I Prayed have prayed
God, we lift up our leaders and our government before You. Give our elected officials wisdom as they vote on these spending bills, and let Your will be done in Congress.

Our leaders managed to find an uneasy compromise, but will it make it through the conservative House?

From The Hill. Congressional leaders have struck a deal to avert a government shutdown this week, agreeing to punt a pair of funding deadlines later into March to buy more time for spending talks.

Let the IFA community know how to pray for you.

Under the deal announced Wednesday, leaders have agreed to extend funding for six full bills covering the departments of Agriculture, Justice, Commerce, Energy, Interior, Transportation and Housing and Urban Development through March 8.

The deal would also extend funding for the remaining six annual funding bills, which cover the departments of Labor and Health and Human Services, the Pentagon and other offices, through March 22.

“We are in agreement that Congress must work in a bipartisan manner to fund our government,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) said in a joint statement on Wednesday, along with the heads of the appropriations committees in both chambers. …

Leaders say negotiators have come to agreement on all six measures due March 8, but a senior appropriator signaled on Wednesday that there could still be some loose ends.

Rep. Rosa DeLauro (Conn.), the top Democrat on the House Appropriations Committee, told reporters on Wednesday that “there’s still one or two pieces” to iron out when asked about the first batch of bills. That includes unresolved items in areas like WIC and SNAP benefits, as well as guns.

House Republicans expect to vote on stopgap bill on Thursday. DeLauro said she expects text for a package containing the first batch of six bills to come out this weekend.

The new deal sets up a battle in the House, where Johnson faces a tough challenge in getting through another short-term stopgap measure, particularly as conservatives have pressed a for a full-year stopgap. …

Under the current stopgap spending bill, funding for four of the 12 full-year spending bills is set to expire Friday, while funding for the remaining eight bills is up on March 8.

The latest agreement comes as spending cardinals in both chambers have signaled more time may be needed to complete their funding work after weeks of tense bipartisan negotiations. …

My prayer Lord is that the following will be considered as are a part of the lose ends not yet resolved. We ask that there would be more restrictions on what people can spend this money on, how much they get and who actually qualify. There would be more accountability to those issuing the benefits and the spotlight of Holy Spirit be on this and analyze thoroughly its entire program. The deception come to an end. Those who have been on the role too long and have had chances to make the necessary changes and haven’t where possible, will be cut off. Immigrants just coming in will not qualify. There will be restrictions for people who have kids just to get the money. The number of children will be no more than 1 or in some just cases 2. Too many people are deceived by the poverty stronghold there would be a turnaround from dependence on the government to dependence on God ones own ability. A desire to work vs a desire to be lazy and be a victim. We pray for the fatherless mentality stronghold be broken and the family mountain restored. That godly values and work ethics be respected once again. The welfare system be done away with. Thank You. In Jesus Name.

    AMEN all the way around.

More information is needed before I even get to a “maybe.”

Oversight is needed for every agency that these funds are allocated.

Those who are committing neglect, abuse, emotional and financial violence on the American public are the same people who would be working to be put the American public in jail for doing the same thing.

I do not even know HOW to pray anymore. It seems that an atmosphere of anxiety prevails among our Citizens because many of the Congress and other Leaders seem to propose too many things/ideals that harm the Nation’s interest than benefit America. It is frightening.
Let us start with enforcing the Laws that are on the books instead of changing what is already in place. Too many freedoms in our Amendments are challenged or ignored.

Father, give these Senators and Representatives your wisdom on spending. We are so in debt as a nation. I pray you would bring about change in our Congress and White House that all our leaders might be open to your voice.

These individuals are not our leaders. When will people quit repeating this lie. They are our servants and we the people are king per the constitution. The only compromise is what they are doing to freedom from a dumb down society that uses government as an idol who by the way hates God. Pastors in the government cannot even speak the name of Christ as it is so offensive to them.
