statement from his office said that his security cabinet ministers agreed to “accept the Egyptian initiative for a mutual ceasefire without any conditions, which will go into effect at an hour that will be determined later.”

An official with Hamas, a designated terrorist group since 1997, told Reuters they would enter a “mutual and simultaneous” Gaza truce at 2 a.m. on May 21.

It came after President Joe Biden spoke to Netanyahu over the phone and urged for a ceasefire with Hamas earlier this week, according to a White House readout. . . .

Biden, during his May 19 call with Netanyahu, said Israel should engage in a “significant de-escalation today on the path to a cease-fire.” Netanyahu pushed back and told media outlets that he was instead “determined to continue this operation until its aim is met.”

During the conflict, Hamas fired thousands of rockets into Israeli civilian areas beginning on May 10. Israel responded with hundreds of airstrikes and several ground strikes.

The Israeli military, meanwhile, reported that between 7 a.m. and 2 a.m. local time, 300 rockets were fired from Gaza, with 299 of them entering Israel, although about 90 percent of them were intercepted, reported Haaretz.

At least 230 Palestinians have been killed and 1,710 people were wounded, according to the Gaza Health Ministry, although it doesn’t separate the numbers into civilians and fighters. Hamas and fellow terror group Islamic Jihad stated that at least 20 of their members were killed, while Israeli officials have placed that number as being much higher. . . .

The military said an anti-tank missile fired from Gaza hit an empty bus near the frontier on May 20, lightly wounding an Israeli soldier. . . .

Isaiah 19:16 in that day the Egyptians will become weaklings. They will shudder with fear at the uplifted hand that the Lord Almighty raises against them. 17And the land of Judah will bring terror to the Egyptians; everyone to whom Judah is mentioned will be terrified, because of what the Lord Almighty is planning against them.18In that day five cities in Egypt will speak the language of Canaan and swear allegiance to the Lord Almighty. One of them will be called the City of the Sun.19In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the heart of Egypt, and a monument to the Lord at its border. 20It will be a sign and witness to the Lord Almighty in the land of Egypt. When they cry out to the Lord because of their oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and he will rescue them. 21So the Lord will make himself known to the Egyptians, and in that day they will acknowledge the Lord. They will worship with sacrifices and grain offerings; they will make vows to the Lord and keep them. 22The Lord will strike Egypt with a plague; he will strike them and heal them. They will turn to the Lord, and he will respond to their pleas and heal them.
23In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together. 24In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth. 25The Lord Almighty will bless them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.”

Father in the name of Jesus we look forward to that day.

Thank you Lord for bringing the killing and devistation to an end. Continue the efforts of the President of Israel to bring together the leaders of the various religious factions in Israel that they may recognize the value of the peace they had before this battle and the value of preserving it. Help those in Gaza Lord, especially the many innocent victims, and also those severely effected in Israel Lord who lost family members and especially the children who continually had to run for the bomb shelters. May a desire for peace stir them to realize that nothing is gained by hatred. Stir many to turn to you God for wisdom and peace..

Work in our US leaders Lord that they not think all is well now because the shelling has stopped. Take away their delusion that we played a big part in causing the cease fire. Awaken them to the truth Lord and stir them to turn away from their role in causing the conflict.

Finally Lord, come against the anti Sematism that is currently causing so many conflicts in our country and around the world. Send your angels to open the eyes those who hate, who have been led astray by Satan. You are the answer to all of this Lord. Awaken us to the need to share love and do what we can to defeat hate.

O Jerusalem, I have set intercessors on your walls who shall cry to God all day and all night for the fulfillment of his promises. Take no rest, all you who pray, and give God no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes her respected and admired throughout the earth.
