Last week, “President Trump said the Federal Reserve has held back the stock market and the economy, claiming that the stock market and GDP would be improved if the Fed “had done its job properly.”
Trump claimed the stock market would be “up 5000 to 10,000 additional points” and GDP would be “well over” 4 percent.
“If the Fed had done its job properly, which it has not, the Stock Market would have been up 5000 to 10,000 additional points, and GDP would have been well over 4% instead of 3%…with almost no inflation. Quantitative tightening was a killer, should have done the exact opposite!” he tweeted….” (Excerpts from Michael Burke article in THE HILL)

We – my wife and I – who are both 60+ and still working, are doing OK financially, definitely better since Trump became president. I’m no economist, but I think Trump is mostly correct in saying that the Federal Reserve has held back the stock market and the economy. The guy running the Fed doesn’t seem to want Trump to succeed, not sure why.
