The “defund the police” movement began in Minneapolis in 2020 after the murder of George Floyd, and on Tuesday (November 2, 2021) the city’s voters will decide if they also want to end policing as we know it.
Ballot Question 2 would amend its city charter to “remove the Police Department” and replace it with a Department of Public Safety. The measure is backed by the state ACLU, the Sierra Club and local unions, and polling suggests the vote may be close. . . .
The ballot measure would eliminate from the city charter all requirements for a chief of police and minimum levels of police funding. A commissioner nominated by the mayor and approved by the City Council would lead the new department.. . .
Criminals won’t be unhappy. Violent crime in the city is up nearly 30% this year compared to the first 10 months of 2019. The city has had 78 homicides this year, compared to 48 in the entirety of 2019.
The police department has lost about a third of its sworn officers. It now takes about 15 minutes to respond to a 911 call . . .

Dear Heavenly Father, I ask and pray for protection over our Police Officers. Lord, I also rejoice because yesterday’s verdict proved that most people do NOT want the Police Dept. defunded. Thank You for that Father. It sent a clear message, and I’m glad this proposal was rejected by most Minneapolis residents. Praise God!! In Jesus Holy and Merciful Name, Amen!
George Floyd was not “murdered”. He had enough Fentynal in his system to kill a city block. The officer was railroaded and I continue to pray for him and his family
Oh, Father, the foolishness of ignoring the sinful state of mankind, thinking if all was right in society we would have no crime. Open the eyes of our elected officials. Protect those who will be harmed by no policemen. Open the people’s hearts to you that you may work a miracle in our nation.
Heavenly Father, our all-seeing God. Thank you for drawing our prayerful attention to the city of Minneapolis. Lord we repent for the corruption and crime that has invaded our country’s Police forces which, by your Word, are appointed to do us good. We ask for Godly reformatiom.
Changing the Police force fuction will not necessarily eliminate the “bad apples” within or necessarily lower the crime rate in our cities. We ask for a move of God to instead, remove criminal police and evil practices and replace them with those who would do us good in our current Police model.
Father. I am grieved about the loss of George Floyd’s life and the manner of death in the hands of corrupt cops. We repent for not watching and praying as this corrupt behavior from within the Police has repeated itself in other cities besides Minneapolis and has taken place and covered up for years. Father would you cleanse our Police forces. forgive them for years of allowing corruption, mostly gone unnoticed by the general public, and restore Godly authority back to good policemen and police leadership. I pray in Jesus heart of compassion and desire to restore justice to our laws and those in public service who enforce our laws in all our cities of America.

We do not need to defund the police department. I will be praying that the agenda of the enemy comes to nothing. Yes, there are some corrupt police officers and they need to be dealt with individually and not get rid of all police. Some police don’t know their calling. they are called to . Romans 13:3a;4a states, rulers are not terror to good works. For he is God’s minister to you for good.
Dear Lord God I pray that you move your Holy Spirit upon Minnesota to have a reversal of their thinking and to embrace the idea of having police forces throughout the state to build protection for the people. Thank you.

Lord, have mercy and open eyes and ears to Truth, about the “defending the police” agenda. Let the residents of Minneapolis have a holy fear and draw the line. Let revival come to Minneapolis! Encourage, strengthen and supernaturally protect the officers tirelessly working to keep Minneapolis safe. In Jesus name, Amen.

scary!…all the lives that police officers have saved from death and great dangers. Many dying every other day in the line of duty. Where is the outrage about their lives, their families, children, friends,communities, losing them. It is okay for stores being robbed until they are forced to close and find a way to support their families. Everyday law abiding there are people being attacked, ripped out of their cars by hyjackers, some with their children in them, some killed just sitting in their car! We must not trust social workers to replace our police officers who cannot even figure out how to tackle drugs, homeless, sex trafficking and domestic violence.
Dear Lord open our eyes and wisdom concerning our protection from the enemy and lead us to vote for people who care and enforce good laws.
as we intercessors pray, let’s speak His name over this vote… JESUS!! let’s pray for the rebuking of satan and his minions…!! JESUS..!!! His will be done today… JESUS.!! there’s power in HIS NAME… JESUS… JESUS… JESUS…!!!!!
Almighty God, Omnipotent Father, we call upon your name of mercy this morning Nov 2-2021. Have mercy on our fellow Americans to see the truth of our enemy is waiting in the shadows to fill the void if the police are replaced by foreign terrorists whose desire is the devil’s, steal, kill & destroy.
Open eyes and minds to Jesus, the Way, the Truth, the Life.
Father, You are Sovereign. You know the end from the beginning. Thank You Holy Spirit takes these groans into Your throne room of heaven. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In the name of Jesus Christ , Amen
This specific battlefield needs our reenforcement today!! We must stop this idea before it spreads any further . Father we pray for the believers of this city that your heavenly hosts would camp round about them and that the rest of America will see the folly of this ridiculous notion.. we pray and believe in our Jesus precious name!!!
