Despite how our culture may look, God is answering our prayers. Intercessor, be encouraged by this powerful article!
From The Christian Post. When you look around at culture you may feel like our values have been defeated. It’s easy to let yourself be discouraged. But a wise person recently reminded me, don’t look at what’s not happening, look at what God is doing. And when you start looking for God’s hand at work, you may just feel differently about the state of our nation. Could we go as far as saying “we are winning?”
I think you can.
Connect with others in your state in prayer.
There is an increase in answered prayer in our nation. Yes, we are in a battle, and we see the darkness around us, but these measurable answers to prayer encourage us and build faith! Praise God for recent wins for the biblical values.
Business impacted
Since Target introduced its Take Pride collection for children, the backlash has been big. In the first two weeks of May, when the company’s Pride controversy began to go viral, its market capitalization declined by $1.85 billion. It further eroded and by the end of May had fallen an additional $11.66 billion. The popularity of the brand is at its lowest level ever. Are Americans willing to change their shopping habits to stand for the protection of children? Good news — millions have!
Disney’s LGBTQ advocacy for children has grown and its agenda is now fully exposed. Parents and lawmakers are fighting back. Low attendance at Disney parks and flops at the box office illustrate the impact. The company lost $659 million in streaming last quarter. In March 2023, Disney officially opposed laws protecting kids from LGBTQ content in Florida, they have lost $50 billion and have the worst stock performance since 1974 — down 45% in 2023 alone. Even cultural giants can fall when we pray and take action.
After Bud Light featured transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, a man who pretends to be a woman, in an ad campaign, consumers responded with a vigorous boycott and pushback. Bud Light fell from first place in the market to fourth and endured a stunning 34% decline in sales at high-volume bars and restaurants. Do consumers hold power? Yes. Yes, they do.
Parents pushing back
Parents in Virginia made national news for pushing back against harmful school officials and policies. Prayer and action affected change: new Virginia state education standards acknowledge parents’ rights over children, requires trans name changes in writing with parent approval, protect kids from having to use locker rooms and bathrooms with kids of different birth gender, and more. What praise!
When a public library featured graphic LGBTQ books as part of a Pride display in June, parents asked the library staff to remove the books. The library’s board refused. So, the group mounted a campaign to stop funding the library with taxpayer money – and overwhelmingly won. The woke library will lose 84% of its budget. Taxpayers hold power. Praise God for these engaged citizens — and voters.
Boldness growing
Risking career, security, reputation, and even safety, whistleblowers expose wrongdoing and cover-up, reporting systematic or top-down abuse, fraud, and mismanagement that would otherwise remain hidden. Joseph Ziegler, a Democrat, is an IRS criminal investigator with more than 12 years of experience who exposed the Bidens and the FBI corruption and cover-up before the 2020 election.
In 2016, influencer Milo was heralded as a hero, gaining fame in the MTV documentary “Transformation.” She chronicled the beginning of her transition to live as a male. She said she felt “invincible.” Milo has returned to the screen, as a female again, sharing her regret for her transition. Milo is not alone. Chloe Cole is an outspoken detransitioner and advocate for children, speaking recently at a Teens Against Gender Mutilation event, undergirded in prayer by IFA Massachusetts State Prayer group. It’s an answer to the prayers of many who have prayed for these young people who have been deceived. Keep praying — it’s working.
Growing numbers believe birth gender should determine sports participation, up from 62% in 2021 to 69%, according to a Gallup poll. The International Cycling Body banned men from competing as women. The Miss Italy pageant banned men from competing as women. The Miss United States of America pageant sued, and won, to ban men from competing as transgender women. A Gallup survey also indicated that more people in 2023 believe that changing one’s gender is morally wrong. Eyes are opening.
Supreme Court decisions
