January 6, 4 Years Ago Today
4 years ago today, protestors gathered in and around the Capitol in what some call the darkest day in American history. After 4 years of politicization, manipulation, and lies, incoming President Trump may finally bring justice to the protestors who were unfairly jailed.
From The Daily Wire. It’s January 6, and a storm is brewing in Washington, D.C.

By the end of the day, the nation’s capital could have more than 10 inches of snow, enough precipitation is enough to bring this spiritually-southern city to its knees. …
But there’s at least one group of people settling in for a full work day. At 1:00 p.m., Vice President Kamala Harris will gavel in a special joint session of Congress. In her capacity as President of the Senate, she’ll oversee a vote to certify the results of the 2024 presidential election.
In an appearance on Fox News yesterday, House Speaker Mike Johnson, fresh off his re-election, said he does not expect the blizzard to interfere with the vote. …
Winter weather aside, this is all pretty standard stuff — and a far cry from the last vote to certify, the day that Americans will always remember when they think “January 6.”
A lot has happened since then. Trump, of course, handed power over to Joe Biden, whose disastrous presidency eventually gave way to Harris’s disastrous, insurgent presidential campaign. And after a landslide victory in November, Trump is now set to return to the White House in just two weeks.
He might kick off his term by pardoning the January 6 defendants.
Trump has said repeatedly that he is open to pardoning many of the 1,600 people charged for their involvement in the Capitol Riot, hundreds of whom have been jailed. And Trump has frequently spoken out against what he says is very unfair treatment of mostly peaceful protestors. …
The president-elect has indicated that he would not consider a blanket pardon, and that he would make “some exceptions” for those found to have done something really criminal. But it seems very likely that Trump will kick off his second term by pardoning many of the January 6 defendants. …
A lot can happen in four years.

Lord, may those who, in the confusion of that day trespassed, have charges dropped and their records erased but those who came to the capitol with weapons and especially those who have prior records of violence and used weapons against officers be held accountable.
Yes, Lord, may those who came to the capitol with baseball bats, metal batons, guns, clubs, bear spray, and zip ties be forced to face the consequences and those who climbed through a broken window face nothing more than misdemeanor charges and who were just bystanders and wandered in because the door was open be released.
…and, Lord, while President Trump finds exceptions from pardons for J6’ers who did ‘something really criminal,’ would you please put it upon his heart to make mention of the WH Capitol & the DC police, men and women, who were so very violent and truly criminal in their actions against the J6’ers. As the truth keeps getting slowly revealed to us, we beseech you, Lord, to not let them remain hidden in background noise, and that you would also reveal those jailors and guards themselves in the DC prisons. In your Son’s name, Jesus we ask President Trump’s continued public condemnation of these and their instigators. Thank you.

Lord we bless You and thank You for your mercies, faithfulness and truthfulness as Your marvelous plan unfolds. We will never forget the opportunity for the turnaround You have given us, our families and country for such a time as this. We commit to stand with You on Your promises (and there are so many others) so that what You want to do can be carried out for all to see Jesus and the Trinity glorified. For Your kingdom to come and Your will to be done. Please give us the strength, wisdom and perseverance to continue to follow through with this gift to pray for and with IFA and others as we stand in the gap ( especially for those in leadership) on the front lines of this battle. Hallelujah!!!
