I Prayed have prayed
Father, we thank you for the power available through prayer.  Yet, we know there is more we can do.  We commit this concern to you.  Show us who to write and who to call.  Give us the words to say to make an impact.  Cause every Christian to make a righteous stand for our rights.  We are one nation under God, with liberty for all, empower and anoint us to hold on to our freedoms, this we ask in Jesus name.
Reading Time: 3 minutes

You could ask anyone that knows me if I am political and they would say no.

It’s just never been my thing.  That being said, I must ask, “What is happening and why are we not seeing it?”

I woke up this morning to an email from one of our ministry partners.  Her tone seemed desperate.  Her husband was having emergency surgery for the second time in the past few weeks.  She was not allowed to be with him.  He was terrified.  As was she.

Frustration rose up in me as I thought, “When is this going to end?  Why are people not seeing the oppression in this?  Does anyone have the right to tell us we cannot be with a loved when they are having life-threatening surgery, or worse, when they are dying?”

Why have we surrendered to this, without question?

When the COVID-19 began, it was almost understandable.  I could see the logic in staying home as much as possible until the hospitals prepared, and we knew what we were dealing with.

But then the media began spreading fear.

People were afraid to leave their house.  They accepted everything the media reported and surrendered their rights, without a fight.  Why?  Fear.

Have we completely forgotten the Word of God?

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.  2 Timothy 1:7

Not only were we quarantined, but we were told that if our loved one were hospitalized, they could die alone.  Again, I understand the reasoning behind this, but shouldn’t it be my choice to expose myself to the virus while being with a loved one? ’

I cannot even think about the thousands of people who have died alone and afraid.  It breaks my heart.

This morning as I was thinking about this, I knew I had to do something.  Something more than prayer. Something arose within me, demanding action.

I wrote a letter to our President with my concerns.  I called my Governor and told him my concerns.  I ask both how they would feel if they had a loved one in a hospital dying alone.

Prayer is an awesome thing.  I am thankful for the many Christians praying for our country and this virus.  But there is more we can do.

Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. (James 2:17)

It is time to put action to our faith and prayer.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” (Edmund Burke)

Are good men and women doing nothing?

We can, and should, let our voices be heard by those who have the power to do something about our concerns.  Write letters to our government and leaders.  Call their office.  Vote righteously.  We can make a change by putting action to our prayers.

It doesn’t take anger or violence, only godly action.

Daily I see people complaining online about liquor stores being opened while churches remain closed.  I wonder, how many are complaining and how many are doing something about it?  How many are taking five minutes to let their voice be heard?

We can do something.  We have a voice.  We have rights.  The only way we will lose those rights is if we refuse to stand up for them.  I say, stand up.  Now.  Before it is too late.

My prayer for President Trump and Attorney General Barr: “He will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy, and he will protect you from false accusation and any deadly curse. His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you. You can run under his covering of majesty and hide. His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91:3-4‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Words can be misunderstood, and I believe conversations are important. I know people do not always agree on every detail, but basically, I think we agree. Prayer is key in every issue. Basically, we should not react from emotion, but act from discernment. God bless!

Kim and others, please contact me. This is nothing new. They, the system and medical mafia, have been forcing guardians on the elderly and the disabled for years. Many ship the person out of the state and do not allow family to visit. I have tried to make contact with the Whitehouse, but could use others alongside. This is not good to isolate. This virus is just an excuse to extend their isolation and euthanasia policies to even more people. Did anybody ask Grandma or Grandpa if they wanted no visitors or to be isolated? Heck, no. These policies need to stop. Need some civil rights attorneys to step up. Please contact me through this website or Dave.

During this Sabbath Rest Sabbatical may God shake the Church to it’s foundations and test us, removing what will not last, and move the Light of their lamp onto the lampstand of their heart, high and lifted up, for all to see! Then act!

“Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them, I will show you whom he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock; and when a flood occurred, the torrent burst against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. But the one who has heard and has not acted accordingly, is like a man who built a house on the ground without any foundation; and the torrent burst against it and immediately it collapsed, and the ruin of that house was great.” Luke 6:46‭-‬49

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!!!! This letter has to have been directly from the Holy Spirit!! I so agree with everything that was said so there is no need to be repetitious!!! It is time we all stand up and be counted!!! In our ‘silence’ we are agreeing! May the Lord lead us each and everyone to express what He is showing us to be an encroachment of our rights this country was founded on. I do not believe He has lifted His hand from America as yet, if we will only repent and willingly follow the path God chooses for us as Marin Luther King said in fighting during for Civil Rights, “We Shall Overcome”. It is in God we Trust!!!

Why can’t we wear the same protective garments the nurses and doctors wear? Why do loved ones have to die or suffer alone?