The leviathan Roe v. Wade was toppled. “The power of prayer, for us, kept us going,” said Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch while describing the Dobbs case hearing … and the excitement outside in the rally with thousands of people: people were praying.” IFA intercessors and millions of people of faith have prayed since the inception of Roe all the way through the Supreme Court hearing on December 1st, 2021. The steadfastness of those who prayed and took action for years was all part of taking down the giant of national abortion. This is a monumental win.
Coach Kennedy is free to publicly pray. “A government entity sought to punish an individual for engaging in a personal religious observance, based on a mistaken view that it has a duty to suppress religious observances even as it allows comparable secular speech”:
The majority opinion written by Justice Neil Gorsuch affirmed the protection of the rights of Americans — and yes, coaches — to pray in public. The more we use our God-given rights, the stronger they are.
Religious freedom was delivered in the Supreme Court decision of the USPS letter carrier Gerald Groff. “Today … the Supreme Court of the United States granted a victory to former postal carrier Gerald Groff against the United States Postal Service, after Groff lost his job for observing the Sunday Sabbath,” Kelly Shackelford of First Liberty, attorney for the postal carrier, shared, adding this is one of four wins for religious freedom at the Supreme Court in the past year alone. The Court’s decision restored religious freedom to every American in the workplace.
No more affirmative action for schools. The Supreme Court ruled that the race-conscious admissions policies of Harvard University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill violate the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment. Affirmative action for colleges is over. Racial preferences are no longer allowed for admission to colleges and universities. The Court is aligning with the Constitution and righting some wrongs. That is a win.
States seeing wins
States are winning against a pornography giant. Pornhub, owned by MindGeek, is one of the most visited sites on the internet. New laws in Utah and Virginia requiring age verification for online porn caused PornHub to disable access to their site from these states. The genius law creates liability for PornHub if their site is accessed by those under 18. This is a huge win in the fight against porn access to kids. Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi have passed similar laws, and several others have introduced age verification bills.
A judge calls out the Biden Administration for censoring free speech. Missouri sued the Biden Administration, alleging collusion with online platforms, and censoring free speech (Missouri v. Biden). While the case proceeds, the judge enjoined the Administration from “doing what they have no legal right to do — contacting social media companies for the purpose of urging, encouraging, pressuring, or inducing in any manner the removal, deletion, suppression, or reduction of content containing protected free speech posted on their platforms…” This could be a landmark case.
Louisiana Intercessors for America joined forces with Louisiana Family Forum and churches to seek an override to the Governor’s veto of a bill that would protect kids from undergoing trans surgeries (HB648). The governor’s veto was overridden, and children are protected. Louisiana is one of 21 states that have passed laws preventing some or all gender transition procedures for minors.
A Montana commission withdrew the Montana State Library from membership in the American Library Association (ALA), which is led by an avowed Marxist. Commissioner Tom Burnett requested a letter be sent to the ALA clarifying that “our oath of office and resulting duty to the Constitution forbids association with an organization led by a Marxist.” The commission boldly stood up to the ALA and detached themselves from the radical association.
Stephanie Carter, a nurse at Teague Veterans Center in Texas filed a lawsuit against the Biden VA to keep VA hospitals from becoming federal abortion clinics and force Christian doctors and nurses to perform them. She won her case. Christian men and women employed by the VA will not have to participate. People like Stephanie are boldly pushing back against ungodly legislation and action. And God is answering prayers.
While we know there still are (and always will be) many things to continue praying about in our nation, it builds our faith to recognize the wins we see happening around us. This is just a partial list of recent “wins.” I bet you can add some wins to the ledger. I challenge you to start keeping track.
Be encouraged.
The battle is not one-sided. Plenty of warriors for biblical values are taking the field and making a difference. Boldness is growing. The Church is waking up.
God is on the move — let’s look for His hand!

