Clay Bentley deeply believes God saved him from dying of COVID. But even more, he believes God will protect him again if he doesn’t get a COVID vaccine.
“God hasn’t told me to take a vaccine,” he said. “He’s told me to keep my faith in Him.”
Bentley, 60, was one of the first Georgians to be sickened with COVID. . . .
“They locked me in a room I couldn’t get out of,” he remembered. “When they came into see me they were dressed in these wild suits.” . . .
His lungs had filled with fluid. Doctors told him he’d likely be put on a ventilator the next morning.
“So during the night it got really heavy and I got to the point where I couldn’t breathe at all,” Bentley said. “And I felt the Lord. I felt God blowing my lungs. And what happened when he blew in my lungs, I felt all that fluid just leave.”
A few days later, Bentley would go home and, after quarantine, re-enter a world that had been transformed. . . .
A year later, Bentley says tests still show his body carries some antibodies. . . .
“I personally don’t think they know enough about these vaccines for me to feel safe in taking them,” Bentley said.
He’s willing to take a chance of getting sick again versus willing to take a chance of getting a side effect from the vaccine.
“That’s right,” he agreed. “But I will say this. I’m a man of faith. And I know if God brought me through it the first time, he’ll bring me through it again.” . . .
A Kaiser Family Foundation poll found 28% of white Evangelical Christians say they are definitely not getting the COVID vaccine, the largest demographic resistant to vaccinations. Like Bentley, they are putting their faith in God to keep them safe.
But there’s a second number: 95%.
That’s how many evangelical Christian ministers say they are getting vaccinated.
The president of the Southern Baptist Convention J.D. Greear tweeted a selfie of his vaccination. Franklin Graham has advocated for COVID shots. So has mega-church pastor Dr. Robert Jeffress of Dallas, TX.
“We were praying for an end to this pandemic and I saw this vaccine as an answer to that prayer,” explained Jeffress. . . .
“There’s this gap that’s opened between the biblically appointed and responsible leaders of the church and all these other voices which primarily come from the outside,” Chang told the FOX 5 I-Team. “Outside secular, anti-vaxxer or conspiracy theorists that are coming in and, in that Biblical passage of John 10, coming in like wolves and thieves from the outside to steal and destroy the flock.”
The way Chang and other evangelical leaders see it, God inspired scientists to invent the vaccines needed to bring the pandemic to an earlier end.
“This doesn’t have to be an either/or,” he insisted. “Either science or God. If we really believe in a God that created the entire universe, this is the God who created science.” . . .
“We’ve got to open up our minds to the range of truths, and the right truths, especially reliable truths and reliable voices so that when we pray we’re hearing through the right channels,” said Chang.
But in the end, he agrees it’s a personal decision for each Christian. . . .
Clay Bentley still struggles with fatigue. But to mark the one-year anniversary of his miraculous recovery, he and his wife spent two weeks traveling by RV through Arizona, Utah, and California. . . .
He says he would not discourage anyone from being vaccinated. But his turn, he believes, has not yet come.
“If He tells me to take a vaccine at a later date, I’ll do it,” Bentley stressed. “At his Word. He’s going to take care of me. You won’t see me in the hospital.”
That’s his promise based solely on his faith. . . .

Our Almighty God, from whom nothing is hidden, has said that if we abide in His word we shall be His disciples, and we shall know the truth, and that truth shall make us free.
The truth is that these vaccines have NOT been “approved” by the FDA, only “authorized” by them, under Emergency Use Authorization.
That EUA has only been issued because, they say, there is a “pandemic” (there is actually a 98-99% recovery rate from COVID, for all ages) and “there is no other means of stopping it besides a vaccine” (yet, the excellent success rates of using hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin, for example, in early stages, are being censored – why?).
The truth is that long term human safety studies on these vaccines have, quite obviously, NOT been done. In fact, we are told that the safety trials will conclude in two more years.
Does this tell us that the human “safety studies” are actually being conducted on those who are taking the vaccines right now?
Do most vaccine recipients know that they are actually accepting an experimental product?
How is this compatible with the Nuremberg code which prohibits use of experimental products without informed consent?
The truth is, according to CDC’s own numbers, through their Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) that, between Dec 14, 2020 and April 23, 2021 there have been 118,902 adverse events after taking a COVID vaccine. Within this number of adverse events, which are starting to be heard, there have also been many deaths.
Specifically, 329 deaths as of 1-22-21; 501 deaths as of 1-29-21; 653 deaths as of 2-4-21; 3,544 deaths as of 4-23-21.
If actual long term PRE-rollout human safety trials had been conducted, would the studies have been continued, with this number of fatalities, at least half of which have occurred within 24 hours of taking the shot?
Why is vaccine acceptance currently being pushed? Why is the wisdom of many counselors being censored?
Another truth, from CDC figures as of 2-4-21, there had been 12,697 adverse reactions from the COVID vaccine (including 653 deaths), out of 35 million doses administered. Meanwhile, out of 193.6 million flu shots given for the 20-21 season, only 20 had died. So, how safe are these COVID vaccines?
Why is it that so many, who have already been vaccinated, are now being sickened by COVID?
What is the meaning of terms we hear from vaccine companies such as “Experimental” or “Operating System” when used to define their vaccines?
