I Prayed have prayed
Dear Lord, You are in control of our lives. The world of the media is littered with those who are against You. Show them Your heart, Lord. Allow Your truth to be broadcasted for all to hear, and please encourage those who espouse Your truth to continue doing so, regardless of what others say. In Jesus' name, Amen.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has become a very prominent figure in the realm of political media. Staunchly conservative, she is a striking opposite to the preceding far-left secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. Her outspoken nature, straightforward demeanor, and sharp criticism of the political Left have marked her effectiveness as a mouthpiece for President Trump’s administration.

Early Life and Career

Born in Atkinson, New Hampshire, as the youngest child of four, Press Secretary Leavitt was raised in a Catholic family, which she cites as pivotal in forming her political views. Her family owns a local ice cream stand, and her father owns a used truck dealership in the nearby town of Plaistow. Early on, her family instilled Catholic faith-based values into their children, with an emphasis on hard work and civil service. This was later reflected in her schooling. She attended Central Catholic High School in nearby Lawrence, Massachusetts, where she became an All-Star on the school softball team.

In 2015, Leavitt’s softball talent would land her a scholarship to attend Saint Anselm College. She already expressed her affinity for both public media and the government by earning a major in communications and a minor in political science. Being in a Benedictine liberal arts college, she was certainly a peculiar student given her conservative views. Leavitt’s experience at university put steel in her resolve against peer pressure and allowed her to develop a contentment with being deemed an outsider for telling the truth — qualities that would later prove invaluable. During school, her love of sports led her to intern with NBC Sports, but it was her continued interest in the government that called her to political journalism.

In her sophomore year, Secretary Leavitt became involved with the New Hampshire Institute of Politics, interning for a local TV station and a United States senator. She soon left softball entirely to focus on her newfound calling. She applied for internships at news stations and eventually interned at the White House Office of Presidential Correspondence. Even in university, she was already helping to write letters on behalf of the White House. Leavitt also found the time to establish a school broadcasting group and write for its paper, the Saint Anselm Crier. It’s here that Press Secretary Leavitt’s conservative political views flourished in front of an audience. Her frank opinion articles openly criticized the bulk of legacy media and served as premonitions for her future role in the 2024 Trump Administration. In 2019, she became the first person in her immediate family to graduate from college.

Her Work with President Trump

Press Secretary Leavitt hit the ground running after graduation. Her previous internships proved fruitful when she was hired to work full-time for the White House Office of Presidential Correspondence. She worked under other politicians in President Trump’s camp and was soon elevated to her office’s associate director, then to assistant White House press secretary—all the while gaining experience for her future role. After the 2020 election, she alleged that the elections were steeped in fraud, and was not afraid to make her thoughts known.

After the elections, she returned to her home state to run for the House of Representatives in New Hampshire’s first congressional district. She won the Republican primary before being defeated by Democrat Chris Pappas. In all these setbacks, Leavitt never lost her ambition. After her loss, she switched her focus to the next Presidential elections. Press Secretary Leavitt found work at MAGA Inc. in 2023. She was also featured in Project 2025’s Conservative Governance 101 program, where she appeared in a video lesson on ā€œThe Art of Professionalismā€. She was engaged to her now husband, Nicholas Riccio, that same year.

Later on, her hard work and devotion to the conservative cause were noticed by President Trump’s circle, and she was appointed as his campaign press secretary for the 2024 election cycle. During this time, she gave birth to her first child with her husband only days before Trump was nearly assassinated while campaigning in Pennsylvania. Upon hearing the news, she returned to work on the campaign mere hours after the attack, even though she had recently given birth and was given a month to recover by the campaign’s co-manager.

Shortly after President Trump’s victory, he personally picked Karoline Leavitt to be his new White House press secretary. He had undoubtedly noticed her tact, drive, and unshakable resolve under pressure. This, combined with her skill (and directness) as a speaker, made her the ideal woman for the job in Trump’s eyes. The President notably remarked: ā€œKaroline is smart, tough, and has proven to be a highly effective communicator.ā€ Ā In January 2025, Karoline Leavitt became the youngest White House Press Secretary in history at the age of 27. She has characteristically hit the ground running since then–continuing to espouse her long documented disdain for the Leftist legacy media, and making waves by inviting the newer internet-based media landscape into the White House.

How Can We Pray for Her?

Press Secretary Leavitt continues to make headlines as the Trump Administration’s mouthpiece. Her work puts her at the forefront of the media’s scrutiny and malice. Here are some prayer points for her as she works in this high-pressure environment:

  1. First and foremost, pray that God’s will be done in Press Secretary Leavitt’s life and work above all things. Pray that God’s purpose for her work would manifest, and that any machinations from media outlets, politicians, or herself would not interfere.
  2. Pray that she heeds God’s Word and listens to what He would have her do and say.
  3. Pray that her faith in Jesus be made whole and that she feels God’s presence in her life.
  4. Pray that she and her family are protected from those who wish her harm.
  5. Lastly, please pray that the Spirit of God strengthens and encourages her to practice integrity and perseverance in everything she does.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank you for this wonderful article on Karoline Leavitt. It’s apparent that God has chosen her for ā€œsuch a Time as thisā€ and it is nice to hear how he has directed her steps from a very young age to the position she is in now.

I noticed this seems to be a pattern for all of Trump’s cabinet picks as well, and we are thankful!

I enjoyed praying in agreement with your prayer points for Secretary Leavitt.

For all intercessors here, I would like to point out one MAIN thing.

The judicial branch of our government is hamstringing the presidents efforts to remove the illegal aliens. If they continue to be successful, the left globalist element in this world will have its way once again in the 2028 presidential election. They will have their voting block. Nothing that Trump has done or will do, will matter.

It is my belief that this prayer topic must be PREEMINENT for all of us.

Karoline Leavitt never ceases to amaze me with her maturity, quick wit, intelligence, knowledge and being verbally astute. God has anointed her with these special gifts! I pray that she would never think that she did it completely on her own ability, but that she would give praise and glory to Him, “the Author and the Finisher of our faith”, because in Him we have “our entire being”. I am glad to see that she always wears a cross pendant.