One indicator of our winning is the hope in our hearts when we get at rest with God and at peace. Satan creates turmoil and confusion to control people while God brings peace and rest. If you hear voices saying how America is going down that is not God but fearful devisive thought and spirits. This is OUR land and just one scripture answers all > “IF MY PEOPLE who are called by My Name (born again not the religious crowd but have intimate relationship with God – KNOWN of God not workers of iniquity doing things for God and not known by Him – good works are good but only fruit for those known of God eternally)—– SOOOO IF MY PEOPLE will HUMBLE THEMSELVES and PRAY and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS – —–THEN WILL I HEAR from Heaven and HEAL THEIR LAND.”
Our future land is with Jesus but currently I live in the USA. God did not move me to a foreign land. Bless not curse the land you stand on, really if you are His the land you stand on is blessed already so spread the blessing. IF AMERICA FALLS it will be because GOD’S PEOPLE did not HUMBLE, PRAY, AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS not the rest of the world. We hold the power of God in our hands and tongues, anything Jesus did we can do more of, even greater because the Holy Spirit is in us MAKING US HIS OWN.
Let the CHURCH/WE HIS PEOPLE arise and let the enemy be scattered. God is and will use HIS PEOPLE as His agents to change this world and back HIS PEOPLE by His Power and presence and angels.
YES, Israel contains His original covenant people as well as other countries but we are Abraham’s Seed according to God’s promise through the Seed targeted, the Son of God and Savior promised to Adam and Eve and their human race we call Jesus. God’s people include the covenant believing Jews (including those who have not found Jesus was the ONE they were believing the promised Savior is- unless they purposefully reject truth – not just by tradition but by knowing Jesus is the One and rejecting Him – seekers will find Him) and also the TRUE Christians who know and are Known of God. God’s people may include those who seek God with what they know and do not reject Him, seeking God vs rejecting Him. We like to think God can only deal with people through His Word, true in fact but fact also includes dreams and visions and words God deals with individuals. Missionaries infiltrated a head hunting tribe in Africa in the early 1900’s to find a peaceful tribe unharmed by the head hunter tribe. Relations and the Gospel opened the door for them to deal with the head hunters. Shockingly, the peaceful tribe had a cross in the center of the tribe. God had dealt with an elder with a dream, showing him that they were to love Him and that He sent His Son to save them. God also said to love Him and love others also. Simple messages inspired by God they tried to live by
God’s Word is written down for all to read, inspired by and words from the Holy Spirit as the Author. God love all humans and deals with us individually. Morality was written on even the hearts of head hunters and perverted. God always tries to reach us as we journey through this world – always it is what we do with the truths that He reveals to us as to whether we can receive salvation through Jesus. Truth seekers that do not choose to reject truths will find Jesus I believe. Let us reveal truth in word and actions through love and understanding – give freely as God had given us freely – hating sin in ourselves and others but loving sinners.
We need to be winners and conquerors over evil and help others be winners. I long for Jesus return, not as an escape scheme, but to see Him. But until then “occupy until I come” drives me to be a conqueror not conquered, a winner not loser or weiner/whiner, to see hope for America, others, and myself rather than just sit and say “come quickly Lord Jesus”. Let us WIN by putting on the Mind of Christ Jesus rather than the mind of the flesh or the world. Sin? We all tend to sin. Seek forgiveness and grow in God not let the devil condemn you. We CAN NOT STAND in our flesh and righteousness but CAN STAND in JESUS RIGHTEOUSNESS. “No I but Christ in me.” Quit condemning self and others and walking in condemnation. Run to God, lay down the sins and burdens, snuggle up to God and commune in His presence with Him and go and grow. Does a parent condemn a child for falling? Never! If the child never grows up it is a pain but you still love the child. Yet we expect so much of ourselves to do it ourselves rather than go and grow in Christ ablility and strength in us as born again believers and listen and walk with the Holy Spirit Who is in us.
Quick add on- I studied religions and told God that there is good in almost all religions but I did/do not consider Christianity a religion. I asked Him to explain that to me. Shockingly He did, He said “religion is man’s way to reach God. Christianity is God’s way to reach man. They are opposites. The only trouble I have with My people is when they are religious.” God’s definition of religion is different than man’s. We all have ignorance, can count of God’s definition. I saw only 2 positive references to religion in the whole Bible, in the New Testament. Even the Greek/English translation was positive. Why would that differ from the rest of the Bible where religion was a big enemy to God and His relationship with men? The translation was positive but the greek characters were different than other antonyms and synonyms for religion. I went to a Greek scholar who quickly said the proper translation was manner of walk not religion. The 2 scriptures properly translated are: “Pure manner of walk (vs religion) is to do good—” and “Let not your manner of walk (vs religion) be in vain.” I heard from God, no deception there – what God calls religion is to be avoided like a plague, keeps people from finding God promoting false gods and erroneous ‘truths’ and ways.

