I Prayed have prayed
Father, thank You for life! We celebrate Your victories through Dobbs and Calvary, and we overcome by the word of our testimony!

June 1 is the start of Life Month — a time for believers to celebrate life and rejoice, sharing the testimony of what Gabrielle Bruno calls “our generation’s Red Sea moment”: the overturn of Roe v. Wade on June 23, 2022.

Life Month was birthed in intercession. Gabrielle had been struggling with a burden: She wondered whether the Church’s jubilation after the overturn of Roe had too quickly given way to preoccupation with many other issues. She took her concerns straight to the Lord.

To be sure, Gabrielle’s perspective is unique: She was an intern on the Dobbs case, serving under Kenneth Starr, a former U.S. solicitor general; and Bradley Lingo, dean of Regent University School of Law. The two men’s amicus brief is considered to have been pivotal in Roe’s overturn.

Gabrielle sought the Lord regarding whether Christians may have taken the Dobbs victory for granted, and if so, she wondered how that might affect the outcomes of any current or future cultural and spiritual battles. As she prayed, she heard this in her spirit: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death” (Revelation 12:11 NKJV). Shortly after this, Gabrielle felt the Lord prompting her to “celebrate life.”

Life Month is not about getting stuck in the past, asserts Gabrielle, nor is its celebration limited to the lives of preborn babies, as precious as those are. Our God celebrates life from conception through our ultimate reunion with Him in heaven: “The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life” (Job 33:4). Thus, for Gabrielle, Life Month is about bringing forth pure worship, praise, and unity as we advance the kingdom of heaven. For the Church, therefore, June can come to be a sort of memorial stone: a month in which we mark God’s faithfulness through Dobbs. It can be an expression of “the word of our testimony” — through the battles of our own generation or future ones.

As we see in Scripture: “ … that this may be a sign among you. When your children ask in time to come, ‘What do those stones mean to you?’ then you shall tell them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. So these stones shall be to the people of Israel a memorial forever” (Joshua 4:6–7).

And so, our celebratory remembrance of the Roe overturn and of God’s gift of life is especially important culturally, because today we are engaged in tremendous spiritual warfare for the protection of human life at every stage.

May You be praised Lord for the miracle You accomplished last year. Thank You for this blessing and I pray that more and more steps forward will occur. Roe vs. Wade was a Goliath but You defeated him. Therefore, I ask that one day in America abortion may be unthinkable and that every child may be given the basic right to live.

I saw and heard Gabriella’s testimony on the World Prayer Network (WPN) last night.
This young woman is vibrant, full of life, and definitely annointed by the LORD. She recently graduated from law school and I pray that this annointing will remain on her and extend to many
others in her generation and that this vision and exhuberance will ignite many to focus
on God and His glory and away from the many evils the enemy tries to oppress us with.
JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH and THE LIFE!

I AM inspired to rejoice and celebrate life…from the womb to the tomb and everafter!
