Are you fed up with watching the wicked in America seemingly get away with everything? If so, it’s time to join with other believers in faith, asking God—in the words of King David—to return the violent dealings of the wicked upon their own heads.
The law of sowing and reaping is a universal, natural law that applies even to politics in the USA.
As Galatians 6:7-8 tells us:
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”
In the United States today, in many areas, we are reaping the chaos that the unholy alliance of corrupt politicians, lying media, and worshippers of darkness have sown. However, although it may appear that the wicked ones get a free pass to do anything they want, God’s Word says it isn’t so.
The Bible tells us that the plots of the wicked will return upon their own heads.
As it says in Psalm 7:14-16:
“Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity; yes, he conceives trouble and brings forth falsehood. He made a pit and dug it out, and has fallen into the ditch which he made. His trouble shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down on his own crown.”
When a person’s crimes and plots return upon their own heads, the world calls it “what goes around comes around.” However, in the Kingdom, we have a better name for it: the law of sowing and reaping. And this law, which works every time, is a powerful weapon in our prayer arsenal if we remember to get it out and use it.
Here’s how to pray for the troubles of the wicked to return upon their own heads:
- Identify the specific plot you are praying about; don’t pray vaguely if you can help it.
- Point out to the Lord that His own Word requires the wicked seed sown to bring the sower an evil harvest.
- Ask the Lord to expose the wicked deed about which you are praying. Remember that there’s nothing hidden which shall not be revealed, and nothing secret that shall not be made known.
- Ask Him to hold the people responsible accountable for their deeds.
- Ask Him to bring the plotters into the very consequence themselves that they tried to bring upon the righteous.
You can use this prayer sequence for anything evil. For example:
Praying about the Nashville bombing? Try praying this:
Lord, bring the plots of the wicked upon their own heads. Expose every piece of evidence the bombers tried to destroy, and give American communications companies the wisdom to implement plans that would keep communications outages from EVER happening again.
Praying about the Epstein/Maxwell pedophilia ring? Pray like this:
Lord, expose what was done and bring the pain they brought upon others onto their own heads. Completely annihilate and decimate their reach, their influence, their finances, and their relationships. Remove every resource from them that they used to hurt people, and let them never hurt another soul again. Let the shame and pain of their actions toward others fall upon their own heads.
Praying about voter fraud? Try:
Lord, let the perpetrators of the fraud lose all political power. In Jesus’ name, we pray:
- Let their staff defect to the side of righteousness.
- Let credible whistleblowers come forth and bring evidence to the courts to defend righteous elections.
- Let the thieves lose every seat they tried to steal, and let them get righteously voted out of every seat they were legally voted into in past years.
- Dethrone every wicked governor and governmental figure, in Jesus’ name, and let their plots all come to nothing.
The law of sowing and reaping says that we don’t have to sit around and shake our heads at the plotting of the wicked.
Instead, we can and should pray, “Lord, whatever they try to do to You, let it happen to them instead.”
Are you ready to pray this? Let’s join together and pray as follows:
“Father God, we come to You in Jesus’ name.
Father, thank You for letting us boldly come before Your throne of grace, where we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. We thank You also that You are Lord of Heaven and earth, Father, and all power belongs to You. You alone lift up kings and bring them down, and You alone control the times and the seasons.
Father God, we believe the set time has come for You to be exalted in America. The time has come for the enemy to be debased.
To this end, Father, we pray today that the troubles of the wicked would return on their own heads. We lift up (insert specific situation) to You, and we ask:
- Let the power the wicked ones were seeking be completely taken from them and given to the righteous instead.
- Let the wealth of the wicked in this situation be turned and given into the hands of the righteous.
- Let any evidence the wicked were seeking to hide be fully exposed and revealed for all to see.
- Let the influence that the wicked people used to protect themselves be totally stripped from them.
- Let the wicked become odious in the sight of the people, the investigators and prosecutors, the public, the judges, the juries, and even the news media.
- Let every piece of positive press the wicked received be turned into negative press. Use the media against the wicked, instead of letting the wicked monopolize the media for their own ends.
- Let every bit of negative press that Your people have received be turned into positive, life-giving, true, fair media coverage.
Father, we ask You to embarrass the wicked ones with their own wickedness. Let the seeds they have sown return upon their own heads.
If it is possible for any of them to be saved, then use Your disciplinary process to save them. Bring them to repentance and cause them to make Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior through the process.
However, Lord, if any of the wicked are too far gone to accept You, having given themselves over to a degenerate mind, then we ask You to judge them and eliminate their ability to ever fight on the side of wickedness again, in Jesus’ name.
Father, You are the great God, Lord, and Judge of all the earth. It is into Your hands that we trust these things, and we ask that You would get glory from this disciplinary process against the wicked. Defend Your people and break the bows of Your enemies.
Thank You, Father. It’s in Jesus’ holy and precious name we pray. Amen.”
Beloved, God is a God of mercy—but He is also a God of war. He is the Lord of hosts, the God of armies. Let’s call on Him today as everything He is so we can see Him fight on our behalf.

