I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we lift up this prophetic word and if it be Your will we pray those who are resistant to the digital age would jump onboard for the sake of spreading the gospel.
Reading Time: 2 minutes

MIchael Cavanaugh, director of Elim Bible Institute, was given this word that an IFA intercessor shared with us and we want to share with you:

Several friends have encouraged me to share a prophetic word I recently received. On a recent Friday night, the elders of Elim Fellowship (EF), my ministerial fellowship, joined together on Zoom for fellowship and prayer. We discussed how the world was changing as a result of the pandemic, particularly with the shift toward the digital. One elder reported that many pastors have actually seen improvements in their churches as they have switched to digital communication. Counter intuitively, their offerings have improved, and they are getting more views of their church services than their former attendance. Weddings have changed also, with young people getting married and sharing the service digitally; they are saving money and yet sharing their day with many who in the past could not have attended.

As we began to shift to prayer for members of EF and their families who are suffering, especially in other nations, I began to hear these words shouted in my mind,

“It is all for the Gospel! It is all for the spreading of the Gospel!

Remember the Roman roads. Rome thought it was about world conquest, but it was really about placing roads all over the world so that My Gospel could touch the whole known world.

Remember the Erie Canal. The builders thought it was all about commerce, but I wanted it so that revival could spread across New York state to the then frontiers. Where the Erie Canal ran became known as the burned-out region because the fires of revival were so intense.

Remember Chairman Mao in China and the Cultural Revolution. So many people suffered, but the Gospel had faced tremendous resistance in China because there were so many language groups. But Mao declared one China, one language. As he forced the nation to speak one language, he paved the road for the greatest spreading of the Gospel the world has ever seen as China experienced revival.

Today the pandemic is forcing us where we would never go on our own. All of us are being forced to embrace digital tools like never before. Many of us have resisted, but we must see today that it is all about the SPREADING OF THE GOSPEL! The Romans thought is was about conquest, canal builders thought it was about commerce, Chairman Mao thought it was about unifying China, and today we think it is all about stopping the pandemic. IT IS All ABOUT SPREADING THE GOSPEL!!”

As a result of hearing these words spoken to my heart, I’m changing my attitude toward the digital and I’m committing to learn all I can, as fast as I can, so I can participate in what God is doing next.

Join us in praying that the crises we face today will be used by God to set this world on fire for Him. Pray that the Gospel would be spread like never before. Pray for a plentiful harvest and for the Lord of the harvest to send out workers to the field. (Mt 9:37-38)

Dear Directors of IFA:

Plain & simple, our God is not, in any way shape nor form, a political pansy. Our God is The Lord God of Heaven & Earth !

He is one that has reasonable mercy where warranted. He is a tough God, and a Man of War. All we have to do is read the Holy Scriptures.

Those that hate what he Loves & love what he Hates are deceived and very miss-informed ! They are by definition classified as The Enemies of Almighty God. My prayer, very Biblical, is that God will destroy his enemies !

I was apart of IFA, when it was established with Earn Baxter & Derek Prince, during a Miami meeting back in the early seventies. I am now a retired Corp Executive.

Lord we know that You and You alone have the wisdom and power to use anything You choose to further Your word. I have long seen the potential for good as well as evil with the digital age. Help us to awaken and unify as the Body of Christ to the untold potential that is available for the kingdom of God with the use of digital. Help us to remember that digital is nothing more than a vehicle to be utilized in order to spread your word. In Jesus name amen.

Flood the internet with info about Jesus. Even a website is free and easy to set up, or a Free blog, on Weebly.com. The more on the internet, the greater the chance people have to hear/read the good news.

Do we not believe that when God spoke “Let there be…”, that He had these days in mind? God knows the end from the beginning and all we have to do is read the Bible for ourselves to see that God’s ‘prophecy’ is true.
My grandmother used to wonder how the entire world would be able to see the two slain witnesses referred to in the book of Revelation. In her day, television didn’t exist. Today, all of this is possible through social media. News can be seen as it is happening all over the world. Yes, we need to get the word out. Matthew 28:18-20 gives that mandate.

I am beginning to see how during this time ,many platforms of technology are being used. I am praying for God to show me how to use ZOOM to disciple new converts as well as sharing the Gospel! The fields are white unto harvest right now!! THANK GOD for this timely Word!

This reminds me of a Scripture.

In the Book of Philippians, chapter 1, verse 12, the Apostle Paul refers to “the furtherance of the gospel.”

This prophetic word is confirmation to me that Facebook, Zoom and digital tools are for God’s people and the spreading of the Gospel. If we don’t become familiar with them then the enemy will use them to spread his agenda. Praise the Lord because He gives us what we need in times of darkness and separation. Intercessors for America is a vital tool during this time, because it keeps us informed and connected.

Thanks for an encouraging word. I must admit at times I experience Zoom fatigue and connection frustration as I attempt to lead prayer meetings and bible studies on-line. However, the platforms do increase our reach and with additional prayer and effort, who knows how far we can go? The on-line services and teachings surrounding Good Friday, Resurrection Sunday, and Pentecost were both inspiring and uniting. Praise be to the One Who loves us All!

May Jesus be lifted up and the gospel go forth with deep conviction and dunamis power across e-networks, unto the ends of the earth – Amen.

I am deaf. For more than 70 years I have heard nothing from sermons and prayers except when I was able to lip-read. Music is still mostly lost to me. But with our services now on-line, I can understand almost every word by enlarging the speaker and using headphones. I have a hearing aide that only works for me along with lip-reading. I miss our people, but I enjoy our services at long last. Surely there are others like me. To God be the glory!

AMEN! May God open every eye that sees yet doesn’t, and that hears yet doesn’t truly hear, just as certainly as your physical ears now can hear! Praise Jesus!
