This poll has some interesting implications. Most of all, it shows us just how badly our federal government has spiraled out of control.
From The Center Square. Newly released polling data shows that a majority of Americans say the federal government has too much power.
Have you taken your place on the wall?
Gallup released the poll Wednesday, which showed that 54% of Americans said the federal government is “too powerful.” The survey found 39% said the federal government has the right amount of power while only 6% said it has too little.
In 2005, the percentage of Americans who said the federal government had too much power crossed 50% and has not dipped back down. …
“Currently, 74% of Republicans, 32% of Democrats and 54% of independents believe the federal government has too much power,” Gallup said.
The poll also found that 53% of those surveyed said the government is “doing too many things to solve nation’s problems” while 43% said the government should be doing more. …
When it comes to business regulation, Americans say the government is too involved.
“Twice as many Americans believe the government regulates business too much (46%) rather than too little (23%), and 29% say there is the right amount of regulation,” Gallup said. …

We are no longer the nation of the Founders, we have become their worst nightmare. When FDR began massive government expansion, later exacerbated by LBJ, and furthered by the continued Progressive march with the Clinton, Bush’, Obama, and now Biden. The Deep State bureaucracy has become the professional government, unelected and unregulated, able to be weaponized if they concur with the whims of the administration, but ready to undermine those with whom they disagree. Lord, though our nation has turned its back on you, we know you will never leave us or forsake us, give us strength to fight for this magnificent country you have entrusted to us. In Jesus name, amen.
God you and I know the Federal Government is operating under the influence of Evil. They have been exposed on many things they are involved in but each time they are not held accountable. Father we need exposing done on the FBI, they are spiraling out of control. God I pray for the release of the Holy Spirit to enter each Government building so the presence of God will be felt. Father I know this is a spiritual war that is going on in DC between God and Satan. I pray that his evil agendas will fail. I bind Satan and the power he thinks he has and cover our prayers with the blood of Jesus. We shall save America. I decree that the FBI and it’s agenda of crime will be stopped. I pray protection over the Ones that are free of crime and will share the evil agendas that has taken place for years. It is “we the people” not “we the government” to control the people.
The problem given here does not state the real problem. The economy is NOT the problem!
Taking over power that doesn’t exist, is only part of the problem.
Biden is not just a poor money handler nor all the Democrats working with him.
When he says everything is fine and then throws away all the gas or money at hand, THAT IS THE PLAN!
If we are so poor now – why did he ignore the millions of people he let in the country– And the cartels who are flooding our country with a deadly drug? And criminals?
The plan is to run the country almost bankrupt, and do away with the two party system, and the constitution, and make this a one party communist
country and then build up that country.
The Prayer Plan for us, would be to expose their plan to the American people. Then, have the other party clean up their mess and for Americans to be in charge again. Or in other words, for the Trump team to get in charge of making our country, rich and safe And Great Again!
Prophets, and many top Christian leaders were told by GOD to put Trump in the White House before his first election, I was one of them! And the 2020 election was really cheated and how Biden got in.
He is actually guilty of Treason, and his sickness
and acting like he is senile is his card to get a lesser charge and not be killed as a traitor.
My prayer has been what Jesus and GOD told me to do, Pray MAGA with (still) President Trump.

Not only is the fed too powerful, so is the man occupying the Oval Office. I often hear commentators say that if Republicans take back both the House and Senate, we can stop Biden’s agenda. Really? How? Won’t he just issue more executive orders? If he consistently does “end runs” around a Democratic Congress, he’ll probably do far more of it with a Republican Congress.
O Father, bring us back to being a constitutional republic again, and one nation under God. Give the power back into the hands of Your people, those who will do Your will and bring Your Kingdom into the earth. Amen.
In the article, it would probably be more accurate to say that the government “THINKS it is solving more problems” by being involved. Nothing could be further from the truth. One of the greatest problems we have with gov’t attempting to solve problems is (1) they don’t belong there (2) they believe they are the end all solution (3) they make matters worse by their layers of departmental involvement (4) they try to solve without outside involvement and input (5) they most often exclude the God factor (6) when they mess up {which is often}, they have built in policies or rules that EXCLUDE them from being accountable. That just names a few.
The administration under Trump was an example of how gov’t should NOT be involved in everything but it t takes longer than 4 years to get that firmly established. One of the primary goals under Trump was outside private collaboration with gov’t and the reduction of unnecessary costs & gov’t manpower. It was working & teed some “lifer DC politicians” off. There were those in DC and across our nation that absolutely did not want “reduced power / control….and took steps to ensure that didn’t happen.
The Federal Government is to big.
Washington was meant as a part-time legislature.
Way to many departments, such as Energy, Education, EPA, HUD, etc.
Bureaucrats seldom do a full days work. They do only enough to get by.
We need to relearn what our US Constitution actually says about division of powers and what is the responsibility of the federal government and what belongs to the states and do all we can to get our elected law makers to move in that direction.

They way to get the government back on Jesus’ shoulders is for disciples of Christ to step up and uncompromisingly stand for their Biblical values and speak out. There is not one more nannasecond of time for complacency and caving in. As my pastor said in a sermon last night at Ministerio Internacional Jesus Rey De Gloria in Eatonton, GA: DO NOT CONFORM TO THIS WORLD!!!! Many passages of scripture backed him up!!!!
There is nothing above you oh LORD God Almighty! Everything must be as you decree, so those that try and revoke your people will fail and your will, will be done. We lean on you LORD to see us through for we know that this is just the beginning of things to come as man moves futher away from you oh LORD God Almighty. Help our leaders take a stand for the principles our Country was founded on. Our government, the current administration is not only too powerful, but it has become sinister. The current administration, which also included the Obama reign punishes citizens who disagree with destructive, socialist agendas and the over use of executive orders to strip Constitutionally protected liberties. They use power and resources to control Americans with agencies such as the DOJ and the IRS. Please give all citizens the wisdom and strength to take our Country back from the enemy and turn back to honoring you.

Yes…our government is too powerful. Please Lord, God…help us to pull in the reins on our government. People need to have a say in some of the things that are going on, but if you say anything…you’re considered a “threat to democracy” or a “racist”. This type of government needs to change and immediately. Please help us Lord in the name of Jesus Christ…amen