Excellent article. Don’t just say “Isn’t it awful”. Pray that the wicked will very soon be brought down with the very trouble they brought upon the righteous. And the righteous be honored at last. In the book of Ester Haman built a gallows to hang Mordecai on. Haman himself was hanged on it and Mordecai was named the new Prime Minister.

I pray this daily and ask that they be delivered from the influences that drive them to hate and slander. I see them slipping on their lies, for lies cannot stand on truth. Then I see the finger of God, through my authority in Jesus Christ, pushing them down as they slip.
Confirmation we continue to call forth the reward of the wicked they are bent on evil and they shall reap their own reward while we are safe in the secret place,! Psalms 91 says 1,000 will fall at our left side and 10,000 at our right hand but it shall not come near us only with our eyes will we behold and see the reward of the wicked! We are to hide ourselves for a little while till the Lord’s wrath is passed by while he judges the wicked! He is coming down to disclose the blood that’s been shed!

I am so very thankful for this prayer guide which helps to return focus and powerful prayer unction to many of us who are so very, very tired, sad and hurting. We stand up and pray through this multiple times and plead with you Father in Heaven; reveal your strong arm on our behalf! Give wisdom and action steps for us to take out the vial wickedness from our Nation and pull them down even at 11:59. Cover our President and Vice President and place them in the White House for another 4 years! But too, we do acknowledge your time table is righteous and no matter what, Jesus is King and you Father are in control!
As God is my Witness, that is one glorious prayer ! It is full of Scripture, by which we plead with our Father to bring to pass in reality what He has commanded, and what He has promised. From beginning to end we find encouragement and exhortation for the timid, and we find warnings against over-exuberance (“Do not rejoice at your enemy’s fall.”) Thank you, Lord, for Jamie and her thoroughness.
It took me almost an hour to work my way through it, with many pauses for additions and clarifications. It was definitely worth it. My vision (of what is truly important to God in these matters) is much clearer, and the key points I must cover in praying for these things is more firmly established in my mind for further prayer. For the first time I realized that I MUST ask the Father to rain down Judgment, AND realize that I am subject to the same, to the extent I haven’t repented of those same wrong ways. Several times I had to pause, and ask the Holy Spirit to remind me of my faults and to cleanse my heart of unrighteous thoughts.
If you are serious about intercession regarding the entire evil Ugly State of national affairs, I recommend this prayer as a guide. And God grant us true Repentance. Glory be to Jesus!
I too had to stop several times to ask Father to search my heart and make known any sins I was hiding in my heart. I realized that I needed to change and add much of the media to this prayer for they are like false prophets who set us up for fear and lies instead of faith and truth.

The best lesson I learned this year (2020) is that ‘An attitude of repentance is always appropriate for a follower of Jesus’. I learned this from my old friend Job. Although he was described by God as “a perfect and upright man, who fears God and avoids evil”, he still had some of the most important lessons to learn. When he finally was favored with a glimpse of God Himself (Chapter 42:5 & 6), his response was, “I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes”. This discovery, and the fact that Job now prayed for his friends (vs 10), was the turning point of his life. God bless you, and “PWC”. (That’s Family shorthand for ‘pray without ceasing’.)

