulness which endures through all generations. Amen.
