I Prayed have prayed
Increasingly, O Lord, this world is in desperate need of Your justice and righteousness. Vindicate this brave, praying woman.
Reading Time: 2 minutes

The latest conviction for January 6 is a Christian woman who went to the event to pray and spent only 10 minutes in the Capitol.

From The Gazette. After a lengthy deliberation that’s been rare for Capitol breach cases, Falcon resident Rebecca Lavrenz, known on social media as the “J6 Praying Grandma,” was convicted on all four federal misdemeanor charges for her participation in the Jan. 6, 2021, protest of the 2020 presidential election results in Washington, D.C.

Have you taken your place on the wall?

The trial began March 25 in federal district court in the District of Columbia and ended after nearly 26 hours of deliberation, a 12-member jury found Lavrenz guilty of entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a capitol building, and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a capitol.

The 71-year-old great grandmother and owner of a bed-and-breakfast business where she lives about 14 miles northeast of Colorado Springs could be sentenced to up to a year in prison and ordered to pay fines of more than $200,000, which excludes legal fees.

She will be sentenced Aug. 12.

“I was surprised,” she told The Gazette. … “I believe God wanted it to turn out this way so my voice could be amplified. We have to wake up our country.”

Lavrenz said she felt compelled by God to drive across country to the “Stop the Steal” rally more than three years ago and pray for the nation.

“The whole reason I went to the Capitol was to pray,” she said. “I didn’t get into this for myself, I was there to stand up for my country. God led me to go there and into the building to stand up for my First Amendment rights to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

When she was inside the Capitol for 10 minutes with a group of other rally-goers, Lavrenz said she “felt God’s presence on me.”

Defense attorneys from John Pierce Law presented seven witnesses, while four people testified on behalf of prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, who argued that Lavrenz entered the Capitol without having the authority to do so. …

If she had been found not guilty, Lavrenz would have been the first Jan. 6 defendant in a jury trial to be acquitted of federal charges. Two bench trials have been acquitted, and some defendants in jury trials have had charges reduced. …

Interspersed with messages of support on social media, she has faced a barrage of criticism and name-calling. …

“I’m going to make my voice so loud that if they try to put me in prison to shut it up, it won’t work,” she said.

Father I ask that you would not let this lady go to prison. This whole scheme of the government to imprison anyone who even thought of going to the capital is outrageous! I pray that you would defend her! But is you choose that she goes to prison, protect her and may she be a voice for you and may hearts be turned to you because of her voice. Give her courage and strength and protect her.

A prayer for Rebecca Lavrenz, the ‘J6 Praying Grandmother’: “Thank You, Father, that ‘IT IS ALL GOOD’ when we commit our paths to You! Psalm 11:7 says: ‘God’s business is putting things right; He loves getting the lines straight, setting us straight. Once we’re standing tall, we can look Him straight in the eye.’ I lift up the outcome of the sentencing for Rebecca Lavrenz on August 12 to You. I pray, God, that You will bring your vengeance on the federal district court in the District of Columbia I pray that You will let this court drink from your cup of judgment if they fine Rebecca or imprison her. I repent for not holding the J6ers up in my prayers more regularly. Please forgive me for that. I will do better. In Jesus powerful nane I pray this. Amen.”

First of all God bless this woman. Second, I have not been following the J6 drama at all but this really baffled me: “If she had been found not guilty, Lavrenz would have been the first Jan. 6 defendant in a jury trial to be acquitted of federal charges. Two bench trials have been acquitted, and some defendants in jury trials have had charges reduced.” Whatever happened to a jury of your peers? Is it just me or could the jury’s be calculated and rigged with the most woke people ever? Lord hear us! The devil has taken hearts and minds captive. Those under the deep deception of the evil one don’t even know the bondage they are in or the lies they are believing. They likely are not calling on your name either, Father. They are still your children and I pray they start recognizing your voice. Lord may they get stirred up inside as they come to learn that your spirit moves in them. People may try to deny you Jesus but you are etched into everyone’s soul! What a gift and blessing you have given us God. We love you and in your name we pray!

As gently as possible may I suggest to you ..that what has been discovered in the 3 years since j6.. is that.. it was all a planned and orchestrated psychological opportunity otherwise known as a psyop) by covert FBI agents.. that are not serving the people- but serving the globalists.
Second thing that seems important to note- is that the only people that are God’s children- are those that have called on the name of Jesus and received him as Savior. People that are not saved are still his creation- and he still loves them.. but scripture says that his children are those that acknowledge and have received Christ as Savior. I admire This Woman’s commitment to her patriotic Duty.. remember that the root word for Patriot is father.. and that our Liberty is derived from God’s word..the Bible.. guaranteed in our constitution. I admire her courage and it shows that I do not have the courage she has.. at least I have not had the opportunity to be involved in a situation like that-, maybe I would.. I don’t know.. but she definitely did the right thing.. and I will confess that I did not realize.. first-, that she had gone through this.. and secondly- it only dawned on me of her sacrifice and what she was doing when I read this article. Her act of patriotic courage is a model for all of us. I hope I could rise to that level of Duty

Father God, continue to use this amazing child of yours! Protect her from harm, strengthen & encourage her as she is standing firmly grounded in You. Work in unbelievable ways behind-the scenes…provide for all the fines and legal fees in great abundance, let her testimony absolutely shift the mindset and thinking of all those involved in the court system and news reporting as she is directing all of the attention & purpose to You! Encourage her as she is providing an incredible example for us of what it means to stand firmly in You and Your Word. Take what was meant to harm her (and the enemy’s wish to actually hurt You) and use it all for Your amazing good.

Asking in the mighty & powerful name of Jesus—Amen.