Jacquelyn, very well said. One part that I would encourage you to think differently on, the part where you say that what is happening in this country is none of your business but it most certainly is. The Lord would want you to fight for the liberties and freedoms in this country. Our jobs are to at least do our part in trying to stop the injustices in our own country. I feel it is also very important for Christians to vote and to write to their senators and representatives and to call them and to peacefully protest when necessary. We are responsible to a degree certainly for our own country. There is a scripture that talks about doing what we can and then just standing still and letting the Lord take care of the rest. The Lord does expect us to do something to keep our country on a righteous path but also expects us to let His will be done after we have done what we can as mere mortals. Think back to the founding of the United States of America, many of the founding fathers were Christian men but they still had to be totally involved in injustices and wickedness and fight for this country.
Let me make myself clear. When I say that ‘It is none of my business’ , I mean that God has the ultimate control. If I want to see God make a difference, I must pray His Word, no matter what I ask; He will not work aside of His Word. I am also reminded that God said the battle belongs to Him. All of us have our ‘likes and dislikes’, when it comes to our leaders and for sure many of us are disappointed as to where we are in America today. But, we have a tendency to point the finger when no one person is right all of the time: that would make him perfect, and no one is. God is the One Who raises kings ad deposes them. We have no say in the matter. We are in a terrible mess today. What he requires of us is to ‘do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God’. We are to pray for our enemies, bless and not curse them; not return evil for evil, etc. Yes, we are to be very concerned about who we vote for. BUT, as Christians, we should look at their character. We pray against one another instead of praying for one another. Are we really doing all we can so that God can do the rest? I wonder. We are to help the helpless, not degrade them. Jesus is our GREAT EXAMPLE. What are we, as Christians, looking for in our leaders? True, many of the founding fathers were Christian men, and many of the laws that were made were Biblical; they were being led by God. There was TRUTH in ‘One Nation under God.’
They esteemed God and gave Him the credit for all He was doing. What happened? Please tell me because I would like to know.
It’s a mess for sure but I believe the Lord allowed all that happened in 2020 as an awakening for this country. The first thing I would say about what happened is that we kicked God out of this country or at least allowed and tolerated it. I think we need to vote biblically not as much on character. In my own humble opinion I feel like the number one value we should vote on is whether a candidate is pro-life. Also the founding fathers had to go to actual physical war even though I’m sure that they were praying and turning to God for wisdom. I just feel like too many Christians do not vote or get involved in any grassroots efforts because they believe it’s all in God’s hands and ultimately it is but the Lord asks us to do our part too, we should be active in some form in the politics and government of our nation. One thing I can totally agree with you on is that we need to pray ceaselessly. God Bless!
True. Pro-life inside and outside the womb. One is just as important as the other. God does not separate the two. A person’s character is based on Biblical principles. God looks at the heart. This is what shows a man’s character. Integrity is another. Does a man keep his word? Can he be trusted in his dealings? These are very important to God. AMEN, Jamie!!! I prayed every one of the points in your letter very carefully. Oh my! There is SO much we are fighting – we can’t even imagine the depths to which it goes. But our Lord knows every bit of it and He is well able to expose it all and to do what we have asked in His Name – hallelujah – Praise The Lord!!! I was thinking about how God has often dealt with wicked people who will not repent: He either turned them on each other so they destroyed each other, or He sent an angel to kill them. God, I pray for the United States election results that will soon be before the Congress. I pray for Vice President Pence, that you will guide him as he presides over the joint congress, as the election results will be discussed. I pray for our representatives to be bold and for the truth to come out about any fraud, schemes or illegal votes cast. I pray that the representatives will not be able to spew “their talking points” or distract from the facts presented, I pray that the citizens of this country hear the facts and that they would ring loudly as the truth comes out. Stop the lying commentators from speaking. I PRAY THAT THE CONGRESS WILL BE COMPELLED TO VOTE RIGHTOUSLY, NOT AS A POLITICAL PARTY BUT AS A MEMBER OF THIS JOINT CONGRESSIONAL BODY. We need to walk the land around the Supreme Court and pray for all Judges to act justly and according to our laws and Constitution if they are called upon to give a decision. The Lord also gave me Psalm 36 after the election in 2012. I have hung onto verse 12 and prayed it daily. He said it would come to pass, and His Word never returns to Him void!
