Iran Is ‘Weeks Rather Than Months’ Away From Weapons-Grade Uranium
As tensions rise in the Middle East, the UN is now saying that Iran is mere weeks away from having enough uranium to create a nuclear weapon.
From The Times of Israel. The head of the United Nations nuclear watchdog has said that it would take Iran just weeks to have enough enriched uranium to make a nuclear bomb, and that Tehran’s activity, alongside the limited access it grants to its facilities, “raises eyebrows.”

But International Atomic Energy Agency chief Rafael Mariano Grossi told Deutsche Welle in a report published Monday that attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities should be a “no-go.”
Grossi said that Iran is “weeks rather than months” away from having enough enriched uranium to make a nuclear weapon. …
Iran’s nuclear goals, he maintained, are “a matter of speculation,” though he criticized the country for its enrichment activity that “raises eyebrows” and its opaque dealings with UN nuclear inspectors, who are not being given the level of access to facilities that he believes they need.
Grossi said there are still unresolved issues about Iran’s nuclear program, such as traces of enriched uranium found in locations where it was not expected to be. …
Grossi’s remarks came amid a recent flare in tensions between Israel and Iran that appeared to bring the two countries to the brink of open war. …
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has the last say on Tehran’s nuclear program, issued a fatwa, or religious decree, in the early 2000s banning the development of nuclear weapons because they are contrary to “the spirit of Islam.”
But while Iran denies ever seeking such a weapon, Israel and the West believe the country had an active nuclear weapons program until at least 2003.
Grossi said in February that Iran has continued to enrich uranium at rates of up to 60 percent purity, which is far beyond the needs for commercial nuclear use and is a short technical step away from weapons-grade 90%.
Iran claims its nuclear program is only for civilian use, pointing to the fatwa. However, experts say there is no civilian application for uranium enriched to that level, and Iran has been known to ramp up nuclear activity to flex its muscles during times of increased tensions with the West. …
If Iran has the ability to make nuclear weapons, it could spell disaster for the Middle East. Share this article to mobilize prayers for Israel.

Heavenly Father, I humbly come before Your Throne of Grace and ask that Your protective arms enfold me and the citizens of this nation, the United States of America. As we live our lives, we daily hear about the tragic results of war and the threats that are uttered against our nation, the United States of America, and against us by Iran, North Korea, China, and Russia; to name a few. I beg You, dear Heavenly Father, to hear my prayer as You have promised. Everyday, I hear and read of threats to the security and stability of this nation, the United States of America. As You have said, there will always be threats of war and rumors or war. We also now hear the threat of attack of every form and of every kind upon our children and upon us. I pray, Heavenly Father, that You and Your holy angels would defend us from attack, confound those who would deprive us of our freedom, thwart the evil efforts of those who intend to cause pain, suffering, and death by their cowardly acts of assassination, humiliation, intimidation, murder, and fear. In Jesus’ mighty and holy Name, and by His authority, I pray. Amen.
Iran must not be allowed to have weapons grade nuclear energy. However, we the people of the church must not just answer, “Bomb them now.” We must pray and allow Almighty God through the power of the Holy Spirit and tell us and Israel what to do. That being said we can’t delay in our response, being led by the Holy Spirit, and know what to do now! We need to pray more fervently for Benjamin Netanyahu and the people of Israel and the intervention of Almighty God in this situation and for our U. S. government to stand strong for Israel because if Iran is allowed to come after Israel, we will be next.