Thank you Father. Forgive us for allowing ourselves to be disheartened and focused on the evil growing around us rather than the Victories you are giving us as an answer to prayers and intercession.
Thank you for your Son through whom we are forgiven and to whom we can lead others to find forgiveness. I do not want the devil to have a single victory and pray that the only ones who end up in hell are Satan and his demons. Deliver every person on this earth who is bound by the enemy, and let the Church rise up and Praise You Lord.

I am definitely encouraged by this post. I have been asking God for some encouragement as i have been praying for so many years for all these and for others as well as my personal life, my health. This was a total blessing to be made aware of and a strong encouragement to keep on asking in prayer for everything the Lord puts on my heart, regarding our world, our nation, states, counties,cities, towns, friends, family… our personal spheres of influence, as well as my personal life!!! To keep seeing/ believing with God’s supernatural vision…FAITH …..INSTEAD of viewing it from the world’s perspective….which only produces hopelessness. Jms 1:1-8
Jms 4:7,8 then comes to mind…it is a powerful thing when we can corporately come humbly to God in prayer, resisting the devil, and in drawing ourselves to Him, the devil flees! God, then promises to come close to us. What a WIN!

On the 22nd anniversary of the September 11 attacks a double rainbow appeared over New York City, providing a moment of hope and peace on that somber day. The rainbow was seen stretching over Manhattan starting near the one World Trade Center & going beyond the Empire State Building. The rainbow was a welcome moment of beauty & hope on that day of remembrance. People marveled at it & there are some beautiful photos of it on the internet! To me that was God using His creation to speak to us! Genesis 9:17 says: “And God said, this is the sign (the rainbow) of the covenant that I’ve set up between me and everything living on the Earth.” Father God, Thank You that You designed the rainbow to reassure us that You remembered Your promise when we saw it. You are merciful, faithful & a covenant keeping God. We thank You! In Jesus name. Amen.

I was just thinking about the burden of prayer, how Elijah ran exhausted, how the adversary will try to wear the saints out, and this article is, in a way, rejuvenating and inspiring.
Father, You get all the glory.
And praise the Lord for other victories: The demise of the Covid lockdowns and mask mandates for our children; the defeat of funding for abortions in the military; the renstatement of those who refused the Covid vacines; The change in the approach of those intessors who showed love and gave out literature at the Satanic Convention in
Boston; the Atlanta chief who won his case against the city for quoting Scripture in his Sunday school class and received back pay. The override of the Govenors veto in NC; Too many answers to prayer to enumerate!

Thanks for the careful enumeration of these hallmark decisions and actions that are occurring in so many places in our nation. Praise God for all the Intercessors’ prayers and activities around the nation, praying at all times in the Spirit and asking for our gracious Lord to reach out and grant us victory over those who would circumvent our rights and privileges as citizens of this nation and more importantly citizens of the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I live in Portland Oregon a horribly woke state. I am a regularly IFA prayer person and so this is very encouraging for me. I pray regularly for my state and this nation. I clasp hands with all who are praying for America and I do see the tide turning. Thank you Jesus.
We are VERY thankful for these encouraging accounts! However, just know that there is much to do even yet. And continue to believe Christ for His Lordship to trounce the petty rebellion of the Left.

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito on Sept. 14 temporarily placed on hold a lower court ruling that restricted federal agencies from contacting social media firms with requests to remove content while the justices consider how to handle the case.
We have group in Lubbock Tx and our group has been praying for America and leaders and legislation for 10 years this month. I have been supporting Interressors since l970’s. I love prayer. Powerful.
Thank you for the information showing that God is working, but we must continue to be vigilant in our praying and be aware of anything that will threaten our freedom, development of our children, their minds, knowledge of their creation,
they are our future and their young lives are being threatened by evil. But our God reigns. He is moving mountains and will continue, but his children must pray without ceasing.
I have been a member of Intercessors since l970’s and we have a group in Lubbock, Tx whereby we pray for America and our leaders and legislation; this is the 10th year to meet weekly. Our group is called Pray America.

Almighty GOD has promised to answer the prayers of His people.
His promises are sacred.
To ask HIM to continue to answer our prayers is casting doubt on HIS veracity.
Ask in accordance with HIS will.
Isaiah 65:24 “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will. answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.”
Forgive us LORD GOD for casting doubt on your veracity.
Open our eyes to Your Majesty and to the sacred truth of Your promises.

I started an 8 week class this week called: Biblical Citizenship in Modern America. Nehemiah 8:9 “Nehemiah, the governor, along with Ezra the priest and scholar and the Levites who were teaching the people, said to all the people, “This day is holy to God, your God, don’t weep and carry on. They said this because all the people were weeping as they heard the words of The Revelation. Ezra was reading in the town square at the request of the people. He was standing on a raised platform they had constructed for the occasion. This “Book of the Revelation of Moses” is what God had commanded for Israel. MY PRAYER: “GOD, WE BELIEVERS IN AMERICA ARE NOW AS DESPERATE FOR LIVING OUT YOUR WORD AS THE ANCIENT ISREALITES WERE IN THE BOOK OF NEHEMIAH! CAUSE US TO WEEP OVER HOW FAR WE HAVE STRAYED FROM BEING BIBLICAL CITIZENS WHO PARTICIPATE IN THE PUBLIC SQUARE & TAKE CAPTIVE THE CULTURE AROUND US. WE ARE COMING OUT OF OUR APATHY. Dear Lord and Almighty God, Your Word says You always hear the prayers of those who love You. This is our confidence, that whenever we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us. I pray this morning for a spirit of Godly sorrow to saturate those who don’t love You. I am asking for You to direct this sorrow to distress, which leads to crying out for You, then repentance and salvation. We have a world of woes Father but there is just one answer to them all, Yeshua HaMaschiach, Almasih Eisaa, Yēsū Jīdū, Yīśu Masīha, Iisus Khristos…Jesus Christ. Please continue to empower IFA and all who pray, to do so in the love of Jesus Christ, emboldened by the Holy Spirit and with confidence in You alone. Thank you Father. Thank You Jesus. Thank You Holy Spirit. Amen
