This tragic story involves a man admitting to running over and killing a teenager he called a “Republican extremist.” Intercessors, what is the Lord speaking to you about the political hatred and violence brewing in our nation? Please share your prayers and insight in the comments.

From The Daily Wire. The 41-year-old man who allegedly admitted to murdering a Republican teenager over politics at the start of the week said this week in court that he did not want to lose things in his life due to bond because of the charges.

Shannon Brandt was charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a crash involving a death after he allegedly hit and killed Cayler Ellingson on Sunday in McHenry, a small town two hours northwest of Fargo, North Dakota. He posted bond on Tuesday. …

Citing court documents, WDAY reported that Brandt told police the death stemmed from an argument over politics. …

Brandt called 911 around 2:30 a.m. Sunday and told a dispatcher he had run down Ellingson, the site reported, citing a criminal complaint. Brandt, who police say was drunk, claimed Ellingson was part of a “Republican extremist group” and was urging others to attack Brandt after a political argument. …

Prosecutors allege Ellingson called his mom moments before he was killed to say Brandt, who she knows, was chasing him after an event described as a street dance. …

The attack comes just a couple of weeks after President Joe Biden declared that “MAGA Republicans,” or people who support former President Donald Trump, represented “an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.”

Why does this act of murder not fall under “hate crimes”? Could it be that conservatives are fair game for anyone who wants them eliminated. Laws are certainly not enforced equally.

Language plays such an important role in determining our thoughts and consequently our actions. Labeling people or groups of people in particular ways then makes it “ok” to kill them because they are the “enemy” and this is “war.” Our media fuels hate and division by putting this rhetoric and these labels out there, and now the president of our country calls a whole group of people the “enemy” essentially, giving permission for things like this to happen. This is exactly what happened to the Jews in Nazi Germany, they were labeled then killed. This is a sad, tragic outcome in a country where we used to be free to hold an opinion that differed from the opinions of others. Now there is only one acceptable narrative and all other voices are being silenced. (cancelling, FBI raids, de-platforming, arresting) When times are tough, as they are now, people look for someone to blame and take their anger and frustration out on, murders like this are the result. Our government needs to keep us angry at and hating each other, so we will not turn our attention to those in power and what they are actually doing, their policies, which are allowing crime to increase, prices to increase, illegal immigration to continue and increase, while our freedoms, such as free speech and gun ownership, are being curtailed and decreasing. If this had been the other way round, it would be all over the news continuously. Lord, we pray Your comfort for the family who has lost their child and for ourselves that we would overcome evil with good, that we would not be controlled by hateful speech, nor by lies, but by Your living words of truth – let those light our way and lead us out of this place where lies and deception have led us. You alone are our hope. http://www.mtothe5th.wordpress.com

We, the ekklesia, are the gatekeepers in the nation. Father, forgive us, Your ekklesia,to whom You gave all authority, for opening the door to divisive spirits. We have sinned and have not maintained the bond of the unity of peace amongst ourselves. As goes the church, so goes the nation! Cleanse us from all unrighteousness amd help us to rebuild the wall of unity around the nation

So many people are absolutely blinded to the enemies actions and tactics and allow such demonic control in their lives.

Lord Brandt must face the consequences of his actions. It is harrowing to see news like this and it’s frequency. I pray the blinders will be lifted off eyes so they can see the truth above all the lies and deceit that we are being bombarded with and that is so prevalent today.

I pray for Cayler’s family that you would bring them comfort at this difficult time of grieving. Surround them with your goodness and with your angels.

Biden, Schumer, Pelosi, Harris, some senators and representatives, the leftist media, and many other radical leftist democrats in and out of government are responsible for serial lying to the American people and laying the groundwork for these kinds of attacks on citizens , judges, and leaders of the opposition— opposition to their gross malfeasance and malicious governance against the people of the US.

He destroyed a life & I’m sure left a family devastated. He should spend years in prison. What gives him the right to go on with his life after deliberately destroying someone else life. Biden is not helping because in his book/speech Republicans are extremist. They are so blinded!! The occurrence is different but Trump is totally blamed for Jan.6, why shouldn’t Biden be blamed for pushing hatred in this nation & political divide.

So much for the home of free speech. I say throw the book at him. He willfully wanted to destroy someone else’s life. Take his as a correct punishment.

Our nation is being held in the devil’s grasp by left wing extremists. We must stand strong for right wing rights. After all, “right” is already in our name..

What a shocking, heartless, demented act by a mean drunk.

Praying for the young victim’s family and friends in their hour of need, in Jesus’ Precious Name.
