I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we thank you for the faithful intercessors who are obedient to go where you send them. Raise up an army that will go where you say go, pray where you say to pray, and do what you ask them to do, in Jesus name, amen.

It seems as if no matter where we look, we are hearing about radical Islam. From attempting to alter the educational standards at our school boards, running for office in government, to markets selling halal foods. We cannot look away. A Texas intercessor shared something she came across while prayer-walking at her state capitol.

Post a prayer for your state!

Hope has been a faithful intercessor in her city for many years. Because the government was always a topic she was passionate about, three years ago, the Lord impressed upon her the need to go and pray during the Texas legislative session, so she did, normally traveling with other prayer warriors from her city. It was in Austin that she connected with Donna, IFA’s State Prayer Leader.

In the first year, Hope would travel to the Capitol every week or every other week. “When the first session ended, we talked with some of the organizers. Our group asked, “What are we going to do next? Are we done?” I said, “We have made headway in the Capitol. This is our territory; this is our land. We need to maintain it,” she said. So, she and her friend continued to go once a week, every week, the first year, to walk around the Capitol and pray.

We show up ahead of time to prayer walk outdoors and then join the procession indoors. We do most of our praying inside the Capitol, but we also drive around and pray; other times we anoint with oil and pour salt symbolically and prophetically declaring we are the salt of the earth. Two weeks ago, another intercessor and I laid our hands on the two pillars in the Rotunda, prayed, and declared that the Lord would tear down the walls of wickedness and bring in righteousness. We want to be open to the Holy Spirit, and however the Lord leads us.”

Most of the time, we walk in and pray blessings, bringing in the light, and praying for whoever the Lord puts in our path. Over the years, the security there has been very inviting and kind. We can have conversations with them,” Hope said.

The second year, I asked the Lord, ‘What do you want us to do?’ I expected him to say go once a month, but I clearly heard him say. ‘Go twice a month. For the past two years, we have gone twice a month.

Last year, when I would pray indoors, I noticed a cloth prayer mat, it’s almost like a prayer shawl, but thick enough to be used as a mat. When I saw it, I knew it was a Muslim prayer mat. Normally, the mat would be neatly folded underneath the shelf where the sign-in table is when you walk in. Last week, I met up with another intercessor who lives in Austin to pray together. This time, something was different.”

Islamic prayer mat at the Austin capitol.

“When we went in to pray, the prayer mat was left out, sitting on the bench. It’s out in the open, no longer hidden away. I thought to myself, “They’re trying to gain authority here,” I noticed it had the words, “grassroots Islam” embroidered on it,” she said.

As I read those words, I really did sense that they plan to take over Texas and this nation. They are starting at the grassroots level to gain favor and work their way up.” Together, we prayed and worshipped in the room. We laid our hands on the cloth and prayed over it.”

“As I held the mat in my hand, my sister and I declared that wherever we set our feet, we have authority. We declared that Jesus is victorious and greater than any other god, and Satan is under our feet. What the Lord instructed me to pray is that whenever they come to pull the mat out to pray, they will have a revelation of who the real Jesus is, come to salvation, and that he will reveal Himself to them like never before. And they will have to go and tell other Muslims that Jesus is real. Then I folded it and put it back under the shelf,” she said.

Hope said that at seventy-one, she wants to be in God’s will, not religion, not what she wants to do, but what God wants her to do. I imagine there will be more assignments at the Capitol as she faithfully intercedes.

It’s important to note that “grassroots Islam” is an organization that has been around for some time. The mat may have been from there or homemade. That’s not important. What matters is the message. Grassroots movements are when ordinary people in the community advocate for social, political, or environmental change. They start at the bottom and work their way up. Grassroots efforts have been very popular for making an impact on the government.

The agenda of radical Islam that we see sweeping America didn’t happen overnight. They have watched our nation, studied our laws, and used what works. Grassroots campaigns are effective, and they know it. What I found interesting about Hope’s story is that for a while the mat was neatly put away, until it wasn’t. Now it was left out for all to see.

I felt that to be prophetic. For the longest time, the agenda of Islam to take over our cities and install Sharia law was hidden, until they became emboldened. They are no longer hiding their plans for our nation. They broadcast it across social media. The Islamic prayer calls ring loudly in our cities. They show up at our school boards demanding to rewrite history. They run for office as a play to change policies and bring their ideology in. What will we do?

Here is how we can pray:

Pray that believers will no longer be silent and hidden (Proverbs 28:1).

We need faithful intercessors who aren’t afraid to show up, speak up, or, if you can’t, pray fervently (2 Timothy 1:7).

Pray that the true roots of the Islamic agenda will be revealed and blind eyes will be opened (Mark 4:22).

Pray that governmental leaders who are paid to partner with Islam against America will be exposed (Luke 8:17).

Pray for our governmental leaders to stand strong against Sharia (Joshua 1:9).

Pray that Muslims will have a revelation of who Jesus really is and will be saved and come to the knowledge of truth (2 Corinthians 4:3-6).

How are you praying for our nation?

Oftentimes I do not know how to pray. Thank you for the written prayers that accompany the problem. They help me to pray more clearly and fervently. I am 81 years of age and caretaker for my husband so travel is out of the question. But I truly believe “that the prayers of a righteous person will avail much”. So I do my best and I pray for your ministry, often for your protection and to continue the work God has assigned you.

Blessings,
Kathy

I also agree with Hope and Donna’s prayers for Texas and everyone who pulls out the prayer mat to find Jesus and to tell others about him. Thank you for these faithful servants and their obedience.

Sharia law is illegal according to our Constitution. But as usual our government leaders ignore the Constitution instead of enforcing it. Abba please wake up Governing authority to abide by and enforce our existing Constitution and Bill of Rights. Also humble their hearts to turn back to You and fear the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob, the God of Israel! Praying America repents before YHVH Amen

AMEN!! to all of the above prayer requests! The LORD God is our Founder! He neither sleeps nor slumbers. Praise the Lord for the bold women who prayed over that prayer mat! If those wanting to spread Islam are going public, we must too. “One can put a thousand to flight; two can put ten thousand to flight.” May the living God give us boldness! For His name’s sake! And for the Gospel’s sake!

May their “grassroots “ efforts wither. Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion. Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withers afore it grows up. Psalm 129.5,6.

Within the last month God has given three of us detailed dreams and hidden information exposing the very same thing in Missouri. Only He could have orchestrated and coordinated the insights. And this came just as the movie A Great Awakening has been showing in theaters, detailing the true spiritual underpinnings in America. Praise God for His hand on this nation!

Lord, please open the hearts and eyes of every American to see what is happening to America and take responsibility for the future of America by praying. Seeking Gods forgiveness and mercy for our complacency.