It was not just liquor stores that remained open. People were congregating in hordes at local Walmarts and Home Depot’s and Lowes. There were people in masses in all these stores- no social distancing and very few masks during the first few days of quarantine. I was shocked to see those parking lots more full during quarantine than on a typical Black Friday or a typical holiday sale. Masses of people were lining every aisle and the checkout lines were longer than I have ever seen. Again, social distancing was not required at these stores even after all our churches were shut down. So, we must ask ourselves why would the secular media want our churches shut down yet people were allowed to meet by the hundreds in area stores????? Why would a worldly media want to create hysteria to keep Christians from gathering but Sunday mornings were a free for all at Walmart and home improvement stores??? And, why would the leftist media want to shut down our country for something that has caused less deaths than the flu? Could it have anything to do with the fact that our President’s faith in God scares them? And could it have anything to do with the fact that this is an election year so they want to cripple our economy while preventing Christians from being able to gather and pray???

Good word never thought about the hospital scene but have heard stories from nurses about seeing people die alone. I don’t think this is as much as punishing the sick but from fear of the spread of this virus that has already taken out many Dr.s and Nurses and maybe they just don’t want any more deaths or blood on their hands.

I was a little shocked that they were allowing bars to be open when you could still buy bear and liquor at the grocery store.

And as far as the church goes I think this whole thing has been a wake up call for our spiritual leaders we have had to go online for church like our kids have had to go online for school I think this is causing our families to look at what is being said on line in our church services as well as the parents having to see what their kids are being taught in school. I Praise God for that because I think that parents for the past 50 or 60 years have been out of the loop when it comes to what the state is teaching out little ones.

It is time for action!!! I take orders from GOD only! I may not be a good christian but I have always believed in GOD, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. I wake up everyday knowing we need to do more than talk about what is going on. We need one voice, one massive voice saying GOD is my master and I am illing to fight for him! Satan beware we know you!

Nehmiah when building the wall, had a sword in his hand, yes we must pray to end abortion, to stop the homosexual agenda, to stop human trafficking, to stop child porn, we must do more than this! We must speak out! I have been in churches where I ask if I can inform the congregation about bills that are about to be voted on and I am told, we don’t do that here! We are in America where we have a voice, if we don’t use it, WE WILL LOSE IT!

Me too. I’ve always had a heart towards government and good policy and so many churches just don’t want to talk about it. I am just thankful to go to church now that allows us to put out voter guides, although now we are only allowed to do that online. Considering pastors have the most influence, it is so discouraging that they stay so silent.

AMEN & AMEN!!! DO SOMETHING CHURCH!!!
I posted on my FB page* that as a lawyer & lover of my country I earnestly urged pastors to protect our First Amendment rights and NOT close the doors of their churches- have small, social distanced groups to meet to intercede for our country. I cited the county in CA that ordered online worship to stop. However the majority of responses I got was that people do not need a church building to worship & pray!
I have written all State & Congressional leaders in Idaho where the (R) Governor opens up the state on May 16 but the (D) Mayor refuses to open the city of Boise. This is no longer a health issue but a political/spiritual battle!
I have found that better than litigation & legislation is for the Church to BE a visible light (call & write their reps) & then fight the way Israel won all her battles – worship until God’s glory comes down (2 Chron 20) & then thank the Lord for fighting the battle – for piercing the enemy with their own swords/arrows (Isa 37;14,15 & Isa 64:7-9). The enemy is being pierced with their own lies now and truth is winning, like a boomerang!
God bless you fellow warriors!

There is nothing more comforting than the voice of a beloved friend when one is sick, let alone when one is dying. If hospitals can suit up the medical staff to protect them from the virus, why cannot family members be suited up to visit their dying loved ones? To be left to die alone . . . . there are no words.

Thank you, Kim.

Standing up for what is right is not complaining. Our forefathers fought, as well as prayed, to gain the freedom this country has enjoyed. If we do nothing to prevent those who wish to take those freedoms away, we are not protecting or stewarding the freedoms God has so graciously given us. We are His hands and feet and His voice in this world. Prayer is very key in our battles, but to see evil and do nothing is wrong.

We don’t want to diminish the power of God in any situation. I was in the military. Yes, we all must do our part but the Israelites stayed in the wilderness 40 years because of their grumbling and complaining. I am just saying.

In no way should we diminish the power of God, and we should do our part. I am not trying to be contentious. I just don’t see standing up for our freedom as complaining. I see no connection with the Israelites in the wilderness and taking a stand for our freedom.Jesus took action when he drove the money changers out of the Temple. He took a stand for what is right. I definitely believe prayer is the key, but believe we should take a stand for the same reason. Thank you for your service and may God bless you.

I Corin. 10:9-12. When we stand we must not complain. Complaining and grumbling is different than standing up for your beliefs. I believe in being bold and standing firm. Be blessed by your own opinion.

          May 10, 2020

I agree that we should not complain and grumble. I just don’t see how standing up to those who try to infringe on our freedom could be considered complaining. If I am wrong, I pray God shows me that I am. The Bible says Jesus gave us authority on this earth to trample on the evils (serpents and snakes) that exist. Why would He give us that authority, if He did not expect us to use it?

