Tensions with Iran remain high as the Trump administration prepares for another round of talks with Tehran, even as the regime continues to test the limits of the ceasefire and assert control over one of the world’s most important waterways.

After a weekend of U.S. strikes targeting Iranian military infrastructure, President Donald Trump announced Monday that Tehran had requested another meeting.
“IRAN HAS REQUESTED A MEETING. IT WILL TAKE PLACE TOMORROW IN DOHA!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
According to multiple reports, the United States and Iran have agreed to halt strikes and resume talks after Iran’s ceasefire violations were met with U.S. military action. The White House also confirmed to Fox News that vessels are clear to transit the Strait of Hormuz and that “technical talks are slated to continue” in Doha.
The Strait of Hormuz remains central to the ongoing crisis. The narrow waterway is one of the world’s most important routes for oil shipments, and any disruption there can affect energy prices, global trade, and military stability across the Middle East. Iran has repeatedly sought to use its position near the strait as leverage, warning other nations not to establish alternate maritime arrangements.
French President Emmanuel Macron recently announced that France and Oman would work together to secure maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. Macron said the two nations had agreed to coordinate demining efforts “to secure maritime routes and ensure free and unconditional passage through the Strait of Hormuz.”
Iran quickly rejected that proposal. Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi insisted that Tehran alone has authority over demining operations in the strait.
“We fundamentally do not permit any such thing,” he said, warning France “not to complicate it further with its provocations.”
That response reveals the heart of the problem. Iran does not simply want safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz. It wants control. Tehran is attempting to dictate the terms under which the nations of the world may move through international waters, even while the Trump administration is working to reopen the strait and restore stability.
At the same time, Iran’s aggression is not limited to missiles, ships, and military bases. Israel’s top cyber official says Iranian cyberattacks targeting Israel have nearly tripled since the U.S.-Israeli military offensive earlier this year. Yossi Karadi, director general of Israel’s National Cyber Directorate, said Israel recorded roughly 4,800 hostile cyber incidents in June 2026, compared with about 1,600 in June 2025.
“Unlike in the kinetic realm, there’s no ceasefire in cyberspace,” Karadi warned.
Those attacks reportedly targeted Israel’s critical infrastructure, central organizations, businesses, law firms, accounting firms, and members of the public. Israel has so far managed to defend its critical infrastructure, but some companies with weaker defenses reportedly had their systems wiped.
Even as tensions continue, President Trump is pointing to falling energy prices as evidence that his administration’s approach is producing results. The national average for gas fell to $3.86 Monday morning, according to AAA, while West Texas Intermediate crude sat just under $70.
“GAS PRICES COMING DOWN, FAST! REPORT ANY ABUSES AT RETAIL LEVEL!!!” Trump wrote.
He added that oil prices were “less than it was prior to the start of the Denuclearization of Iran,” even after a weekend of Iranian provocations and U.S. retaliation.
These developments demand urgent prayer. Iran’s regime continues to pursue dominance, threaten Israel, destabilize shipping lanes, and wage war in cyberspace. Yet the Lord is not confused by the schemes of nations. He sees every hidden plan, every backroom negotiation, every military movement, and every spiritual force at work behind earthly conflict.
Let’s pray for President Trump and his advisers as they enter these talks in Doha. Pray that they would not be deceived by false promises or pressured into weakness. Pray for Israel’s protection, especially against cyberattacks and threats to critical infrastructure. Pray for the Strait of Hormuz to remain open, for global energy markets to stabilize, and for Iran’s leaders to be restrained from further aggression.
Above all, pray that God would use this moment to expose evil, protect innocent life, defend Israel, and bring true peace—not the fragile peace of political agreements, but the peace that comes when nations submit to Him.

I wholeheartedly agree with the comments below. We are in a fight for the heart and soul of this country . The Iranians Regime (not the Iranian people) are following Mohammed’s rulebook when he took over Mecca.
Negotiations are just a way to gain time and strengthen their position until we let our guard down. Lying is an accepted method to gain their way in their twisted religion. Its one of their tools to fight with like their proxies. They are also working with the communists there and in our country. they did that with the nazis in wwII. Look it up. Satan is on their side.
But Jesus wins in the end!! Pray! Especially for those whose eyes and ears are closed to be opened!!
So for a month we hear that we’re overwhelming Iran, killing their leaders and destroying their military. Then suddenly we’re “negotiating”. Negotiating what exactly? Iran says they control Hormuz, they think Israel can’t retaliate against Hezbollah and suddenly they will get billions and billions of dollars. Does Trump think he’s “negotiating” with the iron workers Union? Does he think the Saudis and Qataris are our pals? Does he think Sunnis are fundamentally different from Shias? Do our foreign policy “experts” think that a balance of power can be indefinitely maintained in the jar of fighting scorpions known as the Muslim Middle East? Does anyone think that these psychopathic Islamist eschatologically minded fanatics care about economic “deals” or are swayed by our president’s personal charisma. When you defeat a tribally minded opponent he has to know he has been defeated. Iran is strutting around telling the world they won and at least to this point…they have.
Please, America open your eyes. I have had middle east persons work for me.

This scripture verses are my words to those who would tear down Godly people, churches, and policies that are meant for the great commandment to seek truth and act justly. It’s a warning! and I pray Lord it will reach the hearts and ears who have no hope or knowledge of your Power to allow commendation. Praying you will save our nation from this destiny. Lord, we pray that your will be done. Give all involved your truth and your strength to do your will and only your will for the middle east. We trust in your plan, your provision, your protection and your timing. For you are perfect.
When does our government, primarily President Trump, get it that trying to negotiate with Iran is an exercise in futility? These are unreasonable, evil people who cannot be negotiated with- people who have emigrated from this rogue nation have confirmed this by their statements to the press. The only thing that the fractured, mislead leadership in this nation will truly understand is total ruin. This is very unfortunate, but true. They have continually undermined the negotiation process, and their actions speak much louder than their empty, worthless words. Let’s do what we need to do with Iran, as we really have no other choice. Thank You Jesus.