Do we not already have an effective operating system, installed when we were fearfully and wonderfully knit together in our mother’s wombs? Just who would want to alter it?
Why do the goal posts keep moving, so that one vaccine will allow a return to normal? No, two? No, boosters every 6 months? No, boosters every year? No, even if you ARE vaccinated, you must still wear a mask? No, two masks? No, two masks even outside? No, even infants must wear a mask?
How is this compatible with the truth that we were made in the very image of God? Who would want to hide His image?
What about Mask Induced Exhaustion Syndrome? Some symptoms are obviously reduced blood oxygen saturation, increased heart rate, decreased cardio pulmonary capacity, shortness of breath, headache and dizziness, increased blood carbon dioxide, decreased skin barrier function – including acne/itching/skin lesions, decreased empathy perception, drowsiness, feeling of dampness, feeling of exhaustion, etc
How is any of this compatible with the truth that God breathed into us His very own breath to give us life? Don’t we want to live in His fullness? Or how is it compatible with His command not to quench the Spirit?
How is agreeing to vaccines, masks, etc compatible with God’s true Word that HE has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind?
So where has this spirit of fear come from?
Has not our God commanded us – more often than any other command – do not fear!
Has not our living Lord Jesus, before whom EVERY knee will bow, assured us that if we abide in His word, we shall be His disciples, and we shall know the truth, and the truth shall make us free?
Do we trust His word? Do we walk in the light of His truth? Do we speak and act on His truth in love?
Dear Lord, we believe; help our unbelief!
I would like to say that as a child of God through the Lord Jesus Christ, I STILL have a mind to think with and consider the SCIENTIFIC data to determine what is best for me and society at large along with my faith in God. I have a “gay” friend who says, “You believe in God, I believe in the science…” yada yada in regards to his getting the “so called” vaccine. I reply that I absolutely DO believe in the science! The scientists behind the Great Barrington Declaration, Dr. Scott Atlas, Dr. Erickson of California, Dr. Gould and the Doctors on the Front Lines and significant others. They are being censored. (Doesn’t that tell you something?!) I’ve heard enough to SCIENTIFICALLY determine with my own God-given mind, whose Holy Spirit gives us a “sound mind”, that the SCIENCE demonstrates that the risk of death and/or serious illness from the SARS CoV 2 virus is relatively low when we have no comorbidities. The measures taken to “mitigate” it have been completely overblown and have done greater harm to society at large than the virus itself. THEREFORE, I don’t feel I SCIENTIFICALLY have any great need to get the vaccine. IF! someone feels themselves particularly vulnerable to this virus, there are measures that they should take to protect themselves. I do NOT think that the SCIENCE has demonstrated that ASYMPTOMATIC people who may carry the virus are indeed contagious. As Dr. Erickson says, “An asymptomatic person is a HEALTHY person!”. SCIENCE has shown that there are very effective “therapies” to treat the infected person if they do contract the virus. Yet many of those therapies are censored! (Doesn’t that tell you something?!)
Most of this boils down to the SCIENTIFICALLY demonstrated fact that the PCR test is NOT a SCIENTIFICALLY viable test for positive cases of the SARS CoV 2. The administrators of the test should detail the Cycle Threshold (CT rate) of the test. Anything over a 17,500 CT is considered grossly exaggerated in determining infection from the SARS CoV2 virus. But the testing centers do not disclose the CT threshold that they use. (Doesn’t that tell you something?!)
When I first heard Dr. Fauci say on one of those news conferences that the Trump administration was so valiantly doing back in March and April of 2020, and that we in my household were so earnestly listening, “Nothing will get us out of this except a vaccine”, I immediately thought to myself, “What a Godless statement that is!”. God Himself says “If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, then I will hear their prayer from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land.” He did it in the past without a vaccine. He can do it again without a vaccine. The SCIENCE is out there to research. Please, brothers and sisters, due your due diligence and investigate, just as the Jews in Berea did when they heard Paul preach. God is good!
I pray for those who have received the vaccine. It has not been effectively tested for me to take it. There are too many unknowns and too many things in the vaccine (like mRNA) that can cause problems down the line. Need to listen the the America’s Frontline Doctors including Dr. Christiane Northrop and Dr. Sherri Tennpenny. They are telling the truth about the vaccine.
Many years ago, when I was pregnant with my first child, I was in a secret place time with the Lord when He cut across my thoughts with this statement:’If I am your healer, do not inject disease into you body.’I was startled and did not understand. I contacted my spiritual mom – same one who trained me up using Derek Prince materials – who promptly days, ‘Well, that is what vaccines are!’ A deep peace settled over me and I never vaccinated myself or my kids since then. This was not a political or even a medical decision but one to hear and obey God’s voice. It still holds true today. We must hear Him and obey and give each other that freedom.
Covid and governmental decisions has split communities both secular and Christian. I, for one, am not about to take the vaccine and refuse to be dictated to by tin pot dictatorial politicians. If the Lord says to do it I will, but until that time, if it ever arrives, I absolutely refuse to go that route. God created our bodies with amazing recuperative powers and the ability to create antibodies. He also holds the time of life and death in His hands.
My trust is in the Lord and Lord I pray that this schism in the country, and the world, will dissipate as Covid loses it’s power of fear over the people. Amen. Come into this place Lord Jesus, come.