Father, I repent for having taken our precious freedom for granted and for allowing the enemy to slip in unaware to try to bring us into bondage to ways that are not your ways. Father, thank you for giving me and the rest of your people courage to speak out and stand up for freedom and justice. Let your Word spoken through us penetrate the hearts of our elected officials to govern rightly, justly and wisely. And may those who refuse to yield to your direction because their hearts are hardened against you, be removed from their positions and replaced with leaders who will honor and glorify you and respect the inalienable rights of the people, rights that are given to us not by government but by you.

Most Holy God, You are the Comforter, the lover of our souls, You are our Healer, You are Yahweh Shalom, You are the Lord of Hosts.I am so grateful that prayer has no boundaries and You hear us. No one on earth loves as much as You do. When we are alone You are there. When separated and there is no help, You are there. Father, search my heart to see that there is nothing that would hinder my prayers.
When we have the opportunity to talk on the phone with a patient (even unconscious) it’s Your Word they need, it’s our prayers according to Your Word that bring comfort, healing, encouragement because Your Word never returns void, Your Holy Spirit and Your ministering angels are not effected nor hindered by time, space or infectious disease.

It is indeed time to stand up for our God-given freedom to worship and practice our faith. Too long the church has been silent and needs to make its voice heard. If believers do nothing we may lose the right to practice our faith because of some of the unrighteous actions of the government. We need to pray, pray, and pray and then act in love and with wisdom.

This article is biblically unsound, scientifically ignorant, and constitutionally misguided. The COVID-19 restrictions has nothing to do with rights, liberty, or justice. These restrictions are temporarily put in place to save lives. And you religious rights people are too ignorant and blinded by your Trump Celtic loyalty to see the truth. This ignorant protest for freedom over facts explains why the US has more Coronavirus infections and deaths than any other nation. The problem with Americans is we refuse to any form of of self- discipline for the common good. What we need to do is pray and repent for our rebellious spirit. I agree that during this unprecedented time of discovering and understanding the how to deal this new Coronavirus we are all suffering to some degree. But this only temporary. All previous generations have suffered to some degree, we are not special or exempt. In my opinion, the reasons God has allowed the Coronavirus to hit America so hard, is so that we may learn how to “Be Still”(Psalms 46), love, and serve one another, rather than always protesting and insisting upon having our rights and our way. This so selfish. I pray we as a nation and a people will learn how to “Be Still and Know God!”

As far as I can see, most people in our country, at least in my area, have followed the government guidelines. I do not see that this article is Biblically incorrect, scientifically ignorant or constitutionally misguided. The purpose of the guidelines was to not overwhelm the capacity of the hospitals. They were never overwhelmed. Most hospitals have furloughed healthcare workers, because the need was not there, with the exception of New York. When you compare the size of America to other nations, we have not been hit harder than any other country, probably less. New York suffered more, because their Mayor had senior citizens returned to nursing homes that were infected with the Covid-19 virus. That put infected individuals back in a closed environment with individuals that were immune compromised. Cuomo was also surprised to find out that most people who had the Covid-19 virus had actually sheltered in place, but got sick anyway. This information can all be verified with research.

If you look at the statistics for death in the US per year, alcohol-related deaths are about 70,000 a year, about 10,000 in car accidents. But we accept this as normal. (Liquor stores stay open for the taxes, the cigarettes, and the alcoholics.) There are other deaths which we ignore: soldiers committing suicide, children abused to death, and the yearly flu season. We seem very able to remain complacent about those, too. And, of course, abortion, which accounts for a little less than a million a year and is the leading cause of death in the US. That is defended vigorously as a necessary right. Why is covid-19 seen as something so dreadful and worthy of disrupting our livelihoods and adding billions to the national deficit? Our thinking is futile and our foolish hearts darkened. Unlike the Bereans, we are not comparing the messages we get from the media with the messages in the Gospel. Like pagans creating idols with their own hands and then worshiping them, we sophisticates place our faith in and follow our self-created media, which grows more powerful, more invasive, and more an ordinary part of life. The culture of which we are so proud is itself infected. I pray that the light of God’s grace shine upon us, wake us up, and illuminate our minds and our paths forward. In the Name of our Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen.

I have sent several letters to the elected officials over the past 4 or 5 years. I pray often for the elected leaders. I have voted for those who demonstrate their past work/agenda agrees as much as possible with the 10 Commandments. To travel in person to Wash. D.C. is just too expensive for me. I received form letters in response to my letters/notes. Not sure what more I can do. What needs to be done is for a significant number of the people to rise up in unity and say, “enough”. One or two persons is not enough. They just get arrested. I think we are just still too divided or have apathy or fear. When something really happens that we can get united on, then we’ll rise up. I hope we get together soon. Praying that God will be guiding this. Rising up in unity for God’s righteousness and justice to be done in the land. “I give thanks to the Lord, for God is good, and His mercy endures forever” (Ps. 118:1). And 2 Chron. 7:13-14.
