Many are accusing Israel of war crimes, calling its siege of Gaza inhumane. Is this the case, or are Israel’s actions justified?
From The Jerusalem Post. Mark Goldfeder, director of the National Jewish Advocacy Center, took to Twitter on Thursday to tackle accusations that Israel would be in violation of international law by enacting a siege on Gaza.

Goldfeder was tackling accusations from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Peter Beinart that Israel would violate international law and norms by enacting a siege.
He couches his argument largely in the Laws of Armed Conflict (LOAC), which are a series of regulations on armed conflict originating in the Geneva and Hague Conventions.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) regularly publishes documents detailing the LOAC. …

Three principles
“The central feature of the LOAC is to prevent unnecessary casualties and protect innocent civilians,” said Goldfeder. This is done “through the application of three fundamental principles: distinction, military necessity, and proportionality.”
He explained that distinction requires combatants and civilians to be clearly distinguished and that attacks must not be directed against civilians, only combatants. …
Then he cited a Lieber Insitute report that says, “There are no reliable reports that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have intentionally targeted civilians.” …
Military necessity, Goldfeder said, permits “measures which are actually necessary to accomplish a legitimate military purpose and are not otherwise prohibited by international humanitarian law.” …
He again clarified that it doesn’t mean that there is no limit on Israel’s actions, saying that the third principle of proportionality is key here. …
He describes proportionality here, “Proportionality is a prospective analysis that legally permits the risk of collateral damage necessary to achieve a just military objective. … ”
Israel’s military objective is to wipe out Hamas due to its targeting of men, women, and children, this is a legitimate objective under the LOAC. …
He also said that, under the LOAC, Israel is under no obligation to provide Gaza with electricity, because there is no way to ensure it will not be used by Hamas. …

Any idea that Gaza should not be under siege is plain lunacy. The attack on civilians by Hamas has to result in EXTREME measures against ALL Gazan residents. It is the tragedy of this kind of warfare, and failure to exact total retributive justice will result in even more and excessive atrocities from the likes of Hamas and Islamic gihad. There should be no mercy for Gaza now. yes, target the military leaders and installations primarily, but let this NOT be done half heartedly, and make every act count to obliterate utterly Hamas. We must also say a resounding NO and ‘NO’ again to ANY 2 state ‘solution’ (what ‘solution’?!).
Isreal needs to wake up and smell the coffee; the famous mixture of napthalene and palmetic acid used in ordinance over cities during WW II and Vietnam should be used in Gaza to eradicate the terrorists and their infrastructure. Safer living through chemistry.
America did the same to German Cities in WWII, for very similar reasons. 89% of Palestinians support Hamas. If they released illegally kidnapped hostages, power and water would come back on.
Israel has bowed to the enemy so many times and this is what comes of it. Lives will be lost regardless. Israel has asked them to leave so they won’t be victims. Palestine will not evacuate women and children. If Israel . doesn’t attack they will be annihilated and that’s many women and children as well. Should they be sitting targets? How lopsided are these protests against Israel. They have to fight back.

Dear Father God, how could Israel ever be engaging in war crimes after it was attacked by an enemy who did engage in war crimes against Israel. This shows just how Satan can distort the truth and deceive people into thinking the opposite of what happened. Satan is a master of deception. Evil needs to be dealt with.
This thinking says to me that people are saying that Israel must not defend itself!!??? The Lord God is with Israel and has always been with Israel. “For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” Deuteronomy 20:4
Israel has allowed non-Jews to live within her borders as long as they respect their neighbors and desire to live in shalom.
Hamas has proven out their words of cursing and of threats to Israel’s right to exist as a nation.
Israel has been very patient and somewhat tolerant up until 7 October.
Israel’s invasion of Gaza has nothing to do with vengeance and has everything to do with self-preservation.
I see the Lord restraining the armies of Israel from entering into Gaza and is leading the His armies of the heavenly hosts into Gaza to avenge the blood of the innocent victims.
When the IDF enter Gaza, I see them discovering the bodies of Hamas fighters laying on the ground, appearing as if they had been thrust through with a sword.
I also see Him leading out of captivity those who were taken captive.
All the earth shall know that there is still a Mighty God in Israel!
Father, I ask that You will fulfill the vision You have shown me. I see the captives testifying of seeing angelic beings who rescued them!
I pray that all the world would know You and acknowledge You and give You praise and glory!
In previous times of conflict, Your hand moved invisibly, but this time You will reveal Your hand and Your outstretched arm in gaining this victory!

We continue to pray regarding the situation in the Middle East. We ask for a quick end to this violence. We bind the prince of Persia’s/Iran’s efforts to steal, kill, and destroy. We break the power of this stronghold off the region, and loose the breath of God to the region. We declare the victory of Calvary over it. We declare that God has freed the descendants of Isaac and Ishmael from darkness and deception through the power of the blood of Jesus. Arise in that region, Lord, scatter Your enemies. Let Your light come and Your glory rise upon the people. We ask for angels to help bring the fruit of this.

This land belongs to the Jews,and they have the right to defend themselves.. The Lord gave it to them , They have been exchanging land for peace and this will never work.

We know the international community will go against Israel, because they ignore the spiritual battle that exists. The barbaric way Palestinians have attacked Israel is insane. The Bible describes it like the beasts of the field. Hamas doesn’t care about his people, he loves propaganda and hates Israel., like Iran , Lebanon etc. the circle of fire that surrounds Israel.
